expectations.
To make decisions while letting go of expectations of the results can bring
much needed clarity and peace.
Suffering is due to expectations, to grasping and clinging.
It’s possible to end suffering by giving up attachments (clinging) and
expectations (grasping).
Burn away your hopes and desires and live like a guest in this world.
If we have formed expectations for friends or loved ones that they cannot live
up to, it is not their fault. We have the power to change our expectations, and,
if our expectations of others are unreasonable, we should be flexible.
