Agency / Congregation Relations Manager 2008 – 2016
Unique role providing direct support to CEOs, Board Chairs and senior staff of the Uniting Church in Australia’s
(UCA) network of community service agencies across Victoria and Tasmania. Regular tasks ranged across
change management, property / finance / legal advice through event management and facilitation. Working within a
highly skilled team, planning and management for a network initially of 40 Agencies but reduced to 24 agencies
through a series of mergers co-ordinated by the unit. Role also included representing the Uniting Church at site
visits, attending AGMs, organising forums, and producing newsletters and websites. The UCVT Network had a
$232 million dollar annual turnover in 2016.
Achievements
Assumed additional responsibilities as Acting Director or Acting Assistant Director on a number of
occasions managing a team of up to 10 people and coordinating UCA responsibilities for the network.
Solved complex problems including mediating outcomes between Agencies, Congregations and
Presbyteries of the UCA as and when conflicts arose and providing higher level support, advice and
referral to specialists for agency CEOs and Boards on HR/Legal/Financial/Insurance and other
