This document discusses using 4D modeling software to help solve common management problems for large construction projects. 1. How to solve the management problems by using the fourth dimension (4D)
We often we are exposed to the problems and work pressure Significantly during and even after the
completion of the work schedule using project management software M.S Project Or Primavera, and in
order to solve these problems used to take us time Long and extra cost, and can unfortunately be then
neglected or even abolish We planned for it.
We will mention the most important problems facing the majority of the projects
*** During the planning process for large projects :
1) Can not be aware of all executive business details accurately in the project, so we discuss the
site engineers and they take us a long time, even aware of the details
2) failure to exploitation well for natural path and float found positive for some tasks, especially in
there is a project in which many works of art and unconventional similar projects previously
implemented.
3) Not easily the ability to put 100% schedule accurate and clear, especially for Many tasks
*** During the execution process for large projects:
1. The schedule is often neglected from the beginning of execution of the project by some of the
architects of the site, especially in the event of sudden changes
2. Owner wants new amendments violation of shop drawing plans, as a result of lack of
realized from the beginning the details of implementation of the project well ,resulting in a

2. modified schedule by the contractor, and here begins conflicts in order to justify the
length of time for the delay and financial claims caused by amendments
So we are now, an urgent need to resolve these problems,
What is the solution ?
Came BIM (Building Information Modeling) to provide solutions to most of the problems that
we are all from the beginning idea and feasibility study even handed over to the owner and he
invests it.
It is important dimensions (4D) simulation project schedule and the most famous (4D) software
(Navisworks , Synchro)
We have work experience on a project to know what are the point of the (4D) dimension
Using the Navisworks software :
1. Simulation of Health sequence of tasks in the project, and their interaction with each
other.
2. Comparative bin several different scenarios on schedule, if we want to increase the period
of time for the task Particular, what is the impact on the tasks associated with them, and
also help us to know if we are to change the Sequence or overlapping some tasks, what
will happen ! .
3. They noted in the picture if we want to know for example in the history of the day
Sunday, 22/05/2015, what rates of execution planned which must be some tasks before
starting implementation, which will help us to implement it through the specific tasks of
the time.
