War Is Peace, Freedom Is Slavery, Ignorance Is Strength
1984 For as long as governments have existed, the people they ruled feared them. This fear and the
desire to improve these governments have let to countless different attempts to perfect government.
From the most liberal democracy to the most crushing dictatorship, governments have all faced some
shortcomings. Because of the faults inherent in all governments, various types of governance have
been the topic for many authors. The late novelist Ayn Rand wrote many books on the trouble that a
socialist government could bring and espoused the virtue of individualism. She felt that by allowing
government to limit our individual freedoms, we were sentencing ourselves to a certain death. She
wrote that We are fast approaching the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another dominant example of irony is the Party s slogan: WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS
SLAVERY, IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH (Orwell 17). The slogan is an example of superficial
verbal irony. However, upon closer examination, it sheds more light on Orwell s intent. By stating that
war is peace , Orwell sends distinct messages to two vastly different groups. To the proles, the
commoners, war is peace can be read at its most literal meaning, that there can one day be peace by
defeating the enemy and securing victory. Despite the simple understanding the proles have of the
slogan, those in the Inner Party, the group of people in charge of Oceania, have a much more devious
understanding of it. To them, the slogan represents the shell game that they play with the common
citizen. Much like the street gambler taking bets on which shell the rock is under, the Inner Party
assures that the citizenry is focused on whatever country Oceania is fighting, rather than on the leaders
of the country. This claim is further supported on page 161 where Orwell describes the futility of the
wars that are being fought. None of the three superstates ever attempts any maneuver which involves
the risk of serious defeat (Orwell 161). Rather than try to end the wars, they continue fighting to keep
the minds of the working class occupied with hate. The leaders in 1984 saw that it was not
advantageous to advocate a strict moral

How The British Invasion Changed American Culture
The appearance of British rock groups in America changed our culture massively. The original Beatles
invasion opened the floodgates, and provided a boost for other cultural exports such as films, art and
television. British Invasion acts influenced fashion, haircuts and other manners of culture in the 1960s.
It became known as the counter culture because the groups gave the young rebels of the 60s
something to relate to and thus influenced what defined a cultural rebel.
The success of British acts time lead American garage rock bands to change their sound and style to
match. The most famous example of this was the Monkees; an American made carbon copy of the
Beatles that were formed simply to capitalize off the British Invasion ... Show more content on

(One thing that Americans used to avoid the depressing times was to use illegal drugs, but that will be
elaborated on later.) This is what it was all about; sure it was about the music, but it brought more, it
brought a way of life across the ocean.
A lot of the invasion stayed in that generation, many bands and songs that were big then are all but
totally forgotten about now. Bands such as the Searchers, the Swinging Blue Jeans, and Gerry and the
Pacemakers all had one or two great hits which stayed in that time. This however, was part of the
beauty of it all. Some of the music stayed with us thirty years later, and that s great, it gives us a good
sampling of the time. On the other hand, you have the music that was meant for the era, and not for
future generations. That is part of the uniqueness of it all, and Lester Bangs says it best when he tells
how it doesn t matter that the music isn t listened to anymore, that s not what it was for. It was for the
time, it was a timepiece .
On the other hand, we have the bands that were not simply timepieces and were able to stick around
three decades later. These bands are the Who, the Kinks, the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. This is
another aspect of why the invasion was so influential. Where would we be in rock and roll with out
the Beatles, and on a slightly

Brief History of Ethiopia
Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those
who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has
made it possible for evil to triumph. Haile Selassie The name Ethiopia derives from the Greek word
ethio, meaning burned and pia, meaning face : the land of burned faced peoples or in some points also
means something divided . Ethiopia also known as (Abyssinia) is the tenth largest country in Africa,
covering 439,580 square miles almost twice the size of Texas. Addis Ababa is the third highest capital
city in the world. The country boasts a massive population as one of the densest landlocked countries
in the world with roughly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This can be seen particularly true in urban areas where women are beginning to take a major role in all
areas of employment and men are beginning to take a greater role in domestic life. The Ethiopian
traditional costume is made of woven cotton. Ethiopian men and women wear this traditional costume
called gabbi or Netella. Women often wear dresses (Kemis) and netella with borders of colored
embroidered woven crosses, but other designs are also used. Other ethnic groups and tribes in the
south and west of the country wear different costumes that reflect their own traditions. Some tribes
partially cover their body with leather but others do not wear any clothes at all, merely decorating
their faces and bodies with distinctive images. As far as nation cuisine goes one of the more known
Ethiopian national dishes is called wat. It is a hot spicy stew accompanied by injera (traditional large
spongy pancake made of teff flour and water). Teff is unique to the country and is grown on the
Ethiopian highlands. There are many varieties of wat, e.g. chicken, beef, lamb, vegetables, lentils, and
ground split peas stewed with hot spice called Berbere. It s made of dried red hot pepper, herbs,
spices, dried onions, dried garlic and salt ingredients. Wat is served by placing it on top of the injera,
which is served in a mesob (large basket tray). The food is eaten with fingers by tearing off a piece of

I Am A Leader Of The New Iphone
I am a colossally faithful Apple brand shopper. I got the iPod Nano around a week after it turned out,
the iPhone 3G the day it turned out, and now am a pleased owner of the new iPhone 6S . Allowed I
don t have a Mac or an iPad, regardless I surrender that the majority of Apple s items are mechanically
and tastefully better than the greater part of its adversaries (yes, even to the cherished Wake Forest
version ThinkPad). The traditional consumer decision process starts with problem recognition. I would
say, I totally skirted this underlying stage. Since I was taking after web journals and declarations about
the arrival of the most up to date era iPhone since last year like it was my employment, I realized that
the iPhone would have been released on September 25th I likewise realized that you would have the
capacity to preorder it on September 12. Thus at 8am on September 12, I preordered the fresh out of
the plastic new iPhone 6S for $700 in addition to some expense, and hence started the expectation
until get day on October started. So glancing back at my purchase, I never truly encountered a minute
when I understood that I had an issue which should have been tended to or a trigger that made me
need the phone. I as of now had a phone (a working Samsung as a substitution for my dead iPhone
5s), I basically recently concluded that I needed the freshest and best innovation out there which the
iPhone advertised.

