Case Study Of Pan De Sal
MARKET STUDY Market has always been the most important thing in business. Without a market, products will not be bought and businesses will
not earn profit. The purpose of a market feasibility study is to determine the suitability of a product or product mix to a given geographical area. It
defines the optimal product mix based on the projected market demand, and it also project sales absorption. To determine the project's viability, it is
necessary to analyze the demand and supply analysis of the product. Demand and supply analysis will give an overview to the project's future
potentiality.
Demand Analysis The primary determinant for the demand of pan de sal is the target market, using a review of the target municipalities' population....

The pricing of the products of the proponents are: P2.00 for classic pan de sal, P5.00 for flavored pan de sal, P6.00 for hotdog stuffed pan de sal
and ham & cheese stuffed pan de sal while corned beef stuffed pan de sal is P7.00. For pizza pan, P8.00 for the plain cheese pizza pan while
P10.00 for the hawaiian pizza pan and ham & cheese pizza pan. The pan de sal that the proponents are going to sell is distinct from the competitor's
product because they only sell the typical pan de sal, while the proponents proposed to sell flavored pan de sal and other variations of pan de sal. In
connection with this, the competitors make use of old equipment to produce quality goods, some of them are practicing new marketing strategies like,
producing and selling of pan de sal at night and open 24/7.
As a first timer in the business industry, the term of sales would be on cash basis only. On the first quarter of the business, the proponents are planning

Top Ten Stories : Summer 2016
Ben Stefadu Mrs. Nagi 2nd Hour Top Ten Stories: Summer 2016 Brexit: At the end of June, Great Britain made the decision to leave the European
Union. A referendum was held where more than 70 percent of the UK voted(more than 30 million people). It resulted in a 52 to 48 percent win for
those in favor of leaving. When dividing the United Kingdom into its sovereign states the division can be seen clearly: England and Wales voted
strongly for Brexit, while Northern Ireland and Scotland backed up staying in the EU. Following the decision to leave the European Union, Prime
Minister David Cameron resigned his position and British politics went went into chaos. Although the economy was expected to drop it was able to
withstand the effect of the decision. However, the pound has dropped to its lowest point in three decades, 1.28. As well as affecting the pound, Brexit
has affected Great Britain socially in regards to immigration. In this new environment, some immigrants have reported that they have stopped speaking
their native tongue in public. Mothers are worried about their children being bullied at school. Younger immigrants say they fear discrimination over
jobs and educational opportunities. The negative effects of Brexit have already began to show as nativist sentiment increases and the pound continues
to lose value. It is safe to say that this referendum will be marked in history as it continues to change Britain in the future. Bastille Day Terror Attack:

Introduction To Progress From Prior Month 's Report Essay
Summary of Progress from Prior Month 's Report
On April 1, 2016, 81 assets in the MABS trust were added to the oversight population. The population of active assets included in the oversight
project as of April 30, 2016 was 88. As of October 31, 2016, there were 59 active assets included in the project.
Days in REO for active assets increased to 231 days in October 2016 compared to 214 days in September 2016
When removing the 1 Rhode Island asset ("original" population addressed in more detail below), Days in REO for active assets declined to 198 days
As of October 31, 2016, 24 assets in the REO oversight population had more than 200 Days in REO. 5 of these are from the "original" population and
19 are from the MABS population
Compared to the "original" population, the MABS assets are more geographically disbursed and were not as heavily concentrated in states with an
extended redemption timeline (e.g., Nevada, Michigan and Minnesota) or located in states with extended timelines for confirmation/ratification or
states with extended timelines for the foreclosure deed recordation (e.g., New York, Illinois, Maryland). However, since MABS moved to the project,
RMS has noticed an increase in concentrations in these higher timeline states. In addition, MABS has a high percentage of loans that have been in
REO for less than 100 days, with 14 of 41 remaining MABS assets (34%) having less than 100 days in inventory.

