Every year, around 20.4 million students in the United States go to college. Most
students enroll in their college or university without thinking of a simple question.
Is all the hard work worth it? Personally, I have never given this question any

sermon is to challenge us and encourage us in the sovereign work of the Holy Spirit

Let us begin by defining the word regeneration. According Charles Ryrie
regeneration is an act of God that imparts eternal life to sinful man (Ryrie, 1965).
Titus 3:5 (King James Version) states, Not by works of righteousness which we
have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration,
and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Many individuals will sometimes utilize the words

One of the earliest ideas of separating powers came in the 1600 s and is evidenced
by the idea that the parliament then is what we would consider today as being the
Legislative branch of government since it was in charge of taxes. To be a king in
those days would be similar to the Executive branch, as the king conducted wars and
enforced the law. However, credit is often given to Baron de Montesquieu, a French
philosopher. According to the authors of our text book, John Locke initially desired
there to be to branches of government, a legislative branch to create the laws and an

adding a judiciarybranch to resolve conflicts that the two branches by incur.
When written, the Constitution laid out the basis for the separation of powers. In order
to prevent any one branch of having complete control and power, each of the

legislative branch of government is responsible for making and passing laws and is

The Charge of the Light Brigade at Balaklava by Lord Alfred Tennyson is a poem
about the historical battle that took place between British and Russia during the
Crimean War. Tennyson wrote the poem as a remembrance of the heroism and
bravery the British soldiers showed during the battle. The poem is well known for its
repetitive rhythm that is used to portray the sound of the charge. The repetition used
in the poem widely affects the rhythm, emotion, and story being told. Without it, the
poem could not have nearly portrayed the strength of the battle as well as it did.
This poem uses a technique known as falling rhythm. Falling rhythm is when the
stress is on the first beat of the line, and then falls off for the remaining words. This
can be deemed important because of the way it is a symbol for the fall of the British
troops. Although the rhyme scheme changes throughout the poem, Tennyson uses
very similar strategies within each stanza. He often rhymes the last word, and
sometimes even uses the same final word for many line. For example, When can
their glory fade! / Oh the wild charge they made! / All the world wondered. / Honor
the charge they made! / Honor the Light Brigade, / Noble six hundred! Even though
the stress is on the first beat, the last words of most of the lines rhyme, making the
whole line seem strong and complete each time we read it. Notice how he uses the
word made twice, and rhymes with that word 4 times. This helps the reader
