2. POLICY ANALYSIS
 City has the opportunity to enter into an Interlocal
Agreement (ILA) with Bexar County for the purchase of
goods and services
 This would allow us to take advantage of pricing and agreements
the County may have with vendors
 This agreement is being considered by many suburban
cities and has been made possible by closer relations
with County government

3. POLICY ANALYSIS
The process would work in the following way: If the
city has a procurement need we would contact the
county and ask if they have a contract in place to
meet the need. Then we would simply use that
contract to generate the invoices necessary to
obtain the item. We would still need to gain
approval from our council to proceed
ILA will be approved by Bexar County at the
December 15, 2015 Commission meeting

4. FISCAL IMPACT
There is no cost to enter into this agreement.
The City would pay Bexar County an
administrative fee of 1% for each invoice used
in this program
