see Hermes meet their 12–month sales target in one month in their new store in Sao Paulo (Passport,

that customers research, are influenced by and make up their minds through social channels before
deciding to buy a product or service (WARC, 2012). Meanwhile, Brazil has the highest percentage
of respondents who participate in online research or visit PCWs at least once per week (Passport,
2012). Also, there are over 70% of respondent's in Brazil that claim that, word of mouth is

(Costa, E. F., 2002, p. 63). Currently in Brazil, there has been a shift in the economy; poverty levels
and the cost of living are rising, as well as transportation costs due to the country's elaborate
spending and plans for funding for the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympics (Ghosh, 2013). Out
cries from the citizen's state that the Government of Brazil isn't spending its money anymore on the
areas that need it the most, but instead they focus on funding sports (Ghosh, 2013). History Over the
years, Brazil has undergone some major changes in its country from its economy, to its government,
the country's native language, the population (in terms of culture and size), the social and
environmental problems, etc.; but more importantly its independence from Portugal on September 7,
1822. Brazil is the only Portuguese–speaking nation in South America and about three–quarters of
all Brazilians belong to the Roman Catholic Church; others are either members of traditional
Protestant denominations, evangelical movements, or practices derived from African religions.
During the 20th century, Brazil experienced rapid urban growth; as 81% of the country's total

Marketing Communications Mix
Introduction
The purpose of this essay is to look at the Marketing Communications Mix, clearly define the
meaning of each type and show how Coca Cola, one of the biggest brands on the global market,
utilises each method.
Belch, E. and Belch A. describe Integrated Marketing Communications as "a concept of marketing
communications planning that recognizes the added value of a comprehensive plan that evaluates
the strategic roles of a variety of communication disciplines and combines these disciplines to
provide clarity, consistency and maximum communications impact".
The disciples in the marketing communications include:
 Media advertising

Consumer oriented:
Targeted on the ultimate users of a product (coupons, sampling, premiums, rebates, contests, POP
materials)
Trade oriented:
Targeted towards trade intermediaries such as retailers, wholesalers, distributors (promotion
allowances, merchandise allowances, sale contests, price deals, trade shows).
The "Coke show" sales–promotion is currently running and part of the "Coke–side–of–life" website
has been created for this promotion. This promotion encourages consumers to send in videos of
what they see as the essence of Coca–cola to be judged by professional movie producers. Coca–cola
has made use of the internet for short promotions such as the World Cup in 2006 and this new
campaign the "Coca–cola Show."
Sales Promotions Use:
– Introduce New Products
– Get existing customers to buy more
– Attract new customers
– Combat competition
– Maintain sales in off–season
– Increase retail inventories
– Tie in advertising & personal selling
– Enhance personal selling efforts
Coca–Cola uses the pull strategy in their promotion. They promote to the consumers to create the
want for their product which in turn creates a demand on the retailers and then back to them. In
supermarkets and convenience stores Coca–Cola has their own fridges which contain only their
products.

PUNT: A useful way of measuring the sophistication of a soccer crowd is to listen to their reaction
to a long punt by the goalkeeper. If they ooh! and aah! as the ball arcs downfield for 40 or 50 yards,
chances are that they don't know too much about soccer. A long punt, assessed by Mendez8football
criteria, is impressive. By soccer standards it is next to useless. As a pass, the high towering punt has
two major drawbacks: The ball is in the air too long, allowing opponents plenty of time to cover the
intended receiver, and when the ball finally does come down, the angle and the speed of its descent
make it extremely difficult for a forward to control. The defender, of course, doesn't have to control
it –– he merely heads or hoofs it back whence it came. To the reader who asks why, then, do
goalkeepers constantly punt the ball, I can only reply that it is a total mystery to me, too.REFEREE:
The person in charge. His decisions on the field are final. He (or she) starts the game and, because
under international rules he is also the official timekeeper, he (and not the scoreboard clock, should
there be one) says when it is over. No player can enter or leave the field without his consent. He
calls the fouls and has the power to caution players or to eject them from the game. He is also
responsible for seeing that the ball and the players' equipment conform to the rules. He has two
assistant referees, but their function is strictly advisory. If an assistant, for example, waves

Nike Football: World Cup 2010 South Africa
511–060 Nike Football: World Cup 2010 South Africa Nike Football revenue had grown from $40
million in 1994 to more than $1 billion in 2008. In just under 15 years, it had reached a sales level
that took some of its competitors over 50 years to achieve. Although not the end goal, the 2010
World Cup was another unique moment in time for Nike to create separation between the company
and its competitors. Edwards knew he had to seize this opportunity and pull his team together to

non–sporting shoes in 1988, with the acquisition of Cole Haan. That same year Nike unveiled their
"Just Do It" marketing campaign that, along with the iconic swoosh, helped define the brand in the
coming years. By 1990 Nike was the leader in sports shoes and apparel, and dominated running,
basketball, tennis and cross–training. In 1995 Nike moved into ice hockey with the purchase of

The opening up of these markets has provided respite to the industry and they are making good us e
of it. Already most of these firms use South Asia as their manufacturing base, to make use of the
cheaper labour, in particular. Now they have a greater incentive to move to South Asia as their
market seems to be shifting here too. MARKET ANALYSIS India has a large market for footwear
and the brand loyalty is also growing. India is ranked the 4th largest economy by GDP (in
purchasing power parity term) and is expected to rank 3rd during 2010, just being behind USA &
China in footwear industry both production and consumption. India͛ s GDP for footwear grew at the