Google Glass: A Poorly Designed and Distracting Augmented Reality Device
According to the New York Times, from the time of it's release in 2012, Google Glass went from being the hottest new wearable technology item, to
one that users complained about and didn't really see a use for (Bilton, 2015). Google Glass is an augmented reality device, which refers to virtual
representations super imposed on physical objects or locations, that is primarily used by early adopters, deemed by Google as "Glass Explorers",
which allows for access of text messages, directions, and even the use of a camera (Fox, 2016; Glass Explorers, 2015). According to the Technology
Acceptance Model, adoption of a product can be predicted by two factors. The first factor is the perceived usefulness of the product, which
depends on the person, and the second factor is the perceived ease of use of the product (Fox, 2016). Google Glass was removed from shelves in
2015, indicating that it was not necessarily perceived as useful or easy to use. Because of it's complicated, confusing and unattractive design with
unnatural mapping, as well as its risk as a distraction, Google Glass is not a well–designed product.
The first thing we noticed after opening the Google Glass box was the lack of directions that came along with the product. We were surprised to find
just a small piece of cardboard with a few "simple" steps. When we removed the glasses frame from the box, we

Replacing Human Workforce Abstract In today's workforce, there is a silent fear lurking amongst blue and white collar workers alike. There is a
worldwide threat of machines beating people out of jobs that many have invested time and money to acquire. As leaders and positions of
management we are the soothsayers to those masses. What can we as leaders be prepared to do to satiate the worried minds of the ones that
depend on the existence of these positions? Would it be more detrimental or beneficial to society to reduce the human workforce and put so many

The Goals For 2016 Is Focused On Increasing Shareholder Value

"Shareholder value. Our goals for 2016 are primarily focused on increasing shareholder value."
As I watched many of my colleagues being escorted out of the building on a Wednesday morning in March 2016, my thoughts wandered back to those
words spoken at our most recent employee forum from the previous month. Our CEO was on his annual tour of the country speaking to thousands of
employees along the way. The message was a positive one. Success in2015! Projects completed, money saved, and improved customer satisfaction. All
of these accomplishments made possible by the innovative and hardworking staff working both behind the scenes and on the frontlines. Now, it was
time for new challenges. The message was clear as our CEO transitioned his discussion from our past achievements to our future goals, "We are
focusing on shareholder value".
My phone rang. It was my young, now former, colleague. He had left some personal items behind but he was no longer permitted to enter the building.
I grabbed his items and headed out of the building to meet up with him. When we spoke, he struggled to hold back tears as he explained that Human
Resources and Management indicated that in a cost–saving effort, our head office had decided to reduce staffing by 1/3rd. Truth be told, he was one
of the hardest working employees in the department. But the decision was made at a very high level and wasn't

Coli And The General Mills Outbreak Essay
Introduction to E. Coli and the General Mills Outbreak.
After reports of foodborne illnesses were observed from December 21, 2015 to September 5, 2016, the FDA initiated investigations which led to a
trace back to the source of the outbreak which were various flours manufactured by General Mills. After the trace back, in May 2016, General Mills led
a voluntary recall of its flour due to the presence of pathogens E. coli O121 and E. coli O26.
E. coli O121 and O26 are toxin–producing Shiga–toxigenic Escherichia coli (STEC) that are gram–negative and rod–shaped as can be seen in figure 1
below. Although most E. coli are harmless and are found naturally in the gastrointestinal tracts of mammals, however, E. coli O121 and O26 are
pathogenic, meaning they can cause illness.
Figure 1: Microbial Structure of a general E. coli bacteria.
According to the bad bug book, the incubation period for these pathogens range from 2 to 8 days after consumption of the contaminated product. After
consumption, symptoms such as diarrhea and abdominal cramps develop which are often overcome by healthy adults within a week. However, the
most susceptible and vulnerable of the population, immunocompromised people, may experience more severe consequences such as hemolytic uremic
syndrome (HUS).
In this particular case, due to the nature of the product, the long shelf life of flour and the tendency for consumers to store the product for long periods
before consumption, it is most likely that

Risk Management At Rio Olympics 2016 Essay
Abstract
Brazilians welcomed the long–awaited decision of making Rio de Janeiro the host of the 2016 Olympic Games with tremendous excitement. Although
Rio's fantastic natural beauty added to its attraction in hosting the games, its alarming rates of public health and security issues immediately triggered
worldwide criticism. This makes the stakes very high when hosting the Olympic Games.
This paper examines the process of risk assessment and risk response in relation Rio Olympics 2016. The paper explores the consensus that
Brazilians will be more equipped to address actions taken by organized crime capable of affecting the Olympic Games than to face a terrorist attack.
The paper further explores criticisms and assesses Rio's ability to prepare for this important event.

