Writing an essay on the topic "Analytical Essay Example Outline" can be a challenging task that
requires careful thought and organization. Crafting an effective outline involves not only
understanding the nuances of analytical writing but also the ability to structure your thoughts in
a logical and coherent manner.
Firstly, you need to have a clear understanding of the analytical essay genre. This involves the
ability to critically analyze a subject, break it down into its essential components, and evaluate
its various aspects. It requires a keen sense of observation and the skill to present your analysis in

In addition to research, constructing a compelling thesis statement is a critical step. Your thesis
should encapsulate the main argument of your essay and guide the reader through your
analytical exploration. Formulating a strong thesis often involves multiple revisions and a
nuanced understanding of your topic.
The writing process itself requires precision. Analytical essays necessitate clarity and coherence
in presenting your thoughts. You must carefully select your words, ensure a smooth flow of

Bowling For Columbine Language Analysis

Language and mass communication
Michael Moore July 2nd, 2016
In 2002, with the release of *Bowling for Columbine*, I hoped to challenge the
irreplaceable position of the gun in the heart of the American spirit. It devastates and
unsettles me, that more than a decade later, as a civilised society, we are no better
than we were at the beginning of the century. We are stuck in a perpetual mutiny
against guns, one that led and will lead to nothing but exponential escalation of
violence and unamiable phony politics.
*Denim on Denim* has long since been a topic of history, except perhaps on special
occasions of hippie parties. Yet I could have written a column regarding gunviolence

effectively paved his way for the proposal of armed security.
Throughout the response, LaPierre spoke with a commanding tone: I call on congress
today to act immediately. To which destroys any hope for gun control or restriction of
firearms.
Possibly the most outrageous statement in the response is: The only thing that stops
a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. This turns a blind on to the more
diverse cast of character. What about the angry guy or the sneaky guy . To demarcate
the two is a complication, not a solution.
Plainly, LaPierre s words were nothing more than negative propaganda to serve as
scapegoats of his and the NRA s incompetence in dealing with the exponentially
increasing gun related crimes in America. His statement preys on the hatred and fear
of Americans. Consequently, has negative effects of driving the American
communities further apart and rooting mistrust and terror in the heart of the country.
Over the course of the hour, LaPierre spoke of no criticism or what so ever for the
NRA, being the arrogant, selfish and rotten men they
What Are The Arguments Against The Road To

The road to confederation was the making of Canada it was the joining of Canadian
colonies. The British colonies wanted to make one large British North America.
Many people were with the idea and many people were against it this essay will
discuss why people were against it. The threat of american expansion into canada
happened because the Americans were against the confederation of 1867.
Documents 1, 7 will be used as evidence to support the idea of how people were
against the confederation.
The Americans believed in the manifest density, which meant that they were destined
to expand so that all of america was under their rule. The northern and southern states

There were then Fenian Raids, when a group of Irish Americans led a series of
attacks on the colonies in protest of Britain s rule of Ireland. This scared the
maritimes into uniting with the other colonies. On the west Americans were
threatening to take British Columbia with a rallying cry of 54 40 or fight . It was
clear that the americans were ready to take over all of north america. In document one
William Seward US Secretary of State says I know that God intends that this whole
continent shall be sooner or later, within the magic circle of the United States of
America . You can see that here the main idea was to take all the of North america
under the stars and stripes. In document seven George Etienne Cartier says We have
five colonies and in order to become a great nation, they need only to be brought
together under one central Government. The matter comes down to this, whether we
form a British American confederation or we will be absorbed into the United
States of America. Shall we be content to remain separate colonies, to maintain a
mere provincial existence, whe, by combining together we could become a great
nation It has never before been the good fortune of any group of colonies to secure

Jane Austen was born in December 16, 1775 in Steventon, Hampshire, England.
Jane was the seventh of eight children and the second of two girls. Growing up
Jane and her older sister, Cassandra attended Abby s boarding school, their only
education outside of their family.( ) As a result, she became ever fascinated by a
world of stories, Jane began to write in bound notebooks ( Jane AustenBiography ).
Austen s notebooks were filled with poems and stories that she would soon use in the
fast approaching future. Many of her most famous stories are Emma, Pride and
Prejudice, Mansfield Park, and Sense and Sensibility. Within the stories such as in
Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen satirizes values and functioning of the British
Society in several ways through her characters. Firstly, she attacks the numerous
social limitations put on women and their views on marriage resulting because of
these restrictions during that time ( enotes ). Jane Austen often used her writings
to depict her viewpoint of the British Social Class System. British Class System is
a system in which a person belongs to the upper, middle or lower class and is
judged based on where they stand. It often causes them to stay within their class
and if one goes above their rank it may be frowned upon. Mansfield Park written in

Nonverbal Communication in Politics
Nonverbal Communication in Politics
The 2012 presidential election finally reached its conclusion late Tuesday night on
November 6th, as the incumbent Barack Obama won a second term in the White
House over the challenger Mitt Romney. The election, with its reputation as the most
expensive presidential race in history, attracted wide attentions not only from the
United States but also from many other countries around the globe (Confessore
McGinty, 2012). The election was also noted with a numerous number of debates
and discussions in both online and offline about the two candidates policies and
pledges on every level. However, while a lot of attention was paid to the candidates
verbally expressed speeches and pledges, the candidates ... Show more content on

