Aryabhatta was a mathematician and
astronomer from India.
He was born in India, in Patna, Bihar.
His first name is actually Arya and his last
name Bhatt.
He was born in the late 400’s and died in the
early 500’s.
He was the first in the line of the great
Mathematician-Astronomers from India.

contributions?
The book Āryabhaṭīya.
He created the approximation of pi.
One of his most important contributions was
the number zero