What Is A Day In The Life Of An Affiliate Marketer
A Day In The Life Of An Affiliate Marketer
Being in the affiliate marketing business is not that hard now with the internet at your disposable. It is
much easier now compared to the days when people had to make use of the telephones and other
mediums of information just to get the latest updates on the way their program is coming along.
So with technology at hand, and assuming that the affiliate is working from home, a day in his or her
life would look something like this...
Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer is turned on to check out new developments
in the network. As far as the marketer is concerned there might be new things to update and statistics
to keep track of.
The site design has to be revised. The marketer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is where they can discuss things such as how to best promote their products.
There are things to be learned and it is a continuous process. Sharing tips and advice is a good way of
showing support. There may be others out there wanting to join and may be enticed by the discussion
that is going on. There is no harm in assuming what opportunities lie ahead.
The newsletters, ezines and blogs were updated days ago, so it is time for the affiliate marketer to see
if there are some new things happening in the market. This will be written about in the marketer s
publication to be distributed to the old and new customers.
These same publications are also an important tool in keeping up to date with the newly introduced
products. The marketer has put up a sale and promotion that customers may want to know about.
Besides, they have to keep up with the deadline for these sales written in the publications.
It is that time to show some appreciation to those who have helped the marketer in the promotions and
sale increase. Nothing like mentioning the persons, their sites and the process they have used that
made everything worked.
Of course, this will be published in the newsletters. Among the more important information that has
been written already.
The marketer still has time to write out recommendations to those who want credible sources for the
products being promoted. There

Analysis Of Sweetness By Toni Morrison
In an effort to explain the impact of colorism in black communities, Rita B. Dandridge once stated, In
African American culture, class bias is the handmaiden of intraracial prejudice that privileges the near
white or light complexioned person over the darker hued. These privileges include more desirable
jobs, houses in more prestigious neighborhoods, and better educational opportunities based on one
having a lighter skin complexion. Since whites have more privileges in society simply based on the
color of their skin, it is common for blacks to want to be white or be able to at least pass as white. In
the short story, Sweetness by the author Toni Morrison, the character Sweetness faces the struggles of
raising a dark skin girl during ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even though her mother was a light skin black woman, she did not want to live her life as a lie, by
living as a white woman. Her mother embraced her blackness, which forced her to find work as a
maid; her employers did not treat her with the same dignity as a white woman would receive. After
seeing what her mother went through for accepting her blackness and living her life as a black woman,
she knew that was not the life she wanted to live. Even though Sweetness knew she was a black
woman, she did not want to face the harsh reality of being one. But how else can we hold on to a little
dignity? How else can we avoid being spit on in a drugstore, elbowed at the bus stop, having to walk
in the gutter to let whites have the whole sidewalk, being charged a nickel at the grocer s for a paper
bag that s free to white shoppers? Let alone all the name calling. I heard about all of that and much,
much more. (Morrison) After hearing about all of the stories that other blacks went through,
Sweetness knew her only way out was to use her light skin to her advantage. It was not a difficult
decision for her to make because she knew all of the advantages that came with it. By living life as a
white woman, Sweetness was able to have a job at a hospital and live a life that was much easier than
her mother s. But after having a dark skin baby, she knew life as she

Esperanza Rising Character Analysis
Everybody has difficulties in their lives that change them in some way, shape, or form. When a person
experiences these difficulties; It can cause them to shift their outlook on certain things and/or cause
changes in character. This is certainly the case when it comes to Esperanza Ortega. She is the main
character in Esperanza Rising. Esperanza 13 years old and lives in El Rancho de las Rosas. She is the
only daughter of a very wealthy rancher. Esperanza is forced to leave her perfect life due to the murder
of her father. She comes to California and becomes a peasant worker. This journey causes Esperanza
to change in many different ways.
The first way that Esperanza changes involves the change of her attitude. She is initially very selfish
and quite arrogant. The transition that she goes through ends up causing her to be more of a kind
person. She is also very generous to everyone around. Before she made this change, her selfishness
was very obvious. This was evident when she was traveling to California with her mother. She did not
want to be in the cheap section of the train where peasants travel. Esperanza goes on to say, We cannot
travel in this car. (Munoz Ryan) She really does come off quite arrogant. Her selfishness is also very
evident when she is getting on the train. Esperanza is holding her doll and a girl named Mona,
daughter of a peasant, wants to hold her doll. She would not even allow the girl to touch the doll.
Esperanza says to her mother, Mama she is

Brief History of Rolls-Royce Company
Introduction: Brief History of Rolls Royce Company
The Rolls Royce is a large aero engine manufacturer company that implemented various operational
strategies to improve and meet their market demands. However, it was some time after the acquisition
of Allison Engine Company (total new market for the company USA) that forced the company to
search for new internal management operational approach. The overall motive was to obtain a new
structure which would allow the company to focus more on manufacturing engines and less on
internal management operations and decision making. In effort to meet the market demands, the
company sought an operation system more adequate to the type of organization. Henceforth, the Rolls
Royce Company embraced the ERP system. Yusuf, et al. (2004), stated that the ERP aims to integrate
business processes [such as manufacturing, finance, procurement and distribution] through the support
of an integrated computer information system [connected by interfaces] (Yusuf, el al 2004, pp 252).
Another initiative of the organization was to have external outsourcing company; EDS Company to
assist in the implementation of the new system. The main focus was to establish connection and
integration amongst all areas of the company s operation.
Roll Royce: New Organization
Child (2005) stated that adequate integration may be obtained when the company can turn the people
and knowledge at a company s disposal into a distinctive and dynamic capability, leading

How did World War One improve opportunities for women s...
World War One was a time of death, destruction and was in general a conflict of monumental
proportions. However, as the cliché goes, there is a silver lining to every storm cloud. In the case of
the Great War, the silver lining refers to the great leaps forward made in women s empowerment and
involvement in society because of the advent of the war, which forced them into positions previously
never considered by either gender. World War One provided women with the perfect opportunity to
demonstrate to a male dominated society that females were there for more than simply domestic
chores, and this proved to be beneficial for both women and men alike. Women became involved in
the army on the frontlines, were nurses and medical aids, played ... Show more content on

As women were finally recognised for their contributions as nurses and medical aids, they were
provided with a sense of importance and their position in society was elevated. Without the women
who courageously partook in these organisations, the casualty rates would have been much higher, so
the services that these women provided were undeniably invaluable. Because women played such an
instrumental role in World War 1, the war became a time when women s roles that were previously
thought to be mundane were finally acknowledged and respected, bringing a whole new level to
women s empowerment. Although women were actively participating in the military itself, their
involvement in the civilian workforce was just as equality asserting and significant, especially when
women began to take on roles such as running their countries transport systems. During the advent of
war, the need for transport increased exponentially, as supplies, personnel, and other war related
equipment were in higher demand. With the men enlisted in the army, there was no choice but for the
women to take over these professions, including working on the rail and tram lines and driving trucks,
cranes, cars, and motorbikes for the war. Women found this thrilling (Goldstein), as this was an
experience that none had encountered before and was a far

