This document contains a rubric for assessing an acrylic practice painting assignment. The painting was assessed on presentation, design, studio skills, and meeting the objective. For presentation, the drawing was neat and showed care. For design, the composition allowed the eye to move through it intentionally. Studio skills like sighting techniques were used to achieve accurate proportions. The objective of completing a 9x12 acrylic painting using complementary colors of a still life was fully met. Reflection questions asked about similarities and differences between acrylic and oil pastel, challenges of acrylic painting from observation, and advice for others learning this skill.