Should Voting Be An Informed Voter?
Many may concede that voting (I am choosing this example) is a civic duty; however, researching the candidate you vote for is necessary to be an
informed voter. I would include that as an obvious corollary to the basic duty. However, one shouldn't conclude that voters with whom one disagrees
are necessarily ignorant and uninformed. I'd much rather have an apathetic non–voter than an apathetic voter. I am not talking here about people who
don't vote on principle, but for people who are not voting because they have no interest in political social issues. We overcome apathy by staying
informed. Reading a local newspaper, following social media, or watching the news on television helps to build the connective tissue between us and
helps to reinforce the words in the Constitution that "We the People" matter; that we are indeed a "we" and are all in this together; thereby, that "we"
are responsible for speaking up in the face of injustice.
In regard to gathering information or transparency, the 2016 election process taught us that the mainstream media were no longer the watchdogs that
we rely on for uncovering errors and wrongdoings by those who have power; ergo, journalists climbed into bed with those they are supposed to be
watching. Apparently, many in the media are grappling with their own souls and journalistic integrity. Recently, Obama accused FOX News for the
Democratic Presidential defeat stating that, "Fox news in every bar and restaurant in big chunks of the

Positive Effect Of Jefmono Go

Health issues such as depression and social anxiety by promoting physical activity which releases serotonin which is known to release 'feel good'

psychological and physical health in such areas as depression, anxiety, PTSD, also in combating chronic pain and to improve rehabilitation after a

Moreover, regulators cannot afford to prevent these leaks, as they are underfunded (Becker, 2016; Groeger, 2012). In other words, leaks from DAPL are
extremely likely.
This lack of regulatory funding not only increases the chances that leaks will happen as, for example, pipelines degrade over time, but it also puts the
burden on companies to self–regulate, thus leading to underreporting or not reporting incidents (Becker, 2016; Groeger, 2012). This lack of reporting
might increase the chances that people consume oil–polluted water following a spill or leak, possibly endangering public health–– though these health
impacts often go unmeasured according to Dara O'Rourke and Sara Connolly (2003, p. 601). Furthermore, while companies stay silent to avoid
being fined or penalized, any other environmental degradation might continue as well. This situation is not simply predictable; it has happened, as
recently as 2013 in North Dakota when Tesoro "spilled more than 20,000 barrels of crude oil in a wheat field in Tioga" (Becker, p. 21) and went
undetected over eleven days (Bell, 2014, p. 14). Dara O'Rourke and Sara Connolly point out that in part because pipelines are "highly prone to
corrosion" (2003, p. 601), these undetected leaks and small spills are common and cumulative (p. 598). Note that this funding problem, which weakens
enforcement of reporting requirements, is likely to worsen with this next

alongside society. The mindset of the world today has caused people to reject traditional holiday vacations for new experiences. These new
experiences can range anywhere from going to exotic places like Jamaica to Greece to just staying home. There is a reason for all of this change,
such as the lack of financial stability, the increase in technology and social media, and different kinds of people with their diverse views.
Traveling is expensive, and financial issues have begun to cause the downfall of most vacations. People cannot afford to go and see their family, so
they stay home on "vacations" known as staycations. These staycations are a new experience for a lot of people because they are not going anywhere
on their vacation time, which is unusual for them. One reason for this is that student loans have gone up tremendously in recent years and before
people can worry about going on vacation, they must pay back these debts. These loans can last a lifetime, and instead of worrying about them forever
they postpone their vacations, so

The For The Cash Rate Unchanged At 2.0 % Essay
At its meeting today, the Board decided to leave the cash rate unchanged at 2.0%.
The Board's decision is based on the following conditions. According to the January 2016 World Economic Outlook (WEO) , the growth rate is 3.1%
in 2015, which is less than the forecast in 2016 (3.4%) and 2017(3.6%). It is apparent that the global economy is slightly dipped and the economic
recovery is predicted to be moderated in 2016. Besides, the surplus supply in the oil market possibly be moderated and the members noticed the World
Bank adjusted the predicted oil price in 2016 from $37 per barrel to $41 per barrel , which may drive a growth of the inflation rate. The World Bank
also pointed out that in February, the reduction forecast in metals prices is 8.2%, less than the prediction in January (10.2%)5. It is inimical to
Australia, which is rich in mineral resources.
Moreover, since China is the largest export market of Australia, its slowdown of growth probably influences the trade with Australia. At2015, China's
GDP increasing rate was 6.9% and reached the bottom at 6.7% in the first quarter of 2016 . Some trade with Australia, such as iron ore, base metals
and coal, may be affected by this reduction. As a result, we cannot deny that the cash rate may be influenced by the possible drop in the future.
However, the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed by China and Australia entered into force on 20 December 2015 . Due to the agreement, over 86%
of Australia's goods that export to China