College Pressures By William Zinsser
Students Facing Obstacle During College Life
During the college life students have to deal with different types of obstacles. In the article, College
Pressures William Zinsser focuses on the pressure faced by the college students. He talks about how
the students are dealing with economic pressure, parental pressure, peer pressure, and self induced
pressure. College students are worried about getting high paid jobs and being rich instead of relaxing
and enjoying now. Zinsser claims that students are worried about their future by using pathos.
According to Zinsser, one of the pressure students has to face in the college is economical. Pathos
have been used by the author to make the reader feel that how students are dealing with economic
problems. Student with scholarship are very safe and doesn t have to worry about an economic
problem. Zinsser states I tell them to relax. They can t. Zinsser is trying to convince students not take
the pressure, but he/she won t be able to relax because college demands too much of money. Just to
pay for the college, students have to work during the weekends or whenever there is a free time.
Zinsser supports his stamen by proclaiming Tuition, room, and board at most private colleges now
comes to at least $7,000, not counting books and fees. This might seem to suggest that the colleges are
getting rich. But they are equally battered by inflation. Tuition covers only 60% of what it costs to
educate a student, and ordinarily the remainder

Essay On The Woman Warrior
A typical warrior is a medieval knight in shining armor fighting for his life and homeland. Today, the
definition of what it means to be a warrior has become ambiguous. Often times, we view those willing
to sacrifice their lives for others soldiers, police officers, or firefighters as warriors. Even expanded in
this way, the warrior still has a connotation of physical bravery, masculine strength, and unhindered
confidence. However, the word warrior can have an entirely new meaning when we use it in a literary
context. It can be defined as a person who is simply fighting for convictions and values that are
morally and ethically right. As associated with women, some real, some legendary, some with evident
power, some seeming to be weak. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This story ignited this internal conflict that began within Maxine. She began contemplating this
balance between the strict Chinese tradition, and its relation to her American values. Nonetheless, a
key theme that emerges is acknowledging the power that Maxine s mother held as the storyteller. Her
interpretation of the events characterized Maxine s aunt as a repulsive person. Maxine was NOT [to]
tell anyone because it risked bringing exposure and shame to the family (1). After hearing the events
through her mother s perspective, Maxine understood that her mother controlled the way events
unraveled. This realization showcases how Maxine was able to think outside the framework her
mother was providing for her. Maxine imagined that in order to sustain being in love, [her aunt] often
worked at herself in the mirror (6). Her innocence and ability to recognize what her mother was trying
to invoke fear in her actually directed Maxine to think in a contradictory way. As a result of this
evolved critical thinking, Maxine never once characterized her dead aunt as a humiliation. From her
narrative, Maxine overlooked her actions and commended her resilience. Although directly not stated
within the text, Maxine expanded the definition of what it meant to be a warrior and gave this insight
that her aunt can be characterized

U.s. Army Signal Corps Essay
The U.S. Air Force started its days as the U.S. Army Signal Corps on Aug. 1, 1907, when a small
aeronautical division took charge of all matter that pertained to military air machines, ballooning and
all kindred subjects (Pawlyk, Canty News, n.d.). The Air Force has undergone some significant
changes throughout the years, but it has only done so because it has identified its strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities and threats. History The first plane was tested at Fort Meyer, Virginia, on
Aug. 20, 1908. On this date, Lt. Thomas E. Selfridge died while flying with Orville Wright, which
was the first military aviation casualty. After more testing and improvements came to the aircraft, the
U.S. Army accepted the first plane on Aug. 2, 1909, which was called Airplane No. 1. On July 18,
1915, former president Woodrow Wilson signed a bill stating the Signal Corps an Aviation Section
was to replace the aeronautical division. The aviation section was to supervise and operate all military
aircraft, which at the time included balloons and airplanes. This section also looked after all the
equipment and appliances that pertained to the crafts. The section trained officers and enlisted
members in military aviation. During World War I, the 1st Aero Squadron represented air power of the
U.S. Army and started with a total of 12 officers, 54 enlisted men and only six aircraft. By the end of
1915 the aviation section grew to 44 officers, 224 enlisted members and 23 airplanes. While

Edna St. Vincent Millay What My Lips Have Kissed
What my lips have kissed, and where, and why is a poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay, it was written
way ahead of its time because it talks about a very promiscuous woman in a time where women were
supposed to be submissive to their husbands. The poem involves a speaker who is recalling her past
experiences with men. Towards the end of the poem the speaker starts to feel regret because she is
getting old and cannot participate in these activities anymore. Edna St. Vincent Millay s, What my lips
have kissed, and where, and why the speaker expresses regret of growing old by using the ghost,
winter and summer, and the tree to show her feelings. Edna St. Vincent Millay s, What my lips have
kissed, and where, and why first shows how the speaker ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When she first talks about winter, she says that Thus in winter stands a lonely tree, (9). When referring
to winter, it is the season of death. The speaker is realizing that her days left is slowly approaching an
end. She then turns and references summer, I only know that summer sang in me (13), and that in me
sings no more (14). As she is talking about summer, she is also talking about her memories of herself
when she was young. This corresponds with the seasons because in summer things are new and want
to be experienced however, in winter this is the season when everything is dying and no one wants to
be a part of it. The speaker can feel this happening to herself because she sees herself as winter, and
she longs to be like summer again. In the summer stage of her life, she is youthful, and she has men
aching to be around her. However, now that she has approached the winter stage of her life she is
feeling strong feelings of regret. Thus, this shows how she feels about herself by showing how she
talks about winter and summer and how it compares to the sorrow in her life

Stillbirth The Silent Delivery Room Essay
Stillbirth the Silent Delivery Room
Childbirth what do we really know about childbirth and childbirth losses. There have been many
books written about childbirth losses but those books barely cover the topics, or they tend to sequester
the information. Although, there has been frequency, pregnancy and childbirth losses are not widely
recognized or understood still in our culture. Most of our health care providers are reluctant to inform
women of the possibility of loss. Some medical professional would state that this is understandably in
today s culture and society; so our health care providers are reluctant to discuss medical options until a
problem occurs. Our healthcare professional such as doctors, nurses, administrators, etc. are the once
who we trust. We trust them with our personal information and our health care. To hear that some if
not most may be holding back important information that could affect our health and decision making
is a questionable practice.

