This document summarizes a research paper on the design and development of a complementary symmetry E-slot rectangular microstrip antenna for triple band operation. The antenna is designed to operate between 5.39-8.87 GHz with a maximum bandwidth of 17.5% and peak gain of 2.84 dB. It uses a simple, low-cost glass epoxy substrate and microstripline feed arrangement. Both simulated and experimental results show the antenna achieves triple band operation through the use of complementary symmetry E-slots on the patch. The antenna exhibits broadside radiation characteristics and may find applications for wireless systems operating in the IEEE 802.11a and C-band frequencies.
