On the inner outside edge, isn’t very clear in the picture
but I think it is either about the album or it is legal
information. The picture is more important this contains
the same colours as the front of the album, with a faded
tint. This picture shows a lone street lamp with a white
back ground and a green and black wall, this man appeal
to the audience because of the colours used and way the
picture is displayed is very appealing and easy on the eye.
The back of the album cover is the band in a faded
group photo with their album logo at the top and
the track list in white bold font obscuring the photo
with a few of the tracks more spaced out than
others. With their company information at the
bottom. This appeals to the audience because they
get to see their band being together and messing
around but generally something that the audience
can relate to, making them smile.
All Time Low – Future Hearts
The front of the album, this is extremely important to
draw in their audience, this has the band name clear
and the album logo an eye inside a heart in a blue
circle with blue birds flying out of the circle and the
photo behind seems to be many lone street lamps, a
sort of odd city scape. This would appeal to the
audience because they may relate to this because it
isn’t mainstream and the audience isn’t classed as
mainstream more as alternative rock.
The images and layout of this is faded and
abstract which would attract the audience
because the audience aren’t your
everyday people. The font is easy on the
eyes but on the front cover stands out and
makes you look as it’s in all capitals, for
the band name at the top and the title a
little smaller at the bottom this is so
people can see the band clearly and the
audience can find them better.
The design choice makes it so the
main colours are blue, black and a
faded white this makes it easier to
find as a trademark and an album.
The back of the digipak is slightly different with
the band outside and central to the album on
the centre panel on the back staying the same
but in a different position, but still the faded
look and key colours to the setting. Blue , black
and faded cream.
There isn’t any wording or font on
the back but there is the logo but
made out so that it is faded and
the photo shows through still
containing the bird and they
continue going over the band
members heads. This appeals to
the audience because of the logo
and the band which could also act
as a nice picture if you display it.
The choice of a continuous image on the
back really brings the album together,
the house they are outside of looks both
slightly hostile with the bars but
welcoming with the colour and fade. I
think this would appeal to the audience
because it is a nice photo to look and a
good shot of the band.
The layout of the image and logo makes the
album recognisable and appealing to their
audience instead of having a loud album cover
this one represents more of the songs in it with
acoustic tracks and softer or deeper tracks
within the album so the art work and packaging
reflects this.
