3.1 Laser
3.1.1. Structure of Laser

(10) Cover the laser casing.
D. Nd3+: YAG rod operating: Nd3+: YAG rod is the core of the laser, install and use to be extra
careful.
Nd3 +: YAG rod end faces need parallel strictly, super clean, if found contamination, you must
clean indoor first, then processed by trained professional operator.
Take out the Nd3 +: YAG rod, paper or cotton wool moistened with lens cleaning solution (ethanol
and ether mixture of 50% each), gently erase the stain.
The cause of rod damages as below
a. Cooling water flow is too small or interruption, the light energy injected into the lamp, and
cause overheating of the lamp rod, the rod burst.
b. With a hard object collision, scratch, make end-face damage.
c. End surface with contamination, at high intensity laser burned through film.
d. When mounted stick too tight or uneven compaction pressure, due to internal stress caused by
excessive rod burst.
For this purpose, equipment operators do not open the laser cover generally, but also not allowed
to operate YAG rod, if found the end surface contamination, should be processed by trained
operators.
E. Maintenance of Focus cavity: With ceramic focus cavity with high reflectivity, and no need
maintain; generally do not allowed to take apart.
F. High voltage protection: to make the laser work, there are three kinds of voltage on the pulse
xenon lamp, be trigger voltage, 1.5 ~ 20000 v, pre-open circuit voltage 1700 ~ 2000 v, arc
discharge voltage about 500 ~ 1900 v.In addition, the lamp's electrode and other metal parts
should not be too close, at least over 15 mm

4. Installation
4.1Installation condition: Because of laser welding equipment adopts precision optical
components, the machine should be installed at the location of the meet the following
requirements:

A1 on motherboard is the power input, A2 is the touch screen cable, A3 is connected to the
shutter which can only take 12V and GATE, A4 is connected to the drive motor, connected to 5V,
PLUS, DIR can, adjustable spot motor torque, A5, A6 is connected drive signal, A7, A8 is the
sensor signal. If you are single lamp power on the drive signal only take A5 andA7 sensor signal

Menu panel:
Temp diff: to set temperature
Admin setting: to set alarm as below
Recommended operating temperature of the device from 20-25degrees. General set
temperature and the actual ambient temperature difference less than 4 degrees,
temperature difference 3degrees generally. Otherwise it will cause condensation.
General alarm temperature setting 35-40 degrees. Integrated water tank alarm temperature 35
degrees defaults.

3. Turn on power and adjust laser welding spot.
First set the appropriate welding parameters according to the characteristics of welding work
piece, such as pulse width, frequency, voltage and defocus and other parameters.( please review
to the video about parameter setting)
After the parameters set, to view the welding piece by the CCD veiewing system, moved up and
down welding piece, to get the clearest imaging in the viewing field
