1. Ancient Civilization Reflection
My Civilization: Ancient China
The Research Journey:
My favorite part of the research journey was taking notesbecause it kind of fun
but it hard to find the information. My best research question was “What was
their architecture like?” because I am like the great wall and I also like all of the
Ancient Chinese architecture. While doing my research, I found it difficult to find
the answer because some of the book s don’t have the right information but
some books had the answer. The most interesting thing I learned about the
structure of society was that the father was a head of the family and the most
women looked after children but poor women work on the fields. I think that the
Great Wall is an important legacy of ancient China because they used Great wall
to protect their dynasties.
Report Writing:
I am proud of my report because it had great pictures and great writing. While
writing the report, I became better at writing and thinking. If I wrote it again, I
would improve my report by typing good words.
Archeology Presentation:
I enjoyed making my artifacts because when I used the clay it was fun. I found it
difficult to made the Ancient Chinese coin because it hard to made the hole in the
coin.I am most proud of my Chinese coin artifact because it look cool inside and
it look like a real coin. I enjoyedthe archeology presentation because it was
important to me to show off my learning.I found it difficult to remember the
palm cards. While preparing for this presentation, I became better at
remembering notes from my palm cards.
What else?
During this unit I especially enjoyed to make some artifacts of my chosen
civilization.I took extra time to write the report of my civilization and include
details. After this unit, I might continue to practice speaking from palm cards and
making the report more interesting.
