Design and Implementation of Smart Solar Lamp with Automationijtsrd
This paper proposes design and implementation of energy efficient smart solar lamp with automatic turn on or off mechanism for outdoor lighting purpose. The main objective is to design energy efficient smart solar lamp for energy conservation in existing lighting system in rural area, urban area and exclusively for smart cities. The system consists of LED luminaire, solar panel, light sensor, motion sensor, battery. The smart solar lamp’s lighting is controlled on the basis of motion in it’s surrounding and day night time. The system is design to automatically turn off during the hours of daylight and only operate during the night or when the light intensity is very low. Many times we see that our outdoor lights are remain switched ON even during day time, this is total of wastes of electricity while India is facing lack of electricity. Another problem is the traditional lamp e.g. Sodium vapour, Metal halide, Incandescent, Fluorescent lamps consumes more power as compared to new advanced Led Lights. Smart solar lamp can be operated free of cost by using automatic controlled and self powered. Priyanka Sadmake | Shivani Ganer | Vanashree Khapre | Ranjeet Thakur | S. K. Thermal comfort describes a person's psychological state regarding feeling too hot or cold, and is difficult to define as it depends on environmental and personal factors. Thermal comfort aims to satisfy the majority of people and is considered achieved if 80% of occupants feel comfortable. Thermal comfort is measured by complaints, not just air temperature, and impacts morale, productivity, and sick building syndrome symptoms if people cannot adapt to their environment.
This document discusses factors that influence comfort in the built environment, including temperature, humidity, noise, light, and smell. It explains that temperature and humidity levels that are most comfortable for humans are also healthy. While improvements have been made to acoustic insulation in buildings, proper acoustic performance is difficult to retrofit. Natural daylight is generally beneficial when sufficient but not excessive, and artificial lighting strategies should not sacrifice health for low energy goals. Odors and airborne irritants should be eliminated at their source where possible through materials choices.
This document provides an overview of solar oriented architecture and passive solar design principles. It discusses how passive solar design takes advantage of the sun's energy for daylighting and heating without active solar technologies like photovoltaics. Specific passive design elements covered include building orientation, shading, thermal mass, Trombe walls, solar chimneys, light shelves, and light pipes. The document emphasizes the importance of considering factors like climate, sun path, latitude, and site conditions when designing buildings to maximize natural daylight and heating from the sun.
This document discusses factors that affect human comfort within the internal environment, including temperature, humidity, air quality, and heat transfer. It provides information on:
- Normal human core temperature and the factors that influence heat production
- Methods of measuring temperature, heat, and thermal conductivity
- The three main methods of heat transfer and how insulation affects heat loss
- Typical indoor/outdoor design temperatures and calculating heat loss due to ventilation
- The relationship between humidity, ventilation, and condensation
This document provides information on the design, installation, and maintenance of a photovoltaic (PV) solar system. It discusses topics such as net metering, site assessments, permits required, factors that impact production, protection systems, installation processes, inspections, and monitoring of the system. The document also includes a sample 100kW project timeline laying out the key milestones of the project.
The document discusses various architectural strategies for hot and dry climates. It provides examples of traditional and vernacular architecture from different regions that effectively address the climate through passive design. Some key strategies mentioned include using thick, insulated walls; limiting window openings; orienting buildings around central courtyards to promote cross ventilation; employing overhangs, pergolas and vegetation for shading; and designing roofs to slope towards courtyards to drain heat. Case studies examined include the traditional Bungha house from India and the modern Parekh House designed by Charles Correa.
Climatology is the study of climate elements like temperature, humidity, wind etc and their impact on architecture. Architectural climatology involves studying how climate affects human comfort and designing the built environment accordingly. Key considerations include site planning based on topography, passive solar design, daylighting, ventilation, moisture control and noise control. Design strategies aim to benefit from positive climate elements while mitigating negative impacts through techniques like insulation, absorption, damping, isolation and appropriate material selection.
The Bidani House project demonstrates how to design a climate-responsive building on a constrained urban site. Located in Faridabad's composite climate zone, the house has large temperature swings throughout the year. Key sustainable features include developing the house form around a central courtyard to act as a heat sink, using buffer spaces on the overheated southwestern exposure, allowing solar penetration according to seasonal changes through the building form, and using local stone for thermal mass to moderate temperature swings. The project shows how responsive design is possible even on a fixed small urban site.
The document discusses solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including their advantages and disadvantages. It describes the I-V characteristics of solar cells and equivalent circuit. Variations in isolation and temperature affect the PV characteristics. Losses limit conversion efficiency. Maximizing open circuit voltage, short circuit current, and fill factor leads to high performance. Solar cells are classified based on material thickness, junction structure, and active material. PV modules, panels, and arrays are also discussed. Maximum power point tracking using a buck-boost converter can optimize solar PV output. For any project, return on investment is key, but this is especially true for small commercial projects, where getting the most bang for your buck is essential. The key is reframing your thinking: it’s not just about traditional measures of cost like dollar per watt. Thinking about production capacity, and your dollar per kilowatt-hour, will yield a much better picture of how your project will return–and how you can meet your bottom line.
In this webinar, we’ll take you through the key steps for maximizing your power production in small commercial projects, including choosing panels that will give you more power for your money, how to site effectively to ensure you’re capturing as much sunlight as possible throughout the day, and thinking beyond fixed-mount systems to systems that follow the sun to increase your production by up to 40%.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).
