The document discusses the challenges of planning missions for the TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X satellites. It describes how the Mission Planning System had to be enhanced to handle planning for two satellites with different missions. Risks like mutual illumination and sync warnings between the satellites are considered. The system was tested during commissioning phases and is now operating fully automatically.
