This document describes the process used by the Open University Library to collect journal usage statistics and renew subscriptions through the NESLi2 consortium. Previously, statistics were manually collected from each publisher's website, which was time-consuming and error-prone. In 2012, the library began using JUSP, a centralized platform, to obtain standardized usage reports for all NESLi2 publishers. JUSP reports are then exported to Excel and analyzed to identify highly-used subscribed and non-subscribed titles to inform renewal and cancellation decisions for 2013. The new process using JUSP is more efficient and ensures consistent, reliable data for comparing journal usage across publishers.
