8. ABORTION
Abortion refers to be “spontaneous or
induced expulsion of an embryo or
fetus from the womb of a pregnant
woman”.

SPONTANEOUS ABORTION
Its causes are natural.
Normally called a miscarriage.
It occurs during the early part of the pregnancy.
INDUCED ABORTION
Intentional expulsion of the embryo or fetus from the
womb.

Manual Vacuum Aspiration (MVA)
