A Closer Look At Your Spine
The spine is made up of 33 bones (24 are moveable-bones of
the sacrum and coccyx are fused).
The five regions of
the spine include:
Cervical (Neck),
Thoracic (Mid
Back), Lumbar (Low
Back), Sacral,
Coccyx (“tail bone”)
Between each
moveable segment
(vertebra) is a disc.
The disc keeps the
bones from rubbing
together and as
serves as a “shock
absorber”.
The spinal column forms a canal that houses and protects the
spinal cord. The spinal cord has “branches” called spinal
nerves that exit out each vertebrae.
Chiropractic adjustments restore motion back into the joint
and free the spinal nerve from any impingements.