Physical Appearance
The first form of nonverbal communication that plays a significant role in
influencing the voting behavior is the physical appearance of candidates. The
analytical study by Olivola and Todorov (2010) states that today s politics have
become so extremely intricate and incomprehensible that it is almost impossible
for voters to genuinely agree to every aspect of the candidates views. For instance,
it is highly conceivable for voters to agree on international and security issues with
one candidate and agree on economic issues with the other candidate at the same
time. Hence, the number of the voters who are unfamiliar with the intricacies of
political issues and unmotivated to study candidates policy as a criterion for
making their choice has increased (Olivola Todorov, 2010). In addition, according
to Olivola and Todorov (2010), the field of cognitive psychology indicates that
people s minds tend to simplify decision making process by relying on simple rules
when they are confronted with too much information. As a result, instead of behaving
as rational actors and voting reasonably as they are believed to do so, voters are
hugely influenced by and unconsciously opt for irrelevant cues, which in this case,
the candidates physical appearance.
Furthermore, Olivola and Todorov (2010) state that voters actually infer politicians
personality traits and form impressions on politicians based on their physical
appearance
How Dr. Joseph Bell Could Detect Patients With Facts...
I find it very unique how Dr. Joseph Bell could detect patients with facts without
asking questions. Going off of what Conan Doyle was noting during his clerked
experience with Dr. Bell. If want to observe others we must first know and find out
who we are as a person. One should want to know how their character appears to
others, but in order for a person to do that they must observe thierselves first. Taking
the assessment can prove if a person is either a innie (meaning if they are internally
oriented) or outtie (meaning externally oriented) based on the twenty questions given.
It goes off of three numbers that you answerto the question. 0 meaning if it not true
to you, 1 meaning if it is sometimes or sort of true, and 2 meaning that its defintely
true. Question number one states if I am: alert to the enviornment around me. My
answer is two because I am most defintely alert to the enviornment around me.
Question two: I am aware of my preferences for furnishing a room. My answer is two
because I know what my preferences are for furnishing a room. Question three: I
am good at following directions to specific places. I would say that I would be a one
on that simply because if a person would tell me direction to a specific place I
could follow there route, but if I know a faster route I will take it. Question four: I
am generally not curious about the contents of a sealed envelope. That is not true of
me because I would like to know what is in this sealed envelope especially
Rolling Stones History
The Rolling Stones Two young men in their mid twenties named Mick Jagger and
Keith Richards met at a station and immediately became friends again after going to
college together and started a rock band that is now known worldwide and is named
The Rolling Stones. The Rolling Stones was formed in 1962. Mick Jagger and Keith

while Keith Richards played guitar and now currently plays piano. The other

Jones played guitar for them in 1962 1969. Brian Jones was found dead in his
swimming pool and when found he still had drugs and alcohol in his body. The
original band members were Brian Jones(guitar, harmonica), Ian Stewart (piano),
Mick Jagger (lead vocals, harmonica), Keith Richards (guitar), Bill Wyman (bass),
and Charlie Watts (drums).

A Comparison Of Saladin And Richard The Lionheart
Why is Saladin and Richard the Lionheart Still remembered after thousands of years?
Saladin and Richard the Lionheart have fought in many ferocious and important
battles. Winning those battles needed quick thinking and cunning battle strategies.
Both leaders were well respected by their men, the trust they had in them led to many
great victories. But why are they still remembered? Many have asked the same
question but it s down to one clear factor. When every muslim leader was reluctant to
reconquer Jerusalem Saladin was the only person who stepped up. Richard s
Discipline and his cunning tactics is why he is still remembered till this day. Both
leaders had an enormous and important effect on the present time.
Richard The Lionheart was born on September 8, 1157 at Beaumont Palace, Oxford.
He gained his infamous nickname Richard the Lionheart through his experience of
leading rebels in Poitou in 1170s against his father, Henry II. During the third crusades
he won in the battles of Cyprus, Acre and Arusf against Saladin. Richard the
lionheart was famous for his fighting ability and fought in many key battles during
the Crusades. The battle of Arsuf for example is where he displayed his brilliant war
tactics and the brutal force of his army. After executing the saracens of Acre the
crusader army led by Richard travel south to capture the logistically vital port of
Jaffa. By capturing Jaffa it would give the crusaders an intended launching pad to
reclaim Jerusalem. Saladin
The Plea Bargain Is A Vital Part Of The Criminal Justice...
The plea bargain is a vital part of the criminal justice system today. Before the
1800s when an offender was caught there would be a trial and verdict. The plea
bargain are for defendant s to plead guilty to a lesser offense or to at least one
charge especially if there are multiple indictments. Defendants will plead guilty in
hopes of leniency, and at least 90 percent of criminal cases end in a pleabargains. A
majority of criminal cases in many jurisdictions will end in a plea bargaining. In the
case North Carolina v. Alford, Mr. Alford is accused of Capital murder. The penalty
for a guilty plea is imprisonment for life, however, if the defendant pleads innocent
and the juryrules him guilty the death penalty attaches. Prior to the trial, Mr. Alford
accepted a plea bargain. The bargaining requires him to plead guilty to murder in the
second degree, the penalty of which is 30 years.
Later on Alford does appeals his case, stating that his agreement to the bargain was
involuntary as it was driven by fear of the death penalty. Mr. Alford s conviction
was overturned however, the Supreme Court states that a guilty plea is a voluntary
decision and is not compelled within his Fifth Amendment rights of Self
Incrimination. In a 6 to 3 decision, the Court then reverses the appeal and reinstates
his conviction. This is a great example of how the option of plea bargaining
continues to be controversial. This case shows how plea bargaining can work both in
favor and negatively
The Pros And Cons Of The Due Process Clause
Mentioned in the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of our constitution, the Due
Process Clause states individuals cannot be deprived of life, liberty, or property
without appropriate legal procedures and safeguards. Due process itself can be
classified into two main types; substantive and procedural. Procedural due process
deals with equal and fair protection of individuals under the law, while substantive
due process deals with government regulation of personal freedoms and liberties.
Due to the controversial nature of substantive due process, it has found its way into
many sensitive cases, such as abortion and gay marriage. Often times in such cases,
liberty , such as the liberty to have an abortion, is cited as the main protection
enabled by the Due Process Clause. Critics argue that such freedoms are not
guaranteed by the constitution or the Fifth or Fourteenth amendments, but I disagree.
The liberties given by the Due Process Clause are broad, but constitutionally
applicable to a range of social differences and conflicts faced by our country today.
Cornell Law provides a substantial amount of raw information on the Due Process
Clause, covering topics ranging from its meaning in the nineteenth century to court
cases that interpret its definition today. The source mentions small details about due
process, such as influential procedures that the clause almost always follows, and
when due process applies to freedoms and liberties. However, the next two sources
describe the amendments which incorporate due process. Dr. Chapman and Dr.
Yoshino present the Fourteenth Amendment as a primary source, citing word for
word each of its five sections to include the Due Process Clause. The two then go
into detail describing the topics Substantive Due Process , Procedural Due Process ,
and Incorporation of the Bill of Rights Against the States , citing examples of when
the Due Process Clause was used throughout history. Mr. Ryan not only a provides a
primary source of the Fifth Amendment, one of the only two amendments that
mention due process, but goes in depth on the topics of grand juries, double jeopardy,
the Just Compensation Clause and self incrimination, distinguishing them from the
due process clause. He

