WHAT KIND OF MEDIA INSTITUTION MIGHT
DISTRIBUTE YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT AND WHY?
For our opening we decided to use a
  brand new production company. JAW
films is a reflection of the three people
  who produced the sequence, Jemma,
Agata and Will respectively. It is short
and simple and people will be able to
  associate and remember the
  production name with Z Diary.
WHAT DOES A PRODUCTION COMPANY DO?

The production company is usually
responsible for the financing the making
of the film and setting deadlines and
handling budgets. They also often deal
with getting the crew together for the
film and help find the right actors and
  cameramen. The production company is
often run buy the producer and director.
IDEAS FOR THE DISTRIBUTOR
Initially we thought it might be good if 20th century fox to distribute our film,
but we soon realised as being first time producers we are not likely to
be able to get a deal with them, we did a little more research and came
up with the conclusion that either Film4 or Working Title would be ideal.
Preferably working title as they have links with Universal Pictures.
FUNDING
The funding for our film, being a first time
production, is most likely to come from a
company such as Film4 or Studio Canal.
CREDITS
The credits of our film in the opening sequence mention,
every major role within the film. Such as producer, editor,
actors with main roles and so on. We had some issues
with placing the credits, as there is a boundary of where
you can place the credits on final cut pro, also we did not
want the credits to take away from the impact of the
zombies. We also used some of the credits to fill the dead
space within the frame. We also enlarged the title of the
film to make it more memorable to the audience and to
  dominate the frame.
INSTITUTIONALLY SIMILAR FILMS.

Any film with a zombie relation, such as
Shaun of the Dead, even though this is a
 comedy film. Also stereotypical zombie
horror films such as 28 weeks later.