–LOCATION VS VIRTUAL
GROUPS Introduction Co–location is an approach to team building that employs the strategy of placing team members in the same place for the
purpose of improving their performance as a team. This strategy uses the benefit of a face–to–face interaction to build up a team relationship, sharpen
communications and generally increase productivity. A Co–located team, work together in a team room (the Big room), their focus may range from
improving on a design quality, curbing errors, and working towards a positive outcome in the projects. (A. Porter, 2016) Virtual Team on the other hand
is a group of people working across time, space, and organizational boundaries which communication links are strengthened by the internet. It should be
noted that virtual teams can also mean individuals spread across different cultures and languages. ("Virtual Team– Origin, Definition and its Scope,"

objective, holding one another mutually accountable. The following are advantages of a Co–located group: A Co–located group has the advantage of

This report will investigate the USA blizzard of 2016 and about how it was caused, the social, environmental and economic impacts that is cause and
how the disaster was managed. The report will make recommendations for the future management of blizzards.
1.2 Background
A blizzard is a type of atmospheric hazard and is a long–lasting snow storm with intense snowfall and strong winds. For a blizzard to form, warm air
rising and moister is needed to create clouds for precipitation to occur. Aswind moves across a body of water (ocean, lake), some of the water
evaporates, putting water vapour into the air. Warm air rises over cold air by winds pulling the cold air towards the equator from the North and South

Case Study : ' A Local Golf Course And Shop '

Final Project
Case
Review. Harrison Kirby, who runs a local golf course and shop, first contacted me because of an interest in having a website for his golf shop.
Although he knew what he wanted in a website, he was unsure of how to best make it happen. Communication, product information, accepting orders,
payments, shipping, and more were all a priority. E–commerce as well as scheduling tee times are both the overall goal. I decided that a website which
creates custom designs dedicated to golf shops, CyberGolf, would be an excellent choice for him.
Assuming Harrison took my advice, IT will play a huge role in his golf business. A site such as CyberGolf will be a game changer for him. It includes
everything he is looking for including e–commerce, scheduling tee times, e–mail for communication, affordability and simplicity. (CyberGolf, n.d.)
Customers will be able to easily search for products, purchase them online, and he can then ship the product or the customer can pick it up at his store.
His website will make sure that his golf shop is always open, always available, and he has access to reaching more customers. (LeChat, n.d.) In case of
confusion, Harrison has access to tips, training, and support. (CyberGolf, n.d.)
Competing Company. A similar shop to Harrison's, PGA Tour Superstore, has taken advantage of what e
–commerce has to offer. This website provides

Our Goals For 2016 Are Focused On Increasing Shareholder...
The message was clear as our CEO ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Surely if it was attached to a name, they wouldn't have let my colleague go. If it was attached to a name, they would have remembered that he took a
lower paying position with the company just over one year ago because management convinced him it was a more stable, longer–term position. They
would have known that he had finally saved enough and just bought his first home one month prior. They would have known that he takes care of his
elderly mother. If it was attached to a name they would have known that he came to Canada to find a better life and was in the middle of a two–year
application process to sponsor his wife to move to Canada. But they didn't know. How could they know? He was one of tens of thousands of
employees. By outsourcing some of the work to a firm from China, the company could potentially save millions of dollars in Operating Expenses. At
the end of the day, really, management was making a calculated decision to place "shareholder value" over the value of their employees.
This is a challenge with being a manager in the world of globalization. When making decisions, it's tempting to not attach names, to not attach faces,
and to get caught wearing blinders with your gaze solely focused on bottom line figures. To be fair, top level managers are primarily judged on their
ability to improve profitability. If they can't deliver financial success, they will most likely not be a top level manager for very long. Globalization is a

The Next Factor Of Public Opinion
The next factor involved was public opinion. Many were for campus carry because they felt as if they had a "fundamental right" to be able to carry
("Strickland,"2016). Several students and faculty helped shape public opinion by describing how it would make their college experience a "safe and
better" one ("Fernandez," 2015). Many Texas residents believed that if they were allowed to carry they could then "prevent mass shooting"
("Fernandez," 2015). This was a main argument of public opinion. Though many were against campus carry the ones for it worked together to help
change the minds of people who did not believe that guns should be on campus. They did this by describing that the number of students who would
actually carry on campus would "be small" and it would be "older community college students" ("Fernandez," 2015). Public opinion also helped the bill
pass because Texas is a conservative state with "850,000 license holders" ("Fernandez," 2015). They wanted to make the public happy by passing the
bill because the number of people for it outweighed the ones against it. The opinion of people such as the "university's chief of police" spoke out about
not being worried because it never had "been an issue" ("Fernandez," 2015). Students believed they had a right to "self–preservation" and should be
allowed to carry ("Strickland,"2016). In the end Governor Greg aAbbott had listened to people wanting to be allowed to carry on campus and decided
he would make the public happy

