• The APNIC EC usually meets four times a year
• Five face-to-face meetings held since APNIC 45 AGM
• Joint Board meeting with LACNIC Board held in December 2018
• Planning for a joint board meeting with ICANN Board during ICANN 64 in Kobe
• Next EC meeting: Brisbane, 4-6 June 2019

• Overall membership growth in line with budget assumptions

• 2018 operating surplus exceeded budget
⎯ Revenue over budget and expenses are below budget
⎯ Total surplus for 2018 is AUD 1.11 million

8. APNIC Policy endorsement
• The APNIC EC reviewed and resolved to endorse one
policy proposal that reached consensus in 2018

• Thanks for the community's active participation during the
Policy SIG and on the mailing list

9. NRO NC / ASO AC
• The APNIC EC appointed Simon Baroi to the NRO Number
Council / ASO Address Council for a one-year term from 1
January 2019 to 31 December 2019

10. IANA Review Committee
• The APNIC EC appointed Zulfadly Syam to the IANA
Review Committee (RC) for a two-year term from 1 January
2019 to 31 December 2020
• APNIC's representatives to the RC in 2019:

⎯ Zulfadly Syam (appointed by the EC)

11. Review of electronic voting system
• The APNIC EC considered and supported the introduction
of a full electronic voting system for the exercise of APNIC
Members’ voting rights at the AGM
• The online voting system must be reliable and not
susceptible to any interference or abuse and is trusted by
both the APNIC Members and the broader Internet
community
• The Secretariat will prepare an implementation plan for EC
consideration

12. Service Partners trial
• The APNIC EC resolved to approve the Service Partners
trial with the aim of improving support to new APNIC
Members according to local needs
• The three partners are:
⎯ Nepal Research and Education Network (NepalREN)
⎯ Malaysia Network Operators Group (MyNOG)
⎯ Philippine Cable Television Association Inc (PCTA)
• The pilot program will continue and be evaluated by the EC
and Secretariat at the end of 2019