Trifles By Susan Glaspell Essay
The relation of the title of the play Trifles to the play is subtle but present.
According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, the word trifle means something of
little value, substance, or importance . Near the beginning of the play, Hale says
Well, women are used to worrying over trifles. (Glaspell 258). This is the only time
trifles is used in the play. However, the way the characters act and speak amongst
each other reveals the true meaning of the title. The men disrespect the women
multiple times in the story. The sheriff and court attorney make comments that are
obviously meant to be sexist toward the women such as Well, you can beat the
women! Held for murder and still worryin about her preserves and Ah, loyal to your
sex, I see. (Glaspell 258). The men treat the women as trifles and disregard them for a
majority of the play. After making all those comments about women, they chose to
investigate upstairs rather than the kitchen. That s where the... Show more content on

They are blinded by their sexism which prevents them from looking in the one
place where they could ve found a sufficient amount of evidence against Mrs.
Wright. As the women look around downstairs, they realize more and more things
about Mrs. Wright and begin to feel kind of bad for her. Mrs. Peters shows this by
saying Somehow we just don t see how it is with other folks until something comes
up. (Glaspell 263). What she means by this is that one never knows what s truly
happening in someone s life until that person needs to know or is allowed to know.
The women in the play end up finding a dead canary and hiding it from the men to
protect Mrs. Wright. They notice that the canary was killed by breaking its neck,
similar to the way Mr. Wright was killed. This presumably shows the main motive
behind Mr. Wright s death. He killed the one thing that made Mrs. Wright feel like
she had someone even when she was all alone. That is was leads them to hide
Unit 2 Health Care Accreditation
Both accreditation and legal mandates follow different processes. I will review the
differences between the two and the process they follow. I will also discuss what is
measured in quality outcomes. And I will talk about how this affects health care
administrators as far as the demands they have to meet.
When we think about the accreditation process, we think about the Joint Commission
( The Joint Commission ). The purpose of the Joint Commission is to constantly
progress the health care for the community by means of assessing health care
instituting while and motivating those institutions to outrival in making available
secure and effectual care that is superior and has significance ( The Joint Commission

They need to know the fundamental lawful and moral doctrines that will manipulate

employment related legislation, safety in the workplace, the legal relationship
between the provider and the patient (Niles, 2014, p. 285). Accreditation and Legal
process put much demand on the health care administrator because the health care
administrator needs to understand the translate law; criminal and civil and what it
means in the workplace (Niles, 2014). When making decisions the health care
administrator needs to work in compliance with mandates or else any violation could
result in a lawsuit or loss of accreditation (Niles, 2014). When it comes to the Joint

INTRODUCTION Human rights are almost a form of religion in today s world. They
are the great ethical yardstick that is used to measure a government s treatment of its
people. A broad consensus has emerged in the twentieth century on rhetoric that
frames judgment of nations against an international moral code prescribing certain
benefits and treatment for all humans simply because they are human. Within many
nations political debates rage over the denial or abuse of human rights. Even in

It is important also to note that one may benefit from another s duty, without having a
right to that benefit. Christians may believe that they have a duty to give money to
charity, but that does not mean that charities have a right to Christians money. These
different notions of `right are important to bear in mind when discussing human
rights. The most common interpretation given to the `right in human rights is that of
claim rights. There is a defined benefit to which individuals are entitled, and there is a
correlative duty on others in relation to that benefit. This tendency may be partly due
to the increasing codification of human rights into legal documents. It is far more
efficacious if human rights are conceived of as claim rights, because those who are
deprived of their rights may argue that others (usually their government) must be
compelled to fulfill a duty to provide the benefit. Since much human rights activism
centres on the respect for rights contained in international agreements, it is natural for
attention to centre on governments as duty holders since they are the entities directly
bound by the human rights documents. If human rights are claim rights with a
correlative duty on some body to provide or safeguard the benefit, however, a major
problem arises in identifying that duty holder. Most often it is assumed that if an
individual is being denied some human right, the duty falls on their government to
rectify the situation. A serious
The End Of The Medieval Period Essay
There are many factors that led to the end of the medieval period and brought about
the emergence of the Renaissance period, otherwise known as, the age of rebirth.
Some of these factors would have a devastating impact on Europe, which we can
still see to this very day. During the Medieval period, the feudal aristocracy and the
Catholic Church emerged as the dominant political forces and were instrumental in
imposing social and economic order on the people. Peasants were organized within
the manorial system as serfs; the guild system dominated economic life and imposed
its own wage, price, and production controls in the system. In religious life, the
church reached its height of power and influence, not only the spiritual, but also the
secular life of Europe. Europeans were feeling bold to launch an expansion of
Western Christendom and sometime between the 11th and 13th centuries, this took
place in the form of the Crusades in the Baltic border lands. However, the 14th
century would be an era of multiple crises that would weaken and even destroy many
of the medieval institutions of Europe that seemed the most durable, and in their
place, pave the way for the development of modern Europe which we all see today.
During the 11th and 13th centuries, Europe, organized strict feudal lines, finally
experiencing the social and political organization necessary for successful agriculture
and sufficient crop production. Since much of Europe had been forest and unsettled
land after

Tone Of One Perfect Rose
At first glance the poem One Perfect Rose may seem like a poem about love and
romance, but further analysis shows the opposite. The first two stanzas of the poem
can be misleading, as they lead one to believe that it s a romantic moment to a past
memory. However, with the poems sudden change in tone, the third stanza takes on
more of a cynical view. You hear the dissatisfaction in the speaker s tone, as she
wants more. The title conveys irony, as it shows that the roseis anything but perfect.
In a way the poem seems to describe Parkers feelings about life, even though she
had a lot going for her she just wasn t satisfied. Because of the shift in tone, the
poems entire meaning goes from sweet to a bitter recount. The first opening line of...

She wants more than a rose, when she states. Why is it no one ever sent me yet one
perfect limousine do you suppose? The word limousine implies that she maybe
materialistic. Upon this, as the reader, one has to understand the context in which
the poem was written in. It was written in 1937 when the Great Depression
occurred. Because Parker faced many financial uncertainties, all she really wanted
was to be sure she was financially stable. The phrase one perfect rose is repeated
throughout stanza 1 and stanza 2, thus making it a refrain. On the other hand, the
mocking repetition of one perfect indicates the underlining attitude of the speaker
in the last stanza. Suddenly the phrase one perfect rose becomes disrupted when
the speaker desires one perfect limousine. Moreover, the tone suddenly changes
when she states, do you suppose? . The question is implied to the reader as the
poem takes on more of a conversational tone. The poem suddenly takes on more of a
sarcastic tone, as a lot of Dorothy Parkers poem are really known for. They are
known for their witty remarks and irony. Line 11 and 12 states, Ah no, it s always just
my luck to get one perfect rose. The fact that she states ah no signifies
disappointment, but it also becomes more conversational instead of formal. In line 11
the word, just my luck actually means that something unfortunate

