*Draw ideas together to
outline a conclusion –
how effective is the text?

*Ensure that all parts of
the text have been
discussed.
*Remember not just to
identify a technique, but
explain why and how it
works.
*Use media terminology
– use the jargon!
*If you are unsure of
something, check it out!

Persuasive techniques
Rhetorical questions,
emotive, exclamations,
adjectives, imperative
verbs, excitement/ family
fun, facts and figures, etc.
Institution/producer
Who has created the sequence? Are they well known
and how is this significant? How do you know who
made it? Does it challenge/reinforce dominant
ideologies?
