This paper evaluates the performance of AODV, R-AODV, and PHR-AODV routing protocols for mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) through simulation. Results show that R-AODV improves packet delivery by 15-20% and reduces latency by approximately 50% compared to AODV and PHR-AODV, while requiring less node energy. The study highlights R-AODV's efficiency in dynamic environments and its advantage in managing energy consumption and routing overhead.