The special power of this network antioxidants is that they have an ability to
regenerate one another after they played their roles in body functions. For example, if
one of the antioxidants changes because of oxidation process after it fought the body
enemy particle, the other network antioxidant can help the first one and turn it back
into an antioxidants that are ready to fight again. The five antioxidants that form the
network are Lipoic acid, Vitamin E, Vitain C, Coenzyme Q10, and Glutathione. Even
though these antioxidants work perfectly together, each has his unique functions in
the human body alone. For example, Lipoic acid is the most powerful antioxidant in
the antioxidant network, because it can regenerate three out of four other network
members their change during oxidation processes. It can be used effectively to treat
diabetes and significantly protect bodies against stroke.
The natural level of vitamin E in our bodies is very low, so it must be obtained from
outer sources. Vitamin E protects lipoproteins from oxidation, which is the first step
toward formation of atherosclerosis and heart diseases. It also reduces the risk of
prostate cancer and fights against of progression of Alzheimer s disease. Our bodies
don t produce Vitamin C, which is believed to be essential for our immune system.
Numerous studies prove that Coenzyme Q10 is a very effective to threat diseases
associated with the human heart, such as high blood pressure, congestive heart
Short Story Vs The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty
A short story is a story with a fully developed theme but significantly shorter and
less elaborate than a novel. In the first semester of school we focused on reading
shrot stories and learning about many literary elements.Short stories can have many
pros and cons. A con is Short stories don t have as much detail towards them and
sometimes are all over the place like for example The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

Orientation Questionnaire For Sports Psychology
I recently took a Work Orientation Questionnaire for Sport Psychology. I scored
highest on the work orientation, but I decided to research and talk about mastery
orientation. Even though mastery orientation was the lowest score of the three, I
feel like I can relate a little bit more by viewing the questions being asked within
the Questionnaire. Readers, I am not disagreeing with the results of the quiz;
however, I am expanding on an area that personally fits me better. This is for
people who are focused on developing and progressing skills, but also for gaining
additional knowledge. If readers are looking for a more descripted definition, it s
best defined as using the goal of learning and mastering the task according to
standards set by you. Students find approval with the workand are not conflicted by
external factors. These students also tend to participate in work or activities that
increase their learning, which involves more attention, collecting information at a
higher level, and are open to asking questions.
I plan on being a basketball coach at the junior high or high school level. I want to
talk to the readers about mastery orientation within sport performance. Most players,
regardless of sport, are ego orientated people due to the theme of winning or
success. Before I continue, I am not suggesting that I prefer all my players to be just
mastery oriented. I believe a positive ego oriented athlete can reflect positively and
help with the mastery oriented part.
Thriving Generations Of The House Of Medici
The Impact of the Thriving Generations of the House of Medici The Renaissance
was an essential time period in European history, which occurred roughly between
1300 and 1600 in Florence, Italy. During this epoch, attributes of the Renaissance,
such as Classical humanism and an upbringing of political life spread throughout
Western Europe. Moreover, out of the 50,000 people in Florence, around 100 families
have influenced the Renaissance s attributes; the most notable of these being the
Medici family (Fiero 377 378). Beginning with Giovanni di Bicci de Medici s
establishment of the Medici Bank, the family acquired a significant amount of
wealth, rising their power during the fourteenth century. The bank expanded to the
farthest corners of Europe, in which they obtained political control over Florence and
the Church. Apart from the political influence, out of the four generations of the
House of Medici, Cosimo, or Cosimo the Elder, and Lorenzo, or Lorenzo the
Magnificent, have influenced the components of Classical humanism, consisting of
art, architecture, and literature. Due to their gain of wealth from the hands of
Giovanni di Bicci de Medici, the family was appointed succession over Florence,
allowing them to contribute to the rise of humanism and political ideals across
Europe. Because Giovanni di Bicci de Medici s establishment of the Medici Bank
has provided wealth under the Medici family name, the family was able to take over
the reign of Florence. The Medici

Why I Want To Study Gut Microbiology
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE The emergence of new pathogens from food and water,
particularly bacteria, as well as the recurrence of known food pathogens, has received
research attention in Nutrition and Food Science. The unusual dietary pattern and
nutrition affect the microbial population in the human gut (Probiotic), with an ample
effect on the immune system and human health. To understand the interactions of gut
microflora with food and nutrients, and their potential involvement in disease
etiology and human health, novel approaches tailored from various disciplines are
required. The additional concern is the growing number of children who are

Reduction of Diarrheal Diseases in Under-Five Children in...
Introduction
The World Health Organization (WHO) describes diarrheal disease as the second
leading cause of mortality in children under five years old, accounting for around
760000 deaths of children every year (Lweendo, 2010). Diarrhea is usually
transmitted through the faecal oral route. From the public health perspectives,
contact with human excreta due to improper faecal disposal, poor hygiene in terms of
hand washing to mention a few are the most potential risk factors. It has been
documented that diarrhea causes of malnutrition in children under five years.

As it has been earlier pointed out, majority of people lives in slums. This situation
poses a challenge of attaining Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) of halving by
2015 the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water and
basic sanitation.
Epidemiologically, diarrhea diseases are associated with poor hygiene in terms of
hand washing (Lweendo, 2010). For example, the Cross sectional study that was
conducted among the Lagos community revealed that only 46% washed their hands
before eating. In the same study it was revealed that 3.6% washed their hands after
cleaning a defecated child and 0.3% after cleaning running nose (International Journal
of Infection Control 2013).
Poverty influences the state of hygiene and sanitation and vice versa (Lweendo,
2010). In Lagos alone, it is reported that children who lives in poorest
socioeconomic strata have lower health indicators as compared to those from
wealthiest. For example, mortality rate among children under five from the urban
settings is 85/1000 while mortality rate in rural settings where socioeconomic is low
is 219/1000 live births (Senbanjo, Olayiwola et al. 2013). Overcrowding, unhygienic
conditions, low income households and families are conditions that make children
more vulnerable to disease many diseases such as diarrhea.

