• Children from 5-12 years old, from primary to secondary school.
• YLLs are kinesthetic learners, they like to move their bodies all
the time, they are so active and love to touch every single object
and play with them.
♥ Teaching YLLs is a challenge, we need a lot of energy ans
patience.
♥ Their learning style is through movement and gestures.
- Children are stimulated
by 5 senses.
- Teachers must create
and choose activities that
involve the use of games.
• Use of role-play.
• Physical activities.
• Hands activities.
• Audio visual aids.
• Paintings and tapes.
School teachers should
develop authentic
meaningful language.
Ways to get this done are:
• Storylines.
• Familiar situations.
• Real-life dialogues.
TEACHING ACTIVITIES SCHOOLS
02
Laziness: indicator of a learner
who is either disengaged,
disconnected or unmotivated.
They rarely complete their work
and when they do it, it is low
quality.
• Include movement activities in class.
• Incorporate topics that are interesting for all
students.
• Check the student´s special needs, test if is
necessary.
• Establish connection with students
• Ask them to work collaboratively
THE LAZY/POORLY
MOTIVATED STUDENT
Student who do actions or make
comments disrespectful to the teacher,
classmates, etc.
They often say activites don’t matter to
them, are stupid, boring and hate paying
attention to the teacher.
• They don’t trust iadults and their
behavior may a challenge the
responsability of teachers
03
• Find information about their special needs. • Talk to them in private and make it very clear that
you will sort things.
• Try to empathize with any psychological problem
they might have.
EMPATHY
COMMUNICATION RELATION TEACHER-STUDENT
• Don’t take the behavior of these students
personally and motivate them to work productively.
WORKING EFFICIENTLY
♥ The distracted students used to be in disadvantage at school.
♦ For the teachers is a challenge work with TDA-H (Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder)
♣ This kinda students struggle focusing on activities given.
♠ Usually they start working well and then lose focus after a while.
○ Often talk to their peers and move around the classroom.
04
• Don’t use tasks that require
students to focus for very long
periods of time.
• Reward for every time they
complete tasks.
• Make sure they understand tasks
that have been assigned.
TASKS
○ It’s necessary for the teacher to
have a problem solving attitude.
○ Didactic resources teaching and
performances are easy to apply
with this kind of students
ATTITUDE
◘ Discover their intereses.
◘ Ask them to help out with something.
◘ Use body language.
◘ Move the students to the “action
center”.
◘ Praise and encourage the students
regularly.
