Effects on the Milk Yield caused by an AMS Energy FailureIJERA Editor
Scientific experiments within the design approach “Integrated Dairy Farming – Stable 4.0” have been carried
out to investigate cattle behavior in an AMS under a power cut of limited time. Milk yield and animal welfare
were under particular focus. The results show various reactions under stress and, in particular, we observed a
decrease in milk yield, not only of individual animals but also of the whole herd.
Milk consumption in Pakistan is 159 liters per person per year, which is among the highest in developing world (FAO). The demand for milk is increasing every year. Moreover, in big cities quality of milk is becoming a primary focus of the consumers. Currently, most of the milk (app. 80-85%) comes from small scale dairy farmers (herd sizer < 30 animals), however, a significant increase in medium and large dairy herds is observed in past decade. The increasing feed and other inputs prices are putting pressure on the dairy producers and a careful assessment of the cost of milk was required. The current survey was conducted in the district Lahore with the 5 different types of producers. We hope that outcomes of this project will be useful for the institutions and private sector to design strategies that will support farmers. We are hopeful that the dairy producers and technical service providers will also find these results interesting and will use them to design there KPIs and targets to improve efficiencies.
Phytochemical and Biological Evaluation of Cassia tora, L. Seedsiosrjce
In the present study the total and the defatted alcoholic extracts of seeds of Cassia tora Linn.
(Leguminosae) were screened for hepatoprotective activity using adult Wister albino rats (120-170 g) as the
experimental animals. Hepatic injury caused by carbon tetra chloride, was analyzed through estimation of AST,
ALT, ALB and platelets in blood samples taken from the veins of orbital plexus of each animal as well as the
histopathological examination of the liver. The effects of the extracts were comparable with standardhepatoprotective drug Silymarin. On the other hand GC-MS analysis was performed on the fatty acid
composition of the lipoidal fraction for the seeds. The separated fatty acids were converted to their methyl ester
and then subjected to the analysis.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

2. QUESTION
Why animal nutrition lab is necessary
for farm animals….?
NUTRITION LAB is necessary for more
healthy, balanced productive and
economical feed formulation which
helps for increasing
productivity/output in terms of
meat, milk, wool, etc.
3. What we should feed?
Anything that can increase
productivity. In other words we
need to match the requirements
of animals from available feed
recourses.
4. What make a feed better then the
other?
It is difficult to answer. But
possible guesses could be: Due
to protein? Due to energy?
Due to minerals? Due to
vitamins?
5. How we can formulate a better productive
and economical feed?
Through proximate
analysis, which we can
perform in an animal
nutrition lab.
6. What is proximate analysis?
This refers to the determination of the major
constituents of feed and it is used to assess if
a feed is within its normal compositional
parameters or somehow been adulterated.
This method partitioned nutrients in feed in
to 6 components: Dry matter
(moisture), ash, crude protein, ether
extract, crude fiber and NFE.
7. How we can perform proximate
analysis ?
We use functional
animal nutrition lab
for this evaluation.