Albert Einstein And The Atomic Bomb
In the afternoon of August 6, 1945, the city of Hiroshima no longer resembled the
bustling urban area it was just a few short hours before. At a quarter after eight in
the morning, an atomic bomb fell from the sky. A bomb small enough to carry on a
plane was powerful enough to destroy five square miles of city (ВЁManhattan Project
ВЁ par. 10). John Hersey writes in Hiroshima about what a priest saw just after the
bomb exploded two miles away from him. A priest saw clouds of smoke rising
from fires that started after the explosion (Hersey 18). Creating the atomic bomb
which caused so much destruction was a process which involved many people.
Leo Szilard, Albert Einstein, and Julius Oppenheimer were men whose work
brought the beginning to the project. Every good idea needs a kick to it,
something that stands out for people to notice and look deeper. That kick was
Albert Einstein, who was important to the science of atoms before the Manhattan
project began (ВЁMainwoodВЁ par.1). His knowledge of atoms were key to how
the atomic bomb works only up to a certain point before he couldn t do anything
else. Despite his area of study, Einstein was not an atomic scientist
(ВЁMainwoodВЁ par. 2). He was not involved with the Manhattan project at all, he
never worked a day with Szilard or Oppenheimer, their area of science was different
than his. The thing that he did most important for the Manhattan project was signing
a piece of paper prompting the need for atomic weapons to be used in
Exploring The Controversy Of Bitch
Exploring the Controversy: Bitch Words that we utilize in our everyday
vocabulary have irrevocably over the years altered in their meanings. The
etymology of the word bitch is a prime example of a word that has become difficult
to categorize into a single definition. The word itself has been adapted, reinvented,
and created into a form of endearment (akin to best friends). One can be called a bad
bitchor a basic bitch, even a ratchet bitch has become socially acceptable. Being
called a bitch not too long ago was immediately perceived as an insult, but being a
bitch can signify independency and strength. Going back to when bitch was
equivalent to a female dog, the shift in the meaning of the word can be traced to our
own cultural guidelines. The implications and intricacies of bitch have evolved,
and it s no longer clear what the word indicates anymore. To explore the term bitch
and its alternative uses, we d have to go back to the basics. Before we had Free the
nipple movement and the song Girls who run the world by BeyoncГ© females
held no societal status in America. It was men; indeed, who were superior and who
also established the definition for bitch. A bitch in the 1500 s referred to your
common house pet, a female dog. Not long after the Oxford English Dictionary
declared it s meaning, Geoffrey Hughes coined the idea that female dogs were an
allusion to the promiscuity and sexuality of females because female dogs have heaps
of puppies. This reproach

considered the kick taker, the distance of the kick being taken, the result of the take

Berry mentioned in his study that the NFL presently only rank the kick takers by
their successful percentage of kicks taken rather than an overall measure of their
kicking performance which should include the distance of the kick. If we look at the
parameters included and the parameters excluded there is a potential difference to the
accuracy measurement of Berry s goal kicking model. He himself stated that he

For example, results from a study set out by Csatalijay et al., (2011) revealed that in

International Relations And American Foreign Policy
International Relations and American Foreign Policy are both strong qualities that
help define America as a nation. Not only that, but a strong nation that has the
reputation to not be trifled with. The concept of International Relations is so much
broader than most will ever know and be aware of. It is such a vast field that almost
anything can fall under it. However, there are four main qualities of our foreign policy
and international relations that define the process, and that is statesmanship, military
and war, international economic policy, and cultural exchange. These four are the
core parts of International Relations and America s Foreign Policy.
Statesmanship is basically the ability, qualifications, and practice of managing
public affairs. The three most important qualities of statesmanship are a vision, a
moral compass, and the wisdom to execute. Aristotle believed that statesmanship
was for the betterment of the community. As the city state comes first, there
obviously needs to be a vision for the community, a moral compass to follow and
the wisdom of determining and making the execution of that plan. Statesmanship
helps lead a country to greatness. The Bible also has its own spin of statesmanship.
For example, Proverbs 21:3 says, To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable
to the Lord than sacrifice. This verse alone shows that the essence of politics is not
separated from morality. That is one reason why a moral compass is one of the most
important

Technical Analysis
Technical analysis covers both the scope of the project (what is to be done) as well
as the techniques, tools, and methodologies required (how it is to be done). Technical
analysis may cover the following areas.
High level scope definition. What does the scope of the project encompass? All
project planning must begin with scope definition. According to Fleming (2003, p.
26), scope definition should include the identification of all make or buy choices that
need to be made.
Alternatives analysis. Are there multiple ways to achieve this scope? If so, what are
the pros and cons for each alternative?
Engineering analysis. What skills, techniques, tools and/or methodologies are
required to execute this scope?
Resource Analysis
Resource analysis to support a make or buy decision may seek to answer the

Analysis Of The Book Malcolm Gladwell
When thinking of successful people you automatically think about how hard people
have worked to be successful. In the Outliers book Malcolm Gladwell argues that we
should look at the world that surrounds successful people. For instance their culture,
family, experiences, and their upbringing. Gladwell has made an interesting argument
about how people become successful. In this paper, I will be talking about how
Bradley Byrne, US Representative for Alabamabecame successful using some
information from Gladwell s arguments.
Gladwell wants to convince readers that different kinds of explanations of success
don t work, people rise from nothing. It really makes a difference where and when
people grew up. He says, it s not enough to ask ... Show more content on

He was an active member of Associated Students of the University. After completing
his undergraduate studies at Duke, Byrne went to the University of Alabama School
of Law where he received his law degree. He practiced law in Alabama for many
years.
For the majority of Byrne s adult life, he was a democrat. During his political
career, Byrne has served on the Alabama State School Board. Being a chancellor of
the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education, he served as the chief
executive officer of Alabama s two year college system. The system was full of many
problems. It needed many changes to return to the important mission of educating
students and preparing them for the workforce.
Bradley s efforts have been very successful. Working with a dedicated team, the
two year college system was restored and the ongoing effort to serve students and
the people of Alabama has been refocused to its proper goals. In his role as
Chancellor, Bradley also served as Chairman of the State Workforce Planning
Council. He oversaw all of Alabama s workforce development efforts. This gives him
an understanding of the state s ability to expand the workforce by encouraging a
business climate that creates good jobs.
In 2013 Byrne was elected to congress. In Congress, Byrne thinks of himself as an
effective legislator by successfully supporting people s local interests. Byrne has
worked really hard to support the local industry through