Pan s Labyrinth Themes
Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane A child s imagination is the most powerful weapon he or she can be
armed with and it is within Guillermo Del Toro s captivating and Academy Award winning film, Pan s
Labyrinth that we are presented with this concept as well as themes of existentialism and duality.
Various motifs such as; brutality, innocence, childhood and war, allow Del Toro to construct two
worlds that are all too real and very similar for one young girl. Set in Spain 1944 during a time when
people are forced to choose between their beliefs and their survival, Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) is
compelled to choose her faith in fantasies over her hope in humanity. Ofelia is in a battle of good vs.
evil vs. innocence and must realize that all three cannot thrive. The opening and ending scenes of Del
Toro s film show Ofelia s birth, death and rebirth while simultaneously providing the answers to the
frequent philosophical questions Del Toro exhibited. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At this stage of the movie, the faun character is completely rejuvenated and is with Ofelia but is
fixated on opening the labyrinth s portal. The faun s transformation from old to young was done
intentionally so that Ofelia s character could be judged properly. It is much harder to say no when
temptation presents itself in a beautiful form. Ofelia s good nature and pure heart would be revealed in
this moment and this was something del Toro wanted to exemplify. Ending a film with a child dying is
disturbing however; del Toro chooses to make her death about redemption since she regained her
innocence through death (i.e. rebirth). Ofelia would be born again and assume her role as Princess of
the fantasy realm she desperately desired to be apart of. The final shot of Ofelia mirrors the opening
shot of the film but this time, blood drips down and out of her nose while the nostalgic song plays
softly, signifying the

The Visual Recognition Of Image Patterns
CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
1.1. Background to the Study
As a scientific discipline, computer vision is concerned with the extraction of information from
images to be employed in a decision making process. The image data can take many forms, such as
video sequences, still images, digitized maps, diagrams and sketches. These images may be in colour
format, grey scale or in binary format. The common approach is to extract characteristic features from
the image either in the spatial domain or in some suitable transform domain. Whether the goal is
classification or recognition, a measure of similarity or distance must be formulated and the success
rate of the system evaluated. Some of the application areas of computer vision are:
1.1.1. Robotics
The visual recognition of image patterns is a fundamental human attribute that uses the eye as a sensor
and dedicated parts of the brain as the decision making processor. The visual recognition enables
humans to perform a variety of tasks such as target identification, ease of movement, handling tools,
communication among others. Advances in sensing and visual perception techniques have enabled
some of these attributes to be transferred to robots. For example, identification of colour is a useful
asset in a robot in an industrial automation process that involves sorting. [1], [2], [3]
1.1.2. Industrial Inspection
Industrial inspection is an area in which pattern recognition is of importance. A pattern recognition
system captures images

Differences In Australi Similarities Between Islam And...
Religions in Australia
For this assignment I will be describing the differences and similarities between Islam and Hinduism.
These are both major religions around the world. Islam has around 1.57 billion followers and
Hinduism has around 900 million. Islam is a monotheistic religion (as they only worship one God) and
Hinduism is on the other hand difficult to describe (more on that later)
The Beginnings
Hinduism was created in India and is the oldest religion known at around 4000 years old. Islam was
created in Mecca (now known as Saudi Arabia) and was said to be created around the time of the
prophet Adam. The founder of Hinduism is unknown and to the followers is said to have always
existed while some were aware of it and some were not. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Phonological Development Of Native Japanese Speakers Essay
Abstract
The current study looked at the phonological development of native Japanese speakers who speak
English as a second language. Two subjects were given a word list of English words to read from and
recorded. The recordings were then analyzed based on their divergence from English phonology. The
recordings were also shown to native English speakers to rate the foreign accent of the subjects. The
current study was conducted under the hypothesis that the speakers L1 would interfere with the
phonological development in their L2, and looked at other factors such as speakers attitude and
differences in natural ability.
Keywords: Japanese, English, Second Language Acquisition, Phonological Development
1. Introduction
Second language learners who begin to acquire a language later in life are often thought to have more
trouble with learning to pronounce the sounds of their second language than learners who began
second language acquisition early in life. In the Contrastive Analysis Hypothesis (CAH), the errors in
pronunciation are the result of transfer from the speaker s native language (L1) to their second
language (L2). However, other factors can account for the troubles second language learners encounter
in their pronunciation. Factors such as the positive or negative attitude towards the target language as
well as phonological memory can influence how well a learner acquires a language. As well,
perception of the sounds of the target language and the native

State-of-the-art E-mail Encryptions
CHAPTER 2 : LITERATURE REVIEW 2.0 INTRODUCTION Today with drastic changes in
communication technologies based on computer and internet, people more often communicate via
emails. However, traditional email protocol is insecure because the message that has been transmitted
is in plain text. Someone can intercepts copy or even alter the emails. Individual privacies such as
personal/commercial secrets, bank transaction and even the countries intelligence information that
send through email are more vulnerable to be hacked. Therefore, the security of emails has raised the
attention of community. The primary explanations behind the Email communication not utilizing
encryption is that the current Email encryption results require monotonous operations and hard key
administrations. In this way, research about on basic, very secured also effective Email content

Male Dominance: The Amish society and the Medieval Sagas
When you think of male dominance what s the first thing that comes to mind? Do you think of a wife

sports, society s, or groups and taking charge of business meetings? When it comes to male dominance
several ideas can go through your mind. Would you have thought outside the box and thought about
servants or prostitutes? The Amish society and the Medieval Iceland sagas are greatly like the Male

level ground with men. This is not to say that women are not sexually victimized more than men, but
to strictly attribute that to their physical makeup stigmatizes them as inherently inferior. This is no
different than stigmatizes a person because of the color of their skin. Thus, MacKinnon s effort to

Romeo And Juliet Balcony Scene Analysis
The balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet is a well remembered scene in Romeo and Juliet. Although,
there are different versions of it in different movies and plays. I m comparing the balcony scene
between the original script and the 1997 movie. There are a lot of differences, with not as many
similarities. It seems as a more modern day version... There are some key details in both the movie
and the script. Some key details in the play are that Romeo hides in the darkness, and that he is
stalking Juliet in a way. It also takes place on a balcony near the streets, [Seeing Juliet enter above on
a balcony] (Act II Scene 2, Page 71) which is a lot more in older days than modern. In the movie
version, some key details are that Romeo is hidden on a vine, not so much hidden though.(You can see
in the 1997 movie, Romeo + Juliet, directed by Baz Luhrmann.) The setting is also on a deck and a
pool. Those are some of the key details you will need to know. Now, I will explain the differences
between the original script and the movie. One pretty noticable difference is that the setting is a lot
different. In the script, the setting is on the balcony, and is definitely a way less modern version,
almost like a cliche love scene. In the 1997 movie, the setting isn t even on a balcony, it is on a back
porch with a pool. This takes away the whole cliche love scene in the original script, and as I feel
takes away some of the meaning of the original. It also is a lot more modern, because there aren t as
many balconies in modern day houses now, which makes sense why the didn t put one, therefore it is
an older and more modern day version. Another big difference between the two is that in the script,
they don t have a pool that they jump into and kiss, but in the 1997 movie they do. Romeo and Juliet
go into the pool together and kiss, when in the script they talk from a distance and then meet at her
balcony. I think they did this also because it was made to be more modern, but they kept more of the
cliche love scene. The last difference I will talk about is in the script, romeo hides in the darkness
unseen, I have the darkness to hide me from their eyes... (Act II Scene 2, page 75) while Juliet walks
out onto her balcony and talks

