Production Reflection

Process
• In the first few days of my project I made
the skull the water features the doors
and the grid which are the stones in the
background and then today I was giving
the stones some sort of design for the
stones in the background which I might
just make the ones near the stairs
completely black and I also made the
walking animation for the main character
and also made the main character
appropriate. (I have also made a massive
skull door piece in the middle of the
screen and I have also made a pool of
sorts and a water fall behind the skull.)
however I will have to change the walk
animation and I will have to do a lot of
shading work and create a few more
mechanics and some more maps a starter
screen and a few options to change and
maybe even some instructions on how to
play and I might also make a pro-log to
show that there is or might be some kind
of story to it.
Process
• Start screen stalactites in the
foreground and background,
doors, stairs and also the play
sign and manual sign and then
there is the banisters for the
stairs and also a path towards
the doors and the black line
just above the stairs will be
changed and it is supposed to
be the light coming from the
door and also the human with
the where’s wally kind of
armour, a cape and a helmet. I
have also started some sort of
shading with the rocks at the
top and bottom of the page I
will be improving on this at
some point in the future.
Process
• I created some concept art for
what the enemies of the main
character could look like I have
almost finished off the start
screen with an extra bit of shading
however it still feels very awkward
as all of the areas just get cut off
in straight lines and I have made
an instructions scene which will all
be animated in some way or
another there are only about four
enemies there that I could actually
use the mage, the ball of darkness
and the starite sort of looking
thing, I don’t know why but I
really like the enemies that look
like a childs scribbles. I have also
made the walking animation
better however it could still use
some work.
Process
Process
I have started to animate it all together
with a new running and walking animation
and adding a few small little bits and bobs
such as the new manual and play buttons
lighting up when you go through the door
but yeah I really like how it has come out
so far apart from the foam in the water I
plan to create another room and add more
enemies and their attacks so all I really
have to do now is to create some
movement animations for the enemies and
their attacks make some music and sound
effects and then that is pretty much it all
wrapped up.
Process
• I created one part of my music
which was for the main game I also
created an attack for the enemy
sorcerer which I was trying to
make look like a ball of lightning or
energy and when it hits it forms a
cylinder around the main character
and envelopes them with lightning
killing them in a single blow I also
made a hasty end game page
which I really should have at least
put something in the background
of it and the V on leave looks
terrible and I have animated the
water falling and the attack
movements and bobs of the
sorcerers head and I still need to
do some shading around the skull
and maybe do a lot more shading
in the entrance to the game.
Process
• I have created more music (around
7pieces) to see which ones work out
best in which places and I also
created some sound effects for
walking the lightning the death noise
and some door opening noises and
some water falling noises all I have
to do now is a tiny bit of shading on
both the skull and the wall at the
beginning and then I made the
whole project larger to about 1080p
and I think 720p and then I put it all
into Premiere put it in order and so
all I have to do is tidy it up a little
and export it. However once I had
exported it I had enlarged and tried
to change it a bunch of times which I
didn't’t know didn't work so my
background on one of the pages
doesn’t look quite right.
Process contd.
Process
• I have completed the project by tidying up the audio
and matching up the sound effects as well as I could to
the animation I also added some effects to the sounds
even if it was just fades and volume changes I also
added a walking sound effect, doors opening and
closing sound effect and a water fall sound effect it is
pretty much complete if I had had enough time I
probably would have added some more screens some
more enemies and a prologue of sorts to show you
how you arrived at the play screen I also would have
done a better job at synching up the animation and
sound effects.