Analysis of Stone Soup and The Gangster as Tragic Hero
It is said that Americans are raised on certain values and all live and strive toward
the American dream. Somewhere along the way, though, lines were strewn and
those values and morals became extinct by nature. Now with misinterpreted ideals
and ideas of logical fallacies as our only reference to the normal way of living, life is
made to be more complicated and full of anxiety. In the short stories of Stone Soup
by Barbara Kingsolver and The Gangster as Tragic Hero by Robert Warshow these
non realistic values are tackled and confronted to reveal the true ideals of the
modern day world and the effects on its people. In the story Stone Soup Barbara
Kingsolver ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The circumstances in which the modern world faces are more unique and diverse
than ever before. Slavery has been abolished, women s rights have been achieved,
depressions have been conquered, wars have been fought, minorities are lawfully
considered equal, and gay and other martial freedoms are coming forth. The most
logical circumstances have always been around and known to be true through
nature. Humans are a social breed and strive for a sole companion but, none the
less, we are animals designed to survive and re populate. Our increased life
expectancy and uncontestable ability to manifest our own happiness only provides
more inconsistency when it comes to our families. We weren t meant to be
together for years and years, we were just meant to be together. Where the line is
draw is left completely up to us as the individual. As Kingslover states, If there is a
normal for humans, at all, I expect it looks like two or three Families of Dolls,
connected variously by kinship and passion, shuffled like cards and strewn over
several shoeboxes. In conclusion Barbara Kingsolver gets across that it is alright to
be different in the field of family and that all families have skeletons in the closet
may it be divorce, death, or even a gay member. It is what we do with these so
called skeletons that create our true values. So let s

  • 2. Bowling For Columbine Language Analysis Written task Language and mass communication Michael Moore July 2nd, 2016 In 2002, with the release of *Bowling for Columbine*, I hoped to challenge the irreplaceable position of the gun in the heart of the American spirit. It devastates and unsettles me, that more than a decade later, as a civilised society, we are no better than we were at the beginning of the century. We are stuck in a perpetual mutiny against guns, one that led and will lead to nothing but exponential escalation of violence and unamiable phony politics. *Denim on Denim* has long since been a topic of history, except perhaps on special occasions of hippie parties. Yet I could have written a column regarding gunviolence back in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... effectively paved his way for the proposal of armed security. Throughout the response, LaPierre spoke with a commanding tone: I call on congress today to act immediately. To which destroys any hope for gun control or restriction of firearms. Possibly the most outrageous statement in the response is: The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. This turns a blind on to the more diverse cast of character. What about the angry guy or the sneaky guy . To demarcate the two is a complication, not a solution. Plainly, LaPierre s words were nothing more than negative propaganda to serve as scapegoats of his and the NRA s incompetence in dealing with the exponentially increasing gun related crimes in America. His statement preys on the hatred and fear of Americans. Consequently, has negative effects of driving the American communities further apart and rooting mistrust and terror in the heart of the country. Over the course of the hour, LaPierre spoke of no criticism or what so ever for the NRA, being the arrogant, selfish and rotten men they
  • 3. What Are The Arguments Against The Road To Confederation Dbq The road to confederation was the making of Canada it was the joining of Canadian colonies. The British colonies wanted to make one large British North America. Many people were with the idea and many people were against it this essay will discuss why people were against it. The threat of american expansion into canada happened because the Americans were against the confederation of 1867. Documents 1, 7 will be used as evidence to support the idea of how people were against the confederation. The Americans believed in the manifest density, which meant that they were destined to expand so that all of america was under their rule. There were then Fenian Raids, when a group of Irish Americans led a series of attacks on the colonies in protest of Britain s rule of Ireland. This scared the maritimes into uniting with the other colonies. On the west Americans were threatening to take British Columbia with a rallying cry of 54 40 or fight . It was clear that the americans were ready to take over all of north america. In document one William Seward US Secretary of State says I know that God intends that this whole continent shall be sooner or later, within the magic circle of the United States of America . You can see that here the main idea was to take all the of North america under the stars and stripes. In document seven George Etienne Cartier says We have five colonies and in order to become a great nation, they need only to be brought together under one central Government. The matter comes down to this, whether we form a British American confederation or we will be absorbed into the United States of America. Shall we be content to remain separate colonies, to maintain a mere provincial existence, whe, by combining together we could become a great nation It has never before been the good fortune of any group of colonies to secure

The election, with its reputation as the most expensive presidential race in history, attracted wide attentions not only from the United States but also from many other countries around the globe (Confessore McGinty, 2012). The election was also noted with a numerous number of debates and discussions in both online and offline about the two candidates policies and pledges on every level. Physical Appearance The first form of nonverbal communication that plays a significant role in influencing the voting behavior is the physical appearance of candidates. The analytical study by Olivola and Todorov (2010) states that today s politics have become so extremely intricate and incomprehensible that it is almost impossible for voters to genuinely agree to every aspect of the candidates views. For instance, it is highly conceivable for voters to agree on international and security issues with one candidate and agree on economic issues with the other candidate at the same time. Hence, the number of the voters who are unfamiliar with the intricacies of political issues and unmotivated to study candidates policy as a criterion for making their choice has increased (Olivola Todorov, 2010). In addition, according to Olivola and Todorov (2010), the field of cognitive psychology indicates that people s minds tend to simplify decision making process by relying on simple rules when they are confronted with too much information. As a result, instead of behaving as rational actors and voting reasonably as they are believed to do so, voters are hugely influenced by and unconsciously opt for irrelevant cues, which in this case, the candidates physical appearance. Furthermore, Olivola and Todorov (2010) state that voters actually infer politicians personality traits and form impressions on politicians based on their physical appearance
  • 6. How Dr. Joseph Bell Could Detect Patients With Facts... I find it very unique how Dr. Joseph Bell could detect patients with facts without asking questions. Going off of what Conan Doyle was noting during his clerked experience with Dr. Bell. If want to observe others we must first know and find out who we are as a person. One should want to know how their character appears to others, but in order for a person to do that they must observe thierselves first. Taking the assessment can prove if a person is either a innie (meaning if they are internally oriented) or outtie (meaning externally oriented) based on the twenty questions given. It goes off of three numbers that you answerto the question. 0 meaning if it not true to you, 1 meaning if it is sometimes or sort of true, and 2 meaning that its defintely true. Question number one states if I am: alert to the enviornment around me. My answer is two because I am most defintely alert to the enviornment around me. Question two: I am aware of my preferences for furnishing a room. My answer is two because I know what my preferences are for furnishing a room. Question three: I am good at following directions to specific places. I would say that I would be a one on that simply because if a person would tell me direction to a specific place I could follow there route, but if I know a faster route I will take it. Question four: I am generally not curious about the contents of a sealed envelope. That is not true of me because I would like to know what is in this sealed envelope especially

