ACT Assessment Workshop Prompts

The document describes the format of the ACT Writing Test. It presents five prompts that ask examinees to write an essay taking a position on an issue relevant to high school students. For each prompt, two perspectives on the issue are provided as a starting point, but examinees may also develop their own perspective. Examinees are instructed to use specific reasons and examples to support their position on the prompt's question.