Literary Devices In The Epic Of Gilgamesh
The author uses many literary devices in The Epic of Gilgamesh in order to describe the character of
Humbaba, the one who guards the cedar forest, because he wants the reader to be just as fearful of the
character as Enkidu, who is the speaker of lines 155 158 in the text. The character s fear of the ugly
beast is ironic because when Enkidu dies Gilgamesh too becomes afraid to die. Another reason I chose
this short passage is that the author uses imagery and foreshadowing to hint to the reader what
happens later on in the epic and I believe it is essential to the poem. The author also uses repetition in
order to stress the idea that Humbaba is not to be tormented. Enkidu warns Gilgamesh not to go near
the forest of cedars to kill Humbaba, but Gilgamesh laughs at him and asks Enkidu why he is afraid to
die all of the sudden. The paragraph I chose also prepares the reader for unforeseen events that occur
later on in the epic poem, including Enkidu s death.
Enkidu is weary of Gilgamesh s plan and is not in agreeance to join him initially. He questions
Gilgamesh s idea about the quest to kill Humbaba. Enkidu says, How shall the likes of us go to the
forest of cedars, my friend (line 155). Enkidu is not confident in his abilities to conquer Humbaba.
The author includes this line to symbolize Enkidu becoming more civilized. Enkidu shows fear for
someone he used to live amongst in the forest, and he is starting to realize that nature is something to
be feared. Gilgamesh

Seamus Heaney s Mid-Term Break Essay
Midterm Break Interp Mid Term Break
Seamus Heaney s Mid Term Break is an extremely tear jerking poem. The story begins and ends in a
very depressing manner, while in between we are treated to a very vivid and blunt view of life and
how it can all come to an abrupt end. While Mid Term Break does use death to grab at the reader s
heart strings, the story is most likely a description of life in Heaney s native Northern Ireland, not
Heaney s life, but a very general view of life in Northern Ireland, how it can all come to a screeching
halt at the hands of others and for no apparent reason. The warring in Northern Ireland has cost a lot of
lives and due to the staggering amount of those who have passed for their cause, it is easy ... Show

It could be interpreted that this is a representation of those leaders who lead the rebellion. Those who
send others to the front, then when one of their own goes down to attack, pull back somewhat and deal
with their loss, rather than continue to lend that same support to the cause. Heaney s mother coughing
out angry tearless sighs, (Heaney 13) speaks as a sort of anger in those around who feel this is more of
a setback to the rebellion, rather than losses that will affect families.
Lines 14 15 again shows Heaney using assonance, this time in his repetition of the short a . At ,
ambulance , arrived , stanched , and , and bandaged (Heaney 14 15) this emphasizes the stopping short
of blood and life. This death , is a very heart wrenching description of the prospect of their cause
coming to an end with every wave of casualties, not so much about death of those serving, but death
of the cause.
In the sixth stanza, Heaney tells us, the reader, that he hadn t seen his brother for six weeks, having
been away at school (Heaney 18). This could represent a sort of drift into personal loss, perhaps a
loved one lost in conflict, but most likely it is more of a vague insight to, perhaps, a specific excursion
in which several people left to encounter the opposing force and those survivors are just now
returning. Given the mood of the piece, the survivors are badly beaten and wounded, adding to the
despair felt throughout the work. The

1) I would utilize my Techno Beams #701 thru #704 with some yellow color at almost its full intensity

Summary Of Invisible Man, Hamlet, And Crime And Punishment
Out of all the books we ve read this year, in my opinion Invisible Man, Hamlet, and Crime and
Punishment did the best job of showing me what the world outside education was like. These books
do the best job because they depict very different lives from mine: they are narrated by men, one
African American, one Russian, and one Danish royalty three identities that I do not claim for myself.
If we re going to learn about the world, I might as well learn about worlds other than my own (which I
d say I m pretty familiar with). A common theme throughout the books I ve chosen is a problem with
the binaries society presents us, whether it be racial, moral or internal. The conflicts addressed in these
books often spring from a failure to find a balance, or an endeavor to find out where in the middle you
belong. Crime and Punishment is a prime example of the dangers of seeing in black and white.
Raskolnikov s existence is a grey area, because although he s a murderer, the reader is sort of rooting
for him. To me, Crime and Punishment is about the different tones morality can take. Raskolnikov is a
murderer, but to him, and maybe some of the readers, he is justified in his act. This crime doesn t
define him as a moral or immoral person, that is for the reader to decide. Sonya is a similar example of
the fluidity of morality, because she s a prostitute, but does so to help her family and also provides
crucial moral guidance to Rodya. Although I have no moral qualms with

Econ 120 Reflection Paper
1. Before entering this class, what was your grade expectation? Why?
When I decided to take this course I was expecting to get an A, because I believed that Econ 120 was
going to be similar to my Econ class on high school; unfortunately, it was not. Econ 120 is more
challenging. The first weeks of class were easy, but as the time passes the class got harder for me and
my grades on the exams dropped my overall grade on the class.
2. What is your grade before the final test? What level of performance had you been at?
My actual grade before the final is almost as my expectation grade when I entered this class, I have a
B with 89% without the final. I believe I had been doing good, not as I wanted it, but good. My lower
level of performance is on the multiple choice part of the exam, because I had been doing good on the
writing portion on the test, since I try to prepare to the best of my capacity. I think I have a good level
of performance because I have turned all my assignments on time and complete. Nevertheless, my

