THE CONSTITUTION
The Spanish
Constitution is the
fundamental law of Spain
(since 1978).
In Spain ,the head of
state is the monarch (the
king) but he does not
govern.
Spain is a parliamentary
monarchy ,divided into
17 autonomous
communities and two

THE EUROPEAN UNION
The European Union is

was founded in 1957,
but Spain became part
of it in 1986. They
have the same
currency: euro.
