Providing protection against all forms of insurable risks to all customer segments; both
new and existing customers; individuals and corporate firms. It involves taking up their

product to the customers
 Plan and implement marketing and promotional activities to support the sales
process
 Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company’s core

 Implement and execute regular sales activities to generate business for the segment
 Initiate sales and marketing activities, including phone calls, e-mails, and face-to-face
meetings, designed to identify and engage prospective new customers.
 Arrange meetings with prospective clients and maintain long term client relationships
 Increase customer satisfaction and service quality as per established standards
 Selling of Insurance products to Financial Institutions such as Banks, Security firms and
Microfinance Banks
 Work with the Credit Risk team to provide insurance cover for collaterals pledged by loan
customers of Access Bank
 Work with General resource management team to ensure adequate cover for insurable
Bank assets and contracts issued to its vendors
 Providing adequate cover for vehicles financed by Access Bank Auto Loan desk required
by the customers
 Generate marine cover for Form Ms issued by Access Bank Global trade desk
 Cross selling of insurance products to Access Bank customers- Business, Corporate and
Commercial banking divisions and staff
 Ensure proper tracking of income, investigates receivables and escalates payables (claim
settlement)
 Solicit referrals from other parts of the group as well as business referrals to other business
units from customers and sales personnel.

JOB SCHEDULE: Business Development Officer/Risk Advisor (Bancassurance Sales) Providing protection against all forms of insurable risks to all customer segments; both new and existing customers; individuals and corporate firms. It involves taking up their insurable risks, paying insured’s claims thereby increasing the organization’s cash inflow via premium collection. Other functions include:  Offering risk profiling services that enhance the customer’s risk management framework and minimize incidences of occurrence  Offering Convenience and Personalized Service and products to our discerning customers  Ensuring customer value designed to engender Flexibility and Cost Optimization  Following up prompt claim settlement in order to delight our customers
  • 3. 3 Key Roles  Responsible to drive the sales and adoption of assigned Insurance products set across all verticals and regions.  Actively engage the Sales unit to facilitate sales across all verticals for the assigned product set.  Provide pricing support to the Underwriting team for pre-sales solution formulation through quality policy  Have a good understanding of customer and market dynamics.  Prospect and promote the sales of Insurance products set within the Sales organisation and the Nigerian market.  Identify new business and ways to increase revenue from the product across all accounts.  Proactively monitor and report product sales to ensure that set targets are met.  Develop relationship with Account Managers and develop revenue stream for assigned products.  Work closely with the heads of other divisions and departments to achieve the best product to the customers  Plan and implement marketing and promotional activities to support the sales process  Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company’s core values  Implement and execute regular sales activities to generate business for the segment  Initiate sales and marketing activities, including phone calls, e-mails, and face-to-face meetings, designed to identify and engage prospective new customers.  Arrange meetings with prospective clients and maintain long term client relationships  Increase customer satisfaction and service quality as per established standards  Selling of Insurance products to Financial Institutions such as Banks, Security firms and Microfinance Banks  Work with the Credit Risk team to provide insurance cover for collaterals pledged by loan customers of Access Bank  Work with General resource management team to ensure adequate cover for insurable Bank assets and contracts issued to its vendors  Providing adequate cover for vehicles financed by Access Bank Auto Loan desk required by the customers  Generate marine cover for Form Ms issued by Access Bank Global trade desk  Cross selling of insurance products to Access Bank customers- Business, Corporate and Commercial banking divisions and staff  Ensure proper tracking of income, investigates receivables and escalates payables (claim settlement)  Solicit referrals from other parts of the group as well as business referrals to other business units from customers and sales personnel.
