2. NOUN A word that names a person, place, a thing or an idea.
Everything which has a name and we talk about it is a
noun. Everything is donated by a name and that naming
word is called a “noun”.
• Person- uncle, doctor, baby
• Place- kitchen, mountain, website
• Thing- apple, tulip, book
• Idea- respect, pride, love, appreciation

4. NOUN There are different ways to turn singular
nouns into plural nouns.
1. Add –s to form the plural
cat ⇒ cats
truck ⇒ trucks
bug ⇒ bugs

5. NOUN . Nouns that end in -s, -sh, -x, -ch, or –z
Add -es to form the plural. For words that end in -z, add
an extra -z before the es.

Some nouns ending in f or fe just add s.
Sometimes it is necessary to change the f to a v. In that
case, always end the word with es.

can show possession, ownership, or the general
relationship between two nouns
Add an apostrophe (‘) and –s to form the possessive of
