3. Why Asset Management for Airports?

seek solutions and make decisions that result in the best economic, service
level, and risk exposure Outcomes.
• Improve flexibility to respond to changes in the regulatory and commercial
environment. The following significant benefits have been achieved:

This indicates that additional skill sets may be required by airport
management, including:

 Reliability analysis and risk assessment.
 Maintenance management.

8. Asset Management Framework
The asset management policy sets the framework for the management of
airport infrastructure and assets. Each policy statement is endorsed and
upheld by all executive staff. The statements are intended to guide the airport
organization by specifying the minimum set of considerations and actions to
be undertaken by staff in the execution of asset management analysis and
decision making and the development of asset strategies.
