PsomasFMG proposes a public-private partnership to install solar systems for municipalities to save on rising energy costs. Through this partnership, a private partner would install a 2 megawatt solar system for a municipality at no upfront cost, saving over $15 million over 30 years while reducing CO2 emissions. Federal and state subsidies currently available make the project feasible, but these subsidies are set to decline or expire by 2010. PsomasFMG would handle all aspects of the project from design to installation to maintenance for 20 years.