  • 8. A Comparison Of Saladin And Richard The Lionheart Why is Saladin and Richard the Lionheart Still remembered after thousands of years? Saladin and Richard the Lionheart have fought in many ferocious and important battles. Winning those battles needed quick thinking and cunning battle strategies. Both leaders were well respected by their men, the trust they had in them led to many great victories. But why are they still remembered? Many have asked the same question but it s down to one clear factor. When every muslim leader was reluctant to reconquer Jerusalem Saladin was the only person who stepped up. Richard s Discipline and his cunning tactics is why he is still remembered till this day. Both leaders had an enormous and important effect on the present time. Richard The Lionheart was born on September 8, 1157 at Beaumont Palace, Oxford. He gained his infamous nickname Richard the Lionheart through his experience of leading rebels in Poitou in 1170s against his father, Henry II. During the third crusades he won in the battles of Cyprus, Acre and Arusf against Saladin. Richard the lionheart was famous for his fighting ability and fought in many key battles during the Crusades. The battle of Arsuf for example is where he displayed his brilliant war tactics and the brutal force of his army. After executing the saracens of Acre the crusader army led by Richard travel south to capture the logistically vital port of Jaffa. By capturing Jaffa it would give the crusaders an intended launching pad to reclaim Jerusalem. Saladin
  • 9. The Plea Bargain Is A Vital Part Of The Criminal Justice... The plea bargain is a vital part of the criminal justice system today. Before the 1800s when an offender was caught there would be a trial and verdict. The plea bargain are for defendant s to plead guilty to a lesser offense or to at least one charge especially if there are multiple indictments. Defendants will plead guilty in hopes of leniency, and at least 90 percent of criminal cases end in a pleabargains. A majority of criminal cases in many jurisdictions will end in a plea bargaining. In the case North Carolina v. Alford, Mr. Alford is accused of Capital murder. The penalty for a guilty plea is imprisonment for life, however, if the defendant pleads innocent and the juryrules him guilty the death penalty attaches. Prior to the trial, Mr. Alford accepted a plea bargain. The bargaining requires him to plead guilty to murder in the second degree, the penalty of which is 30 years. Later on Alford does appeals his case, stating that his agreement to the bargain was involuntary as it was driven by fear of the death penalty. Mr. Alford s conviction was overturned however, the Supreme Court states that a guilty plea is a voluntary decision and is not compelled within his Fifth Amendment rights of Self Incrimination. In a 6 to 3 decision, the Court then reverses the appeal and reinstates his conviction. This is a great example of how the option of plea bargaining continues to be controversial. This case shows how plea bargaining can work both in favor and negatively
  • 10. The Pros And Cons Of The Due Process Clause Mentioned in the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of our constitution, the Due Process Clause states individuals cannot be deprived of life, liberty, or property without appropriate legal procedures and safeguards. Due process itself can be classified into two main types; substantive and procedural. Procedural due process deals with equal and fair protection of individuals under the law, while substantive due process deals with government regulation of personal freedoms and liberties. Due to the controversial nature of substantive due process, it has found its way into many sensitive cases, such as abortion and gay marriage. Often times in such cases, liberty , such as the liberty to have an abortion, is cited as the main protection enabled by the Due Process Clause. Critics argue that such freedoms are not guaranteed by the constitution or the Fifth or Fourteenth amendments, but I disagree. The liberties given by the Due Process Clause are broad, but constitutionally applicable to a range of social differences and conflicts faced by our country today. Cornell Law provides a substantial amount of raw information on the Due Process Clause, covering topics ranging from its meaning in the nineteenth century to court cases that interpret its definition today. The source mentions small details about due process, such as influential procedures that the clause almost always follows, and when due process applies to freedoms and liberties. However, the next two sources describe the amendments which incorporate due process. Dr. Chapman and Dr. Yoshino present the Fourteenth Amendment as a primary source, citing word for word each of its five sections to include the Due Process Clause. The two then go into detail describing the topics Substantive Due Process , Procedural Due Process , and Incorporation of the Bill of Rights Against the States , citing examples of when the Due Process Clause was used throughout history. Mr. Ryan not only a provides a primary source of the Fifth Amendment, one of the only two amendments that mention due process, but goes in depth on the topics of grand juries, double jeopardy, the Just Compensation Clause and self incrimination, distinguishing them from the due process clause. According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, the word trifle means something of little value, substance, or importance . Near the beginning of the play, Hale says Well, women are used to worrying over trifles. (Glaspell 258). This is the only time trifles is used in the play. However, the way the characters act and speak amongst each other reveals the true meaning of the title. The men disrespect the women multiple times in the story. The sheriff and court attorney make comments that are obviously meant to be sexist toward the women such as Well, you can beat the women! Held for murder and still worryin about her preserves and Ah, loyal to your sex, I see. (Glaspell 258). The men treat the women as trifles and disregard them for a majority of the play. The women in the play end up finding a dead canary and hiding it from the men to protect Mrs. Wright. They notice that the canary was killed by breaking its neck, similar to the way Mr. Wright was killed. This presumably shows the main motive behind Mr. Wright s death. He killed the one thing that made Mrs. Wright feel like she had someone even when she was all alone. That is was leads them to hide

It is important also to note that one may benefit from another s duty, without having a right to that benefit. Christians may believe that they have a duty to give money to charity, but that does not mean that charities have a right to Christians money. These different notions of `right are important to bear in mind when discussing human rights. The most common interpretation given to the `right in human rights is that of claim rights. There is a defined benefit to which individuals are entitled, and there is a correlative duty on others in relation to that benefit. This tendency may be partly due to the increasing codification of human rights into legal documents. It is far more efficacious if human rights are conceived of as claim rights, because those who are deprived of their rights may argue that others (usually their government) must be compelled to fulfill a duty to provide the benefit. Since much human rights activism centres on the respect for rights contained in international agreements, it is natural for attention to centre on governments as duty holders since they are the entities directly bound by the human rights documents. If human rights are claim rights with a correlative duty on some body to provide or safeguard the benefit, however, a major problem arises in identifying that duty holder. Most often it is assumed that if an individual is being denied some human right, the duty falls on their government to rectify the situation. A serious
  • 16. The End Of The Medieval Period Essay There are many factors that led to the end of the medieval period and brought about the emergence of the Renaissance period, otherwise known as, the age of rebirth. Some of these factors would have a devastating impact on Europe, which we can still see to this very day. During the Medieval period, the feudal aristocracy and the Catholic Church emerged as the dominant political forces and were instrumental in imposing social and economic order on the people. Peasants were organized within the manorial system as serfs; the guild system dominated economic life and imposed its own wage, price, and production controls in the system. In religious life, the church reached its height of power and influence, not only the spiritual, but also the secular life of Europe. Europeans were feeling bold to launch an expansion of Western Christendom and sometime between the 11th and 13th centuries, this took place in the form of the Crusades in the Baltic border lands. However, the 14th century would be an era of multiple crises that would weaken and even destroy many of the medieval institutions of Europe that seemed the most durable, and in their place, pave the way for the development of modern Europe which we all see today. During the 11th and 13th centuries, Europe, organized strict feudal lines, finally experiencing the social and political organization necessary for successful agriculture and sufficient crop production. Since much of Europe had been forest and unsettled land after

