A boy with Down Syndrome presented with breathing difficulties after inhaling a sunflower seed. An x-ray was inconclusive so emergency bronchoscopy was performed under general anesthesia. The procedure found the sunflower seed lodged in the trachea, which was smoothly removed with forceps, resolving the breathing issues.

2. The Case
 A boy with Down Syndrome presented
with stridor and shortness of breath for a
few hours following inhalation of a
sunflower seed. CXR was inconclusive.
Emergency rigid bronchoscopy under GA
was performed. The sunflower seed was
found in the trachea. It was smoothly
removed by a foreign body forceps.
