1. PROJECT BRIEF
The UAE Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory has
been commissioned under the mandate of the
Ministry of Energy keeping in line with the UAE
Vision 2021 to estimate the impact of the nation
on climate change. The annual update of the
UAE GHG Inventory provides the collection of
data, which is necessary to create the baseline
and evaluate the initiatives to reduce carbon
emissions across the country. The UAE GHG
Inventory also provides data that can be used to
create the National Communication document.
Dubai Carbon supported the Ministry in the
Inventory development and also enable the
capacity building within the Ministry of Energy.
The capacity building exercise will provide the
nation with a robust team that will be able to
generate the Inventory independently.