  • 2. War Is Peace, Freedom Is Slavery, Ignorance Is Strength 1984 For as long as governments have existed, the people they ruled feared them. This fear and the desire to improve these governments have let to countless different attempts to perfect government. From the most liberal democracy to the most crushing dictatorship, governments have all faced some shortcomings. Because of the faults inherent in all governments, various types of governance have been the topic for many authors. The late novelist Ayn Rand wrote many books on the trouble that a socialist government could bring and espoused the virtue of individualism. She felt that by allowing government to limit our individual freedoms, we were sentencing ourselves to a certain death. She wrote that We are fast approaching the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another dominant example of irony is the Party s slogan: WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH (Orwell 17). The slogan is an example of superficial verbal irony. However, upon closer examination, it sheds more light on Orwell s intent. By stating that war is peace , Orwell sends distinct messages to two vastly different groups. To the proles, the commoners, war is peace can be read at its most literal meaning, that there can one day be peace by defeating the enemy and securing victory. Despite the simple understanding the proles have of the slogan, those in the Inner Party, the group of people in charge of Oceania, have a much more devious understanding of it. To them, the slogan represents the shell game that they play with the common citizen. Much like the street gambler taking bets on which shell the rock is under, the Inner Party assures that the citizenry is focused on whatever country Oceania is fighting, rather than on the leaders of the country. This claim is further supported on page 161 where Orwell describes the futility of the wars that are being fought. None of the three superstates ever attempts any maneuver which involves the risk of serious defeat (Orwell 161). Rather than try to end the wars, they continue fighting to keep the minds of the working class occupied with hate. The leaders in 1984 saw that it was not advantageous to advocate a strict moral ... • 3. How The British Invasion Changed American Culture The appearance of British rock groups in America changed our culture massively. The original Beatles invasion opened the floodgates, and provided a boost for other cultural exports such as films, art and television. British Invasion acts influenced fashion, haircuts and other manners of culture in the 1960s. It became known as the counter culture because the groups gave the young rebels of the 60s something to relate to and thus influenced what defined a cultural rebel. The success of British acts time lead American garage rock bands to change their sound and style to match. The most famous example of this was the Monkees; an American made carbon copy of the Beatles that were formed simply to capitalize off the British Invasion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (One thing that Americans used to avoid the depressing times was to use illegal drugs, but that will be elaborated on later.) This is what it was all about; sure it was about the music, but it brought more, it brought a way of life across the ocean. A lot of the invasion stayed in that generation, many bands and songs that were big then are all but totally forgotten about now. Bands such as the Searchers, the Swinging Blue Jeans, and Gerry and the Pacemakers all had one or two great hits which stayed in that time. This however, was part of the beauty of it all. Some of the music stayed with us thirty years later, and that s great, it gives us a good sampling of the time. On the other hand, you have the music that was meant for the era, and not for future generations. That is part of the uniqueness of it all, and Lester Bangs says it best when he tells how it doesn t matter that the music isn t listened to anymore, that s not what it was for. It was for the time, it was a timepiece . On the other hand, we have the bands that were not simply timepieces and were able to stick around three decades later. These bands are the Who, the Kinks, the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. This is another aspect of why the invasion was so influential. Where would we be in rock and roll with out the Beatles, and on a slightly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Brief History of Ethiopia Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph. Haile Selassie The name Ethiopia derives from the Greek word ethio, meaning burned and pia, meaning face : the land of burned faced peoples or in some points also means something divided . Ethiopia also known as (Abyssinia) is the tenth largest country in Africa, covering 439,580 square miles almost twice the size of Texas. Addis Ababa is the third highest capital city in the world. This can be seen particularly true in urban areas where women are beginning to take a major role in all areas of employment and men are beginning to take a greater role in domestic life. The Ethiopian traditional costume is made of woven cotton. Ethiopian men and women wear this traditional costume called gabbi or Netella. Women often wear dresses (Kemis) and netella with borders of colored embroidered woven crosses, but other designs are also used. Other ethnic groups and tribes in the south and west of the country wear different costumes that reflect their own traditions. Some tribes partially cover their body with leather but others do not wear any clothes at all, merely decorating their faces and bodies with distinctive images. As far as nation cuisine goes one of the more known Ethiopian national dishes is called wat. It is a hot spicy stew accompanied by injera (traditional large spongy pancake made of teff flour and water). Teff is unique to the country and is grown on the Ethiopian highlands. There are many varieties of wat, e.g. chicken, beef, lamb, vegetables, lentils, and ground split peas stewed with hot spice called Berbere. It s made of dried red hot pepper, herbs, spices, dried onions, dried garlic and salt ingredients. Wat is served by placing it on top of the injera, which is served in a mesob (large basket tray). The food is eaten with fingers by tearing off a piece of injera and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. I Am A Leader Of The New Iphone I am a colossally faithful Apple brand shopper. I got the iPod Nano around a week after it turned out, the iPhone 3G the day it turned out, and now am a pleased owner of the new iPhone 6S . Allowed I don t have a Mac or an iPad, regardless I surrender that the majority of Apple s items are mechanically and tastefully better than the greater part of its adversaries (yes, even to the cherished Wake Forest version ThinkPad). The traditional consumer decision process starts with problem recognition. I would say, I totally skirted this underlying stage. Since I was taking after web journals and declarations about the arrival of the most up to date era iPhone since last year like it was my employment, I realized that the iPhone would have been released on September 25th I likewise realized that you would have the capacity to preorder it on September 12. Thus at 8am on September 12, I preordered the fresh out of the plastic new iPhone 6S for $700 in addition to some expense, and hence started the expectation until get day on October started. So glancing back at my purchase, I never truly encountered a minute when I understood that I had an issue which should have been tended to or a trigger that made me need the phone. I as of now had a phone (a working Samsung as a substitution for my dead iPhone 5s), I basically recently concluded that I needed the freshest and best innovation out there which the iPhone advertised. What Is A Day In The Life Of An Affiliate Marketer A Day In The Life Of An Affiliate Marketer Being in the affiliate marketing business is not that hard now with the internet at your disposable. It is much easier now compared to the days when people had to make use of the telephones and other mediums of information just to get the latest updates on the way their program is coming along. So with technology at hand, and assuming that the affiliate is working from home, a day in his or her life would look something like this... There is no harm in assuming what opportunities lie ahead. The newsletters, ezines and blogs were updated days ago, so it is time for the affiliate marketer to see if there are some new things happening in the market. This will be written about in the marketer s publication to be distributed to the old and new customers. These same publications are also an important tool in keeping up to date with the newly introduced products. The marketer has put up a sale and promotion that customers may want to know about. Besides, they have to keep up with the deadline for these sales written in the publications. It is that time to show some appreciation to those who have helped the marketer in the promotions and sale increase. Nothing like mentioning the persons, their sites and the process they have used that made everything worked. Of course, this will be published in the newsletters. Among the more important information that has been written already. The marketer still has time to write out recommendations to those who want credible sources for the products being promoted. • 7. Analysis Of Sweetness By Toni Morrison In an effort to explain the impact of colorism in black communities, Rita B. Dandridge once stated, In African American culture, class bias is the handmaiden of intraracial prejudice that privileges the near white or light complexioned person over the darker hued. These privileges include more desirable jobs, houses in more prestigious neighborhoods, and better educational opportunities based on one having a lighter skin complexion. Since whites have more privileges in society simply based on the color of their skin, it is common for blacks to want to be white or be able to at least pass as white. How else can we avoid being spit on in a drugstore, elbowed at the bus stop, having to walk in the gutter to let whites have the whole sidewalk, being charged a nickel at the grocer s for a paper bag that s free to white shoppers? Let alone all the name calling. I heard about all of that and much, much more. The transition that she goes through ends up causing her to be more of a kind person. She is also very generous to everyone around. Before she made this change, her selfishness was very obvious. This was evident when she was traveling to California with her mother. She did not want to be in the cheap section of the train where peasants travel. Brief History of Rolls-Royce Company Introduction: Brief History of Rolls Royce Company The Rolls Royce is a large aero engine manufacturer company that implemented various operational strategies to improve and meet their market demands. However, it was some time after the acquisition of Allison Engine Company (total new market for the company USA) that forced the company to search for new internal management operational approach. The overall motive was to obtain a new structure which would allow the company to focus more on manufacturing engines and less on internal management operations and decision making. In effort to meet the market demands, the company sought an operation system more adequate to the type of organization. Henceforth, the Rolls Royce Company embraced the ERP system. Yusuf, et al. (2004), stated that the ERP aims to integrate business processes [such as manufacturing, finance, procurement and distribution] through the support of an integrated computer information system [connected by interfaces] (Yusuf, el al 2004, pp 252). Another initiative of the organization was to have external outsourcing company; EDS Company to assist in the implementation of the new system. The main focus was to establish connection and integration amongst all areas of the company s operation. However, as the cliché goes, there is a silver lining to every storm cloud. In the case of the Great War, the silver lining refers to the great leaps forward made in women s empowerment and involvement in society because of the advent of the war, which forced them into positions previously never considered by either gender. World War One provided women with the perfect opportunity to demonstrate to a male dominated society that females were there for more than simply domestic chores, and this proved to be beneficial for both women and men alike. Women became involved in the army on the frontlines, were nurses and medical aids, played ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As women were finally recognised for their contributions as nurses and medical aids, they were provided with a sense of importance and their position in society was elevated. Without the women who courageously partook in these organisations, the casualty rates would have been much higher, so the services that these women provided were undeniably invaluable. Because women played such an instrumental role in World War 1, the war became a time when women s roles that were previously thought to be mundane were finally acknowledged and respected, bringing a whole new level to women s empowerment. Although women were actively participating in the military itself, their involvement in the civilian workforce was just as equality asserting and significant, especially when women began to take on roles such as running their countries transport systems. During the advent of war, the need for transport increased exponentially, as supplies, personnel, and other war related equipment were in higher demand. With the men enlisted in the army, there was no choice but for the women to take over these professions, including working on the rail and tram lines and driving trucks, cranes, cars, and motorbikes for the war. • 14. Essay On The Woman Warrior A typical warrior is a medieval knight in shining armor fighting for his life and homeland. Today, the definition of what it means to be a warrior has become ambiguous. Often times, we view those willing to sacrifice their lives for others soldiers, police officers, or firefighters as warriors. Even expanded in this way, the warrior still has a connotation of physical bravery, masculine strength, and unhindered confidence. However, the word warrior can have an entirely new meaning when we use it in a literary context. It can be defined as a person who is simply fighting for convictions and values that are morally and ethically right. As associated with women, some real, some legendary, some with evident power, some seeming to be weak. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The image data can take many forms, such as video sequences, still images, digitized maps, diagrams and sketches. These images may be in colour format, grey scale or in binary format. The common approach is to extract characteristic features from the image either in the spatial domain or in some suitable transform domain. Do you think of a wife obeying her husband, do you think about children obeying their fathers, how about men dominating in sports, society s, or groups and taking charge of business meetings? When it comes to male dominance several ideas can go through your mind. Would you have thought outside the box and thought about servants or prostitutes? The Amish society and the Medieval Iceland sagas are greatly like the Male domination roles, females submitting to their husbands or masters in this case. • 30. Female Inferiority In Mackinnon s The Yellow Wallpaper me! And ain t I a woman? I could work as much and eat as much as a man when I could get it and bear the lash as well! And ain t I a woman? (Truth) Truth s stamens recognizes women s ability and does away with gender roles created by society. It is this mindset that raises women up and puts them on level ground with men. This is not to say that women are not sexually victimized more than men, but to strictly attribute that to their physical makeup stigmatizes them as inherently inferior. This is no different than stigmatizes a person because of the color of their skin. Thus, MacKinnon s effort to eliminate sexually explicit expression that, in her view, perpetuates the concept of female inferiority, itself perpetuates the concept of female inferiority. ... Her life and wellbeing are not linked to his. Economic independence allows Delia to terminate her abuse. If he were to die, her situation could potentially get worse, as she does not have the means to provide for herself. Thus, her abuse and tourney is destined to continue. This is not to say that sex or pornography are the only ways women can or should generate an income. The examples above are meant to illustrate how significant economic self sufficient can be to female liberation. Mackinnon s stance on pornography is wrong because it would take away one of the ways women can earn a living, thus limiting their autonomy. • 31. Romeo And Juliet Balcony Scene Analysis The balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet is a well remembered scene in Romeo and Juliet. Although, there are different versions of it in different movies and plays. I m comparing the balcony scene between the original script and the 1997 movie. There are a lot of differences, with not as many similarities. It seems as a more modern day version... There are some key details in both the movie and the script. Some key details in the play are that Romeo hides in the darkness, and that he is stalking Juliet in a way. It also takes place on a balcony near the streets, [Seeing Juliet enter above on a balcony] (Act II Scene 2, Page 71) which is a lot more in older days than modern. In the movie version, some key details are that Romeo is hidden on a vine, not so much hidden though.(You can see in the 1997 movie, Romeo + Juliet, directed by Baz Luhrmann.) The setting is also on a deck and a pool. Those are some of the key details you will need to know. Now, I will explain the differences between the original script and the movie. One pretty noticable difference is that the setting is a lot different. In the script, the setting is on the balcony, and is definitely a way less modern version, almost like a cliche love scene. In the 1997 movie, the setting isn t even on a balcony, it is on a back porch with a pool. This takes away the whole cliche love scene in the original script, and as I feel takes away some of the meaning of the original. It also is a lot more modern, because there aren t as many balconies in modern day houses now, which makes sense why the didn t put one, therefore it is an older and more modern day version. Another big difference between the two is that in the script, they don t have a pool that they jump into and kiss, but in the 1997 movie they do. Romeo and Juliet go into the pool together and kiss, when in the script they talk from a distance and then meet at her balcony. I think they did this also because it was made to be more modern, but they kept more of the cliche love scene. The last difference I will talk about is in the script, romeo hides in the darkness unseen, I have the darkness to hide me from their eyes... (Act II Scene 2, page 75) while Juliet walks out onto her balcony and talks ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Literary Devices In The Epic Of Gilgamesh The author uses many literary devices in The Epic of Gilgamesh in order to describe the character of Humbaba, the one who guards the cedar forest, because he wants the reader to be just as fearful of the character as Enkidu, who is the speaker of lines 155 158 in the text. The character s fear of the ugly beast is ironic because when Enkidu dies Gilgamesh too becomes afraid to die. Another reason I chose this short passage is that the author uses imagery and foreshadowing to hint to the reader what happens later on in the epic and I believe it is essential to the poem. The author also uses repetition in order to stress the idea that Humbaba is not to be tormented. Enkidu warns Gilgamesh not to go near the forest of cedars to kill Humbaba, but Gilgamesh laughs at him and asks Enkidu why he is afraid to die all of the sudden. The paragraph I chose also prepares the reader for unforeseen events that occur later on in the epic poem, including Enkidu s death. Enkidu is weary of Gilgamesh s plan and is not in agreeance to join him initially. He questions Gilgamesh s idea about the quest to kill Humbaba. Enkidu says, How shall the likes of us go to the forest of cedars, my friend (line 155). Enkidu is not confident in his abilities to conquer Humbaba. The author includes this line to symbolize Enkidu becoming more civilized. Enkidu shows fear for someone he used to live amongst in the forest, and he is starting to realize that nature is something to be feared. Gilgamesh ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Seamus Heaney s Mid-Term Break Essay Midterm Break Interp Mid Term Break Seamus Heaney s Mid Term Break is an extremely tear jerking poem. The story begins and ends in a very depressing manner, while in between we are treated to a very vivid and blunt view of life and how it can all come to an abrupt end. While Mid Term Break does use death to grab at the reader s heart strings, the story is most likely a description of life in Heaney s native Northern Ireland, not Heaney s life, but a very general view of life in Northern Ireland, how it can all come to a screeching halt at the hands of others and for no apparent reason. The warring in Northern Ireland has cost a lot of lives and due to the staggering amount of those who have passed for their cause, it is easy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It could be interpreted that this is a representation of those leaders who lead the rebellion. Those who send others to the front, then when one of their own goes down to attack, pull back somewhat and deal with their loss, rather than continue to lend that same support to the cause. Heaney s mother coughing out angry tearless sighs, (Heaney 13) speaks as a sort of anger in those around who feel this is more of a setback to the rebellion, rather than losses that will affect families. Lines 14 15 again shows Heaney using assonance, this time in his repetition of the short a . At , ambulance , arrived , stanched , and , and bandaged (Heaney 14 15) this emphasizes the stopping short of blood and life. This death , is a very heart wrenching description of the prospect of their cause coming to an end with every wave of casualties, not so much about death of those serving, but death of the cause. In the sixth stanza, Heaney tells us, the reader, that he hadn t seen his brother for six weeks, having been away at school (Heaney 18). This could represent a sort of drift into personal loss, perhaps a loved one lost in conflict, but most likely it is more of a vague insight to, perhaps, a specific excursion in which several people left to encounter the opposing force and those survivors are just now returning. Given the mood of the piece, the survivors are badly beaten and wounded, adding to the despair felt throughout the work. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How To Kick Drum 1) I would utilize my Techno Beams #701 thru #704 with some yellow color at almost its full intensity and tilt them all the way up as I also load them with a color chase effect so that they can have this alternation pattern with each other in which all of these fixtures would open and close their dimmers as they alternate with each other, I would also play with the speed of this effect to get it as close as possible with the drummer since I think it would be a great idea if these fixtures fire up with the beat of the song as the drummer plays kicks his kick drum. 2) I would use my Mac 700 Washes #201 thru #204 to light up my stage with some cyan color and evenly distributed on both stage left and right with an intensity of 45 to create a very interesting look as I also use my Mac 700 profiles #301 thru #304 in a magenta spiral rotating gobo pattern with a very slow speed so that it goes very smooth with song as the band performs the chorus of the song. ... • 35. Summary Of Invisible Man, Hamlet, And Crime And Punishment Out of all the books we ve read this year, in my opinion Invisible Man, Hamlet, and Crime and Punishment did the best job of showing me what the world outside education was like. These books do the best job because they depict very different lives from mine: they are narrated by men, one African American, one Russian, and one Danish royalty three identities that I do not claim for myself. If we re going to learn about the world, I might as well learn about worlds other than my own (which I d say I m pretty familiar with). A common theme throughout the books I ve chosen is a problem with the binaries society presents us, whether it be racial, moral or internal. The conflicts addressed in these books often spring from a failure to find a balance, or an endeavor to find out where in the middle you belong. Crime and Punishment is a prime example of the dangers of seeing in black and white. Raskolnikov s existence is a grey area, because although he s a murderer, the reader is sort of rooting for him. To me, Crime and Punishment is about the different tones morality can take. Raskolnikov is a murderer, but to him, and maybe some of the readers, he is justified in his act. This crime doesn t define him as a moral or immoral person, that is for the reader to decide. Sonya is a similar example of the fluidity of morality, because she s a prostitute, but does so to help her family and also provides crucial moral guidance to Rodya. Although I have no moral qualms with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

