15. Alloy Selection
 An Aluminum extrusion alloy is mixed of metal,
made from a predetermined mixture of one or more
elements together with Aluminum.
 They are added ranging from 0.05 to 7 %
 Product performance is determined by the alloy
composition

 Normally 6061 & 6063 are used for 75% application
 Alloy 6063 is used for broad range of solid and hollow profiles
 It is easily welded, has natural finish and excellent corrosion
resistant
 It is used in architecture and moderate stress application.
 Alloy 6061 has high tensile properties with good corrosion
resistance, weldability and machining characteristics.
 6061 with T6 temper has yield strength of 35000 PSI
