UniShare is a collaboration between the UCD Library, Registry, and other support units to gather and share student data and queries. It was developed within UCD's data systems to link queries to student records. The Student Desk and Library collaborated closely in developing UniShare, starting with a pilot in the Health Sciences Library to share information between the two units. Future developments of UniShare are mentioned.

As museums continue to expand their digitization efforts, many now include a focus on how to understand and improve the impact of access to these previously inaccessible resources. How are different audiences using these collections? How are they impacting the work of scholars, educators, students, and enthusiasts? This paper addresses the potential impact of access to these resources on students through an analysis of an ongoing research and evaluation effort at the Smithsonian. Beginning in 2013, and more intensively throughout 2016, the Smithsonian Center for Learning and Digital Access has explored the potential educational impact of access to its nearly two million digitized museum, library, and archival resources. Their efforts are designed to meet the online needs of this target group via a platform called the Smithsonian Learning Lab, a new Web-based platform (launched in June of 2016) for the discovery and creation of personalized learning experiences. The case study project conducted research with students to make the Learning Lab as useful to them as it has been designed to be for educators. The methodology included student observations and interviews; a literature review focused on online learning and the use of digital materials; environmental scans designed to understand the features of popular online learning systems and social media platforms popular with students; and finally, prototyping with this group in the classroom. The project uncovered some specific approaches to guide the adaptation of the Learning Lab to better meet the needs of students, including approaches that could lead to the development of best practices for enabling educational and personal use of museum digital content by students.

This study investigated the information seeking behavior of 75 faculty members and 50 students at Great Lakes Institute of Management regarding their use of electronic information resources. The key findings were:
- 100% of faculty and students were aware of available electronic resources like e-journals, databases, e-books, etc.
- 72% of faculty and 54% of students had a high level of knowledge about electronic resources.
- 40% of faculty and 26% of students accessed electronic resources daily for information retrieval.
- Both open and subscribed resources were preferred by 50.6% of faculty and 66% of students.

Data science (DS) poses key organizational challenges for academic institutions. DS is a multidisciplinary field that includes a range of research methodologies and fields of inquiry. DS as a domain is interested in many of the same issues as libraries: data access and curation, reproducibility, the value of ontologies, and open scholarship. At the same time, identifying opportunities to collaborate and deploy unified services can be challenging. The Data Science Environment (DSE) program, co-funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore and Alfred P. Sloan foundations, provides resources to help universities develop collaborations between researchers, develop tools in DS, and create new career paths for data scientists. Working groups within the DSE focus on reproducibility, career paths, education/training, research methods, space issues, and software/tools. This program has introduced new opportunities for libraries to explore how to engage with this community and consider how to bring the expertise in the DS community to bear on library missions and goals. In this panel, program members from each of the three partner universities, the University of Washington, New York University and the University of California, Berkeley, consider the research questions of the DSE and the organizational impact of these groups in the University as a whole and for the libraries specifically. The panel will employ a case-study presentation model framed through three lenses: the role of data sciences in information science, the
potential career paths for data scientists in libraries, and the potential
amplification of information services (e.g. data curation, institutional repositories, scholarly publishing).

Data science (DS) poses key organizational challenges for academic institutions. DS is a multidisciplinary field that includes a range of research methodologies and fields of inquiry. DS as a domain is interested in many of the same issues as libraries: data access and curation, reproducibility, the value of ontologies, and open scholarship. At the same time, identifying opportunities to collaborate and deploy unified services can be challenging. The Data Science Environment (DSE) program, co-funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore and Alfred P. Sloan foundations, provides resources to help universities develop collaborations between researchers, develop tools in DS, and create new career paths for data scientists. Working groups within the DSE focus on reproducibility, career paths, education/training, research methods, space issues, and software/tools. This program has introduced new opportunities for libraries to explore how to engage with this community and consider how to bring the expertise in the DS community to bear on library missions and goals. In this panel, program members from each of the three partner universities, the University of Washington, New York University and the University of California, Berkeley, consider the research questions of the DSE and the organizational impact of these groups in the University as a whole and for the libraries specifically. The panel will employ a case-study presentation model framed through three lenses: the role of data sciences in information science, the
potential career paths for data scientists in libraries, and the potential
amplification of information services (e.g. data curation, institutional repositories, scholarly publishing).

Information Technology is driving transformative pedagogy in both lower and higher education institutions. This paper discusses internet usage patterns among university academics before advancing to explore how to improve these aspects in the context of education. This descriptive survey collected data from a random sample of 440 university academics in Zimbabwe. Academics use the internet for research more than they did for teaching purposes. Statistical analysis of data revealed gender differences in internet access. Age and experience were found to explain differences in usage among university academics. Educational implications of these findings in relation to advancing development of 21st century skills through Information Technology in tomorrow’s leadership and drivers of country’s economic growth were highlighted. The study recommends a transformation of university teaching practice through technology based holistic models that encompass creative and innovative Webogogy and facilitative content delivery for better performance in higher educational institutions. The paper advocates for university management to promote Technology based teaching practice in universities, fund and develop formal training programmes to upgrade internet search and webagogy skills of academics.

Learning analytics is defined as measuring, collecting, analyzing, and reporting data about learners and contexts to understand and optimize learning. International activities in learning analytics include conferences, workshops, and publications. Trends from the 2014 Learning Analytics Summer Institute included a focus on privacy, ethics, readiness, technology, research issues, and new contexts like MOOCs.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
