• A font is a style, weight and size of words used
in a media text
• The font used for a media text can have a
huge impact on the audience

9. Font Choices
• Fonts can be plain, bold or italic
• They can be Serif or Sans-Serif
• Pairing fonts can be a challenge. Selecting two
or more fonts which work well is one thing -
selecting two which work together to achieve
your aims

• Colours are SYMBOLIC CODES which affect
how we feel about objects
• Certain colours have connotations to
emotions and feelings which can change the
way we feel information.
