The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

MiRNAs have diverse spatial expression patterns and regulate various developmental metabolisms, stress responses and other physiological processes. The dynamic gene expression playing major roles in phenotypic differences in organisms are believed to be controlled by miRNAs. Mutations in regions of regulatory factors, such as miRNA genes or transcription factors (TF) necessitated by dynamic environmental factors or pathogen infections, have tremendous effects on structure and expression of genes. The resultant novel gene products presents potential explanations for constant evolving desirable traits that have long been bred using conventional means, biotechnology or genetic engineering. Rice grain quality, yield, disease tolerance, climate-resilience and palatability properties are not exceptional to miRN Asmutations effects. There are new insights courtesy of high-throughput sequencing and improved proteomic techniques that organisms’ complexity and adaptations are highly contributed by miRNAs containing regulatory networks. 5. The green NGO said India’s NAQI network with 39 operating
stations also compares poorly with the 1,500 stations in China.
“For the first time this century, the average particulate matter
exposure was higher for Indian citizens than that of Chinese
people.
“China’s strong measures to curb pollution have contributed to the
biggest year-on-year air quality improvement on record while in
contrast, India’s pollution levels continued a decade-long increase
to reach the highest level on record,” Greenpeace India said in a
statement.
It said as per World Health Organization (WHO), India is home to
13 out of 20 most polluted cities in the world with deteriorating air
pollution levels in the past decade, particularly in North India.
“The satellite images until 2005 showed India’s pollution, while
serious, was lot lower than eastern China’s.
6. Pollutants Sources Effects
Ozone - It is a major part of
smog.
Ozone is not created directly,
but is formed when nitrogen
oxides and volatile organic
compounds mix in sunlight.
That is why ozone is mostly
found in the summer.
Ozone can lead to more
frequent asthma attacks.
It may even lead to premature
death. It can also hurt plants
and crops.
Carbon monoxide - A gas that
comes from the burning of
fossil fuels, mostly in cars. It
cannot be seen or smelled.
Emissions are higher when car
engines are not tuned
properly, and when fuel is not
completely burned. Furnaces
and heaters in the home can
emit high concentrations of
carbon monoxide, too, if they
are not properly maintained.
Carbon monoxide makes it
hard for body parts to get the
oxygen ,they need to run
correctly. Exposure to carbon
monoxide makes people feel
dizzy ,tired and gives them
headaches.
Particulate matter - Solid or
liquid matter that is suspended
in the air.
It is formed from sources like
road dust, when fuel is burned
in automobiles and power
plants.
Particulate matter that is small
enough can enter the lungs
and cause health problems.
7. Lead - lead comes from cars in
areas where unleaded
gasoline is not used. Lead in
old pipes can also be a
source of lead in drinking
water.
High amounts of lead can be
dangerous for small children
and can lead to lower IQs and
kidney problems.
Greenhouse gases - Carbon dioxide is the most
dangerous greenhouse gas.
It comes from the burning of
fossil fuels in cars, power
plants, houses, and industry.
Others are Methane and
Nitrous Oxide
The greenhouse effect can
lead to changes in the
climate of the planet. Some of
these changes might include
more temperature extremes,
higher sea levels, changes in
forest, composition. Human
health might be affected by
diseases that are related to
temperature or by damage to
land and water.
8. The top court has asked the Centre to supply the Delhi traffic police with
proper masks. The court noted that the policemen, who stand for long hours
at traffic signals, should be supplied with masks so that their health is not
compromised.
The Supreme Court has also banned the registration of luxury SUVs and
diesel cars above 2000cc in the national capital. Diesel cars are believed to
be a major source of vehicular emissions. A bench headed by the Chief
Justice had noted that it was not fair for rich people to buy luxury cars and
thus pollute Delhi.
The top court has ordered that all taxis plying in the city must convert to
CNG from March next year. Also, commercial vehicles which are registered
before 2005 won’t be allowed to enter the national capital.
In a separate order, the NGT directed the state governments of Delhi,
Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to immediately ban the
burning of crop residue. In earlier orders, the NGT had noted that the
practice was contributing to the rising air pollution in the NCR.
9. The Delhi government has imposed an environment compensation penalty of
Rs.50,000 on 38 major projects across the city for causing dust pollution.
Officials said notices have been sent to all the projects. While a few of the
projects have replied asking for ‘reconsideration’ of the compensation fee, 26
of them are yet to file their replies.
Mobile enforcement teams are being deployed on regular basis at road
locations for prosecution of polluting vehicles and vehicles not having PUC
Certificates.
To give alternative modes of transport to people during the odd-even rule, the
government said it would add 1,000 more buses in three months. Also, 9,000
CNG contract carriages will be roped into Delhi to augment public transport.
The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has issued directions to all authorities to
strictly implement earlier orders regarding the ban on burning of waste and
fine on emission of construction dust. The bench called for an action taken
report as well as a “list of offenders” from all authorities on the next date of
hearing.
10. Air pollution has become one of the leading causes of death in India.
According to a report by WHO, New Delhi’s air has six times the levels of airborne
particulate matter than what is considered safe.
• Dhaka, Bangladesh-At 315 square miles, Dhaka is about the same size as New York
City, but with nearly twice the number of inhabitants. (And you thought NYC was
crowded). The sheer density has caused severe air pollution and waste management
problems.
• Beijing, China-Beijing is practically synonymous with pollution. In the Chinese capital,
smog masks are a ubiquitous accessory, and on particularly smoggy days, residents
can’t even see the building next to them.
• Peshavar,pakistan-With a population of 3.5 million people, Peshawar joins the list
because of the usual suspects (vehicle and industrial emissions), as well as brick kiln
emissions from the brick-making industry in the city.
• Kabwe, Zambia- Cadmium and lead Source of Pollution: Lead processing and mining
High levels of lead were first discovered in Kabwe, Zambia in 1902, but little has been
done to protect citizens since the discovery.

willing to spend much of their funding on alternative energy sources and green practices in
general.
• Bern, Switzerland-Known for its pristine natural beauty, Switzerland is one of the cleanest
countries in the world, and Bern is one of its most well preserved cities.
• Katsuyama,Japan - Japan is the smallest city included on this list, with a population of just
less than 30,000. The city puts a lot of work into keeping the surroundings clean, because it
relies on tourism for much of its income. The city sponsors several seasonal festivals which
require cleanliness to be enjoyed; therefore the city’s businesses and government leaders
put cleanliness high on the list of priorities.
• Singapore Yes of course, by imposing laws we can control people to obey the rules and
save the cleanliness of the city but do you think, is it possible to control over all 4 million
people who live in an Island to maintain the cleanliness? You may feel it almost impossible
but this city has already achieved it.Here in this tiny Island, whether or not people are
concerned about cleanliness, government over here has imposed strict rules in maintaining
city’s cleanliness.
• Calgary, Canada-Calgary is widely considered to be the cleanest city in the world, due to
its emphasis on green practices in infrastructure, energy, and waste management.

o Most of them don’t rely on heavy industry.
o They are all in developed countries. These cities, and countries,
have the resources and technologies to implement greener
practices.
o For example, in Calgary, home to a major oil and gas industry,
the city’s developers have constructed a grid-like infrastructure
that significantly cuts down traffic, built light rail transportation
systems and implemented waste stations that separate out
biodegradable and recyclable garbage. Oslo has launched buses
that run on human waste.