Their leader Kim Jong–Il is viewed as almost being a deity whose methods cannot be questioned
and is always correct. The ruthless dictatorship is the main personification that is associated when
thinking of North Korea.
Introduction This report is a cultural analysis of the country of North Korea. The paper itself
analyzes the history, geography, education, language, economy, and politics of the Democratic
People's Republic of Korea known simply as: North Korea. Group 4 chose this particular country
out of curiosity and the want to find out what the nation was like. Not many facts are known about
North Korea and its shady past. This project explores everything from the difficult relationships
between the Korean people and their government, to the famines and floods that threatened the
entire survival of the country. The research has shed light on the corruption of the North Korean
government and the reign of ruthless leaders such as Kim Il Sung and his son Kim Jong Il. The
politics of North Korea have been questionable at best in the nation's history. Finally they are
making progress to renew laws that better fit into North Korean society, but the process is slow.
Change does not come to North Korea quickly. This paper will delve into the little known aspects of
North Korea. Hopefully, a better understanding of the country's characteristics can benefit both the

David Beckham David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE (born May 2, 1975) is an English footballer
born in Leytonstone, London. He is a midfielder for Real Madrid and captain of the English national
team. He is noted for the quality of his crossing and ability to hit free–kicks and corners, particularly
at long–range free–kicks and also for his marriage to a Spice Girl. He has played most of his career
for Manchester United. Although there are arguably many better current players in world football
none are as famous. Manchester United 1995–2003 Beckham first signed a YTS (youth training

His leadership, mainly by example due to his fitness and workrate helped England to qualify for the
2002 World Cup Finals and the 1–5 defeat of Germany in Munich during a qualifier (a pivotal event
for English football fans). The final step in Beckham's conversion from villain to hero happened in
England's 2–2 draw against Greece. Needing only one point from the match in order to qualify for
the World Cup, Beckham dragged an otherwise poor England side to qualification with sheer
determination and a perfectly executed, last–minute free kick. Meanwhile, taking the role of captain
seems to have helped mature him, in both skill and temperament. Beckham played in all England's
matches at Euro 2004, but failed to shine. He had his penalty saved by former Manchester United
team–mate Fabien Barthez in his side's 2–1 defeat to France in their opening group game. Then,
when England's Quarter–Final against hosts Portugal went to a penalty shootout, he was the first
England player to attempt a shot. Beckham fired his shot far over the crossbar and England went on
to lose the shoot–out 6–5 after Englishman Darius Vassell also missed. Beckham later blamed the
miss on the poor state of the pitch, the British press blamed referee

Boeing Financial Analysis
The Boeing Company was formed in 1916 by William E. Boeing in Seattle, Washington. The
following year they had a twenty eight person payroll which included pilots, carpenters, boat
builders and seamstresses. The lowest wage was fourteen cents an hour, while the company's top
pilots made two to three hundred dollars a month. When the company was short on money, William
Boeing used his own financial resources to guarantee a loan to cover all wages, which was a total of
about seven hundred a week. ("Boeing History," n.d) In 1997, they merged with McDonnell

  • 20. Descriptive Essay On Football PUNT: A useful way of measuring the sophistication of a soccer crowd is to listen to their reaction to a long punt by the goalkeeper. If they ooh! and aah! as the ball arcs downfield for 40 or 50 yards, chances are that they don't know too much about soccer. A long punt, assessed by Mendez8football criteria, is impressive. By soccer standards it is next to useless. As a pass, the high towering punt has two major drawbacks: The ball is in the air too long, allowing opponents plenty of time to cover the intended receiver, and when the ball finally does come down, the angle and the speed of its descent make it extremely difficult for a forward to control. The defender, of course, doesn't have to control it –– he merely heads or hoofs it back whence it came. To the reader who asks why, then, do goalkeepers constantly punt the ball, I can only reply that it is a total mystery to me, too.REFEREE: The person in charge. His decisions on the field are final. He (or she) starts the game and, because under international rules he is also the official timekeeper, he (and not the scoreboard clock, should there be one) says when it is over. No player can enter or leave the field without his consent. He calls the fouls and has the power to caution players or to eject them from the game. He is also responsible for seeing that the ball and the players' equipment conform to the rules. He has two assistant referees, but their function is strictly advisory. If an assistant, for example, waves ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

His leadership, mainly by example due to his fitness and workrate helped England to qualify for the 2002 World Cup Finals and the 1–5 defeat of Germany in Munich during a qualifier (a pivotal event for English football fans). The final step in Beckham's conversion from villain to hero happened in England's 2–2 draw against Greece. Needing only one point from the match in order to qualify for the World Cup, Beckham dragged an otherwise poor England side to qualification with sheer determination and a perfectly executed, last–minute free kick. Meanwhile, taking the role of captain seems to have helped mature him, in both skill and temperament. Beckham played in all England's matches at Euro 2004, but failed to shine. He had his penalty saved by former Manchester United team–mate Fabien Barthez in his side's 2–1 defeat to France in their opening group game. Then, when England's Quarter–Final against hosts Portugal went to a penalty shootout, he was the first England player to attempt a shot. Beckham fired his shot far over the crossbar and England went on to lose the shoot–out 6–5 after Englishman Darius Vassell also missed.
