This document provides a calendar of reading-focused activities for the 9th grade at Hialeah Gardens High School for the 2010-2011 school year. It includes dates for benchmark tests to monitor student progress, interim assessment tests, the Florida Assessment for Instruction in Reading (FAIR), and the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). Many weeks involve benchmarks related to analyzing text structure, determining themes and purpose, identifying figurative language, and making inferences. Professional development for teachers is also scheduled to focus on topics like reading fluency and analyzing FAIR assessment results.