New York At The Army Right Now All I Need There the 4 of us were sitting in New York at a bar when an army recruit comes over to us and says Do you want to make your country a better place? .Then he says Join the army right now all I need is your name and home address. Jack and Fred said they had wanted to sign up since kids but were scared. So we all signed the paper and gave him what he needed. We all went home in the city as normal working men that got drunk most nights out the week. After two days of signing up to join the army we were called and me, Jack, Ricky, and Fred all showed up to the airport. We were told to get on a plane to go and train at the army base when we landed. They called out that they needed more snipers and all four of us volunteered to begin training ... I crawled out in the field about ten feet and grabbed a medic pack but when I lifted it up it was empty. The next one I saw was about 15 yards away.I crawled to that medic kit and then crawled back into the wounds after I checked to see if it was full. When I tore open my shirt the wound had been much worse than I had thought.I used my other arm to reach around and feel if there was a bullet exit. I found that there was a bullet exit but it had shattered my bone and my arm was almost completely dead. I fixed it the best I could by myself and with what I had. I just wrapped the wound up. I went out looking for our camp since we had all had to remember where the camp was. I had walked for two or three miles and then night fell. I had just sat down and leaned up against a tree about to go to sleep when I saw a light coming my way. I watched it a minute and I saw that it was one of the American sniper squad named Jack. When I decided to take this course I was expecting to get an A, because I believed that Econ 120 was going to be similar to my Econ class on high school; unfortunately, it was not. Econ 120 is more challenging. The first weeks of class were easy, but as the time passes the class got harder for me and my grades on the exams dropped my overall grade on the class. 2. What is your grade before the final test? What level of performance had you been at? My actual grade before the final is almost as my expectation grade when I entered this class, I have a B with 89% without the final. I believe I had been doing good, not as I wanted it, but good. My lower level of performance is on the multiple choice part of the exam, because I had been doing good on the writing portion on the test, since I try to prepare to the best of my capacity. I think I have a good level of performance because I have turned all my assignments on time and complete. Nevertheless, my performance, decreased with the third exam. 3. ...
