The posterior compartment of the thigh contains the hamstring muscles (biceps femoris, semitendinosus, semimembranosus, and part of the adductor magnus), which are supplied by branches from the sciatic nerve. It also contains cutaneous nerves that innervate the skin (medial, posterior, and lateral cutaneous nerves) and veins that drain into the great and small saphenous veins. The blood supply comes from branches of the profunda femoris artery and drains into the profunda femoris vein.
Branches/roots from L4-L5-S1 join and become superior gluteal nerve giving motor supply to abductor muscle of gluteus medius and gluteus minimus
Branches/roots from L5-S1-S2 join and form inferior gluteal nerve giving motor supply to gluteus maximus, this muscle has 2 function for extension and external rotation of the hip

Thigh - Anterior Compartment Anatomy contains many muscles and important Triangle the Femoral triangle. This slide gives you a diagramatic representation of the Ant.Compt and also Apllied anatomy facilitating Integrated Teaching.
In human anatomy, the thigh is the area between the hip (pelvis) and the knee. Anatomically, it is part of the lower limb. The single bone in the thigh is called the femur.
USMLE MSK L011 Lower 09 Anatomical regions of lower limb.pdfAHMED ASHOUR
The lower limb is divided into several anatomical regions, each with its own set of bones, muscles, nerves, and blood vessels. Understanding these regions is essential for studying the anatomy and function of the lower extremity. These anatomical regions collectively contribute to the overall structure and function of the lower limb, allowing for various movements, weight- bearing, and activities such as walking, running, and standing. Studying the anatomy of the lower limb is crucial for healthcare professionals, anatomists, and individuals in fields such as orthopedics, sports medicine, and physical therapy.

How to Make a Field invisible in Odoo 17Celine George
It is possible to hide or invisible some fields in odoo. Commonly using “invisible” attribute in the field definition to invisible the fields. This slide will show how to make a field invisible in odoo 17.
Instructions for Submissions thorugh G- Classroom.pptxJheel Barad
This presentation provides a briefing on how to upload submissions and documents in Google Classroom. It was prepared as part of an orientation for new Sainik School in-service teacher trainees. As a training officer, my goal is to ensure that you are comfortable and proficient with this essential tool for managing assignments and fostering student engagement.
This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
2. Posterior Compartment of the Thigh
Cutaneous innervations
The medial cutaneous nerve
of the thigh on the medial
side
Posterior cutaneous nerve of
the thigh on the middle
Lateral cutaneous nerve of
the thigh on the lateral
side
3. Superficial Veins
■ Many small veins curve around the medial and
lateral aspects of the thigh drain into the
great saphenous vein.
■ Superficial veins from the lower part of the
back of the thigh join the small saphenous
vein in the popliteal fossa.
Lymph Vessels
■ Lymph from the skin and superficial fascia on
the back of the thigh drains upward and
forward into the vertical group of superficial
inguinal lymph nodes
4. Contents of the Posterior
Compartment of the Thigh
■ Muscles (hamstring muscles):
Biceps femoris, semitendinosus,
semimembranosus, and ischial part of the
adductor magnus
■ Blood supply:
Branches of the profunda femoris artery
■ Nerve supply: Sciatic nerve
6. Biceps Femoris
Origin:
Long head: lower medial part of
the upper area of the ischial
tuberosity.
Short head: lower part of the
linea aspera and lateral supra-
condylar ridge of femur.
Insertion:
The head of the fibula (the styloid
process of the fibula).
Nerve Supply: Sciatic nerve.
Action: Flexion and lateral
rotation of the leg.
Long head extends the thigh.
7.
8. Semitendinosus
Origin:
Lower medial part of the upper area of the
ischial tuberosity with long head of biceps.
Insertion:
Upper part of the medial surface of the
shaft of the tibia behind the sartorius and
gracilis.
Nerve Supply: Sciatic nerve.
Action:
Flexion and medial rotation of the leg.
Extension of the thigh.
9. Semimembranosus
Origin:
Upper lateral part of the upper area of the ischial
tuberosity.
Insertion:
Posteromedial surface of the medial condyle of
the tibia.
Nerve Supply:
Sciatic nerve.
Action:
Flexion and medial rotation of the leg.
Extension of the thigh.
10.
11. Ischial part of the adductor Magnus
Origin:
from the lateral part of
the lower area of the
ischial tuberosity.
Insertion:
Adductor tubercle of the
femur.
Nerve Supply:
Sciatic nerve.
Action:
Extension of the thigh.
12. Blood Supply
■ The four perforating branches of the
profunda femoris artery provide a rich
blood supply to the posterior
compartment of the thigh.
■ The profunda femoris vein drains the
greater part of the blood from the
compartment.
13. Nerve Supply
■ Sciatic Nerve
■ The sciatic nerve, a branch of the sacral plexus (L4 and 5; S1,
2, and 3), leaves the gluteal region as it descends in the
midline of the thigh.
■ In the lower third of the thigh it ends by dividing into the tibial
and common peroneal nerves
■ It gives muscular branches to the long head of the biceps
femoris, the semitendinosus, the semimembranosus, and the
hamstring part of the adductor magnus. These branches arise
from the tibial component of the sciatic nerve and run medially
to supply the muscles
■ The short head of biceps femoris supplied by branches arises
from the common peroneal nerve