The first two stanzas of the poem can be misleading, as they lead one to believe that it s a romantic moment to a past memory. However, with the poems sudden change in tone, the third stanza takes on more of a cynical view. You hear the dissatisfaction in the speaker s tone, as she wants more. Because Parker faced many financial uncertainties, all she really wanted was to be sure she was financially stable. The phrase one perfect rose is repeated throughout stanza 1 and stanza 2, thus making it a refrain. On the other hand, the mocking repetition of one perfect indicates the underlining attitude of the speaker in the last stanza. Suddenly the phrase one perfect rose becomes disrupted when the speaker desires one perfect limousine. Moreover, the tone suddenly changes when she states, do you suppose? . Thriving Generations Of The House Of Medici The Impact of the Thriving Generations of the House of Medici The Renaissance was an essential time period in European history, which occurred roughly between 1300 and 1600 in Florence, Italy. Moreover, out of the 50,000 people in Florence, around 100 families have influenced the Renaissance s attributes; the most notable of these being the Medici family (Fiero 377 378). Beginning with Giovanni di Bicci de Medici s establishment of the Medici Bank, the family acquired a significant amount of wealth, rising their power during the fourteenth century. Epidemiologically, diarrhea diseases are associated with poor hygiene in terms of hand washing (Lweendo, 2010). For example, the Cross sectional study that was conducted among the Lagos community revealed that only 46% washed their hands before eating. In the same study it was revealed that 3.6% washed their hands after cleaning a defecated child and 0.3% after cleaning running nose (International Journal of Infection Control 2013). Poverty influences the state of hygiene and sanitation and vice versa (Lweendo, 2010). In Lagos alone, it is reported that children who lives in poorest socioeconomic strata have lower health indicators as compared to those from wealthiest. For example, mortality rate among children under five from the urban settings is 85/1000 while mortality rate in rural settings where socioeconomic is low is 219/1000 live births (Senbanjo, Olayiwola et al. 2013). • 33. Albert Einstein And The Atomic Bomb In the afternoon of August 6, 1945, the city of Hiroshima no longer resembled the bustling urban area it was just a few short hours before. At a quarter after eight in the morning, an atomic bomb fell from the sky. A bomb small enough to carry on a plane was powerful enough to destroy five square miles of city (ВЁManhattan Project ВЁ par. 10). John Hersey writes in Hiroshima about what a priest saw just after the bomb exploded two miles away from him. A priest saw clouds of smoke rising from fires that started after the explosion (Hersey 18). Creating the atomic bomb which caused so much destruction was a process which involved many people. Leo Szilard, Albert Einstein, and Julius Oppenheimer were men whose work brought the beginning to the project. Every good idea needs a kick to it, something that stands out for people to notice and look deeper. That kick was Albert Einstein, who was important to the science of atoms before the Manhattan project began (ВЁMainwoodВЁ par.1). His knowledge of atoms were key to how the atomic bomb works only up to a certain point before he couldn t do anything else. Despite his area of study, Einstein was not an atomic scientist (ВЁMainwoodВЁ par. 2). He was not involved with the Manhattan project at all, he never worked a day with Szilard or Oppenheimer, their area of science was different than his. The thing that he did most important for the Manhattan project was signing a piece of paper prompting the need for atomic weapons to be used in

The etymology of the word bitch is a prime example of a word that has become difficult to categorize into a single definition. The word itself has been adapted, reinvented, and created into a form of endearment (akin to best friends). One can be called a bad bitchor a basic bitch, even a ratchet bitch has become socially acceptable. Being called a bitch not too long ago was immediately perceived as an insult, but being a bitch can signify independency and strength. Going back to when bitch was equivalent to a female dog, the shift in the meaning of the word can be traced to our own cultural guidelines. The implications and intricacies of bitch have evolved, and it s no longer clear what the word indicates anymore. To explore the term bitch and its alternative uses, we d have to go back to the basics. Before we had Free the nipple movement and the song Girls who run the world by BeyoncГ© females held no societal status in America. It was men; indeed, who were superior and who also established the definition for bitch. A bitch in the 1500 s referred to your common house pet, a female dog. Not long after the Oxford English Dictionary declared it s meaning, Geoffrey Hughes coined the idea that female dogs were an allusion to the promiscuity and sexuality of females because female dogs have heaps of puppies. He considered the kick taker, the distance of the kick being taken, the result of the take kick and the accuracy of the kick in measuring goal scoring abilities. Furthermore, Berry mentioned in his study that the NFL presently only rank the kick takers by their successful percentage of kicks taken rather than an overall measure of their kicking performance which should include the distance of the kick. If we look at the parameters included and the parameters excluded there is a potential difference to the accuracy measurement of Berry s goal kicking model. While the other factors are not relevant in this regard, they explained why winning teams outperform losing teams in a basketball match. Another study by Lopez et al., (2011) which examined only shot attempts showed that not all shots can be classified as equally difficult because of the location and conditions of the taken shot. How players can improve in this area was discussed by Miller Bartlett (1996). They stated that players should be tasked with trying shots from a number of locations on the court in order to help their shooting. • 38. International Relations And American Foreign Policy International Relations and American Foreign Policy are both strong qualities that help define America as a nation. Not only that, but a strong nation that has the reputation to not be trifled with. The concept of International Relations is so much broader than most will ever know and be aware of. It is such a vast field that almost anything can fall under it. However, there are four main qualities of our foreign policy and international relations that define the process, and that is statesmanship, military and war, international economic policy, and cultural exchange. These four are the core parts of International Relations and America s Foreign Policy. Statesmanship is basically the ability, qualifications, and practice of managing public affairs. The three most important qualities of statesmanship are a vision, a moral compass, and the wisdom to execute. Aristotle believed that statesmanship was for the betterment of the community. As the city state comes first, there obviously needs to be a vision for the community, a moral compass to follow and the wisdom of determining and making the execution of that plan. Statesmanship helps lead a country to greatness. The Bible also has its own spin of statesmanship. For example, Proverbs 21:3 says, To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. This verse alone shows that the essence of politics is not separated from morality. That is one reason why a moral compass is one of the most important