Social Media
"Tweet that!! Post that pic on Instagram!! Slide in my DMs!!! Add me on Snapchat!!!" These are the phrases our generation love to use when we try
to interact with one another. Social media is a great way to open up opportunities and can assist us with getting our merchandise/business/art promoted
or advertised for the world to see. However, there are numerous ways that social media can ruin people's reputation/careers/future in getting a job.
Today I am going to provide the positive and negative features of social media.
"Social networks are successful because they offer widespread participation, but at the same time, they open their users up to unnecessarily dangerous
exposure." (Herring, Mark Y.. Social Media and the Good Life: Do They Connect? Jefferson NC: McFarland,2015. ProQuest ebrary. Web. 10
September 2016.). Social media (sometimes defined as social network/networks) can be used to promote your ideas. Promoting your ideas through
social media is a great way your voice to be heard by millions of other users using the same social media you use every day. Promoting may get you
discovered by celebrities/authors/people who are looking for good marketing. However, some ideas/opinions you choose to express may cause an

Paris Agreement without the United States of America: Impact on Indonesia
STATEMENT OF RESEARCH PROBLEM:
Paris Agreement as the successor of climate change agreement after Kyoto Protocol is a milestone of a significant coordination between developed and
developing countries in anticipating the threat of climate change. However, the withdrawal of the United States from this treaty after signing and
ratifying it in 2016 could impact the implementation of the agreement, particularly on the process of in developing countries, one of which is

Until August 2017, 159 parties of 195 countries that adopt the Paris Agreement have ratify this agreement, including United States of America and
Indonesia.
The United States of America as a developed country and also the second most polluter country have sign the Paris Agreement on 22 April 2016 and
ratify it on 3 September 2016. Since the United States of America join the Paris Agreement, its Nationally Determined Contribution has a target to
reduce greenhouse gas emission by 26–28% below the emission level on 2005 in 2025. As a developed country, based on Article 9 of the Paris
Agreement that mention the developed countries should provide financial resources to assist the developing countries to meet their goals in countering
the climate change, the United States of America also submitted a commitment of US$3000 million as part of the Green Climate Fund. Indonesia is an
archipelago state with the second longest and low beach in the world and also a tropical country with vast forest and peatlands, thus make Indonesia
vulnerable to climate change. Regarding these circumstances, Indonesia has a high concern on climate change agreement such as the Kyoto Protocol

Agreement goals, Indonesia submitted the Intended Nationally Determined Contribution which mention the commitment of the Government of

This study's finished product will also serve as the springboard for the government to establish a Department of Natural Resources and Environmental
Management since it is my belief co–management is intertwined with the establishment of this department in order to sustain the peace and national
development initiatives in post–conflict Liberia. The views of these participants, particularly those from Liberia, will also set the structure of the
Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management. This data will also be used to determine whether or not it is plausible to establish
such a department in Liberia. I will travel to Liberia, Guinea, and/or Tanzania using Guinea's co–management of forest resources as a case study or
Tanzania's forest conservation group's strategies that were used to rescue the forests from charcoal producers.
Implications
This study will serve as a new approach of conflict resolution between the local communities and the national government in Liberia. It could also serve
as a practical approach to bridge the gap of distrust and lack of faith in government's institutions between the young people of Liberia and their national
government. It could also help to educate rural communities about conflict resolution and forest resource management and pave the way to incorporate
the teaching of forest and environmental sciences into high school's curriculum throughout the country. Besides these benefits, this study could serve

A referendum was held where more than 70 percent of the UK voted(more than 30 million people). It resulted in a 52 to 48 percent win for those in favor of leaving. When dividing the United Kingdom into its sovereign states the division can be seen clearly: England and Wales voted strongly for Brexit, while Northern Ireland and Scotland backed up staying in the EU. Following the decision to leave the European Union, Prime Minister David Cameron resigned his position and British politics went went into chaos. Although the economy was expected to drop it was able to withstand the effect of the decision. However, the pound has dropped to its lowest point in three decades, 1.28. As well as affecting the pound, Brexit has affected Great Britain socially in regards to immigration. In this new environment, some immigrants have reported that they have stopped speaking their native tongue in public. Mothers are worried about their children being bullied at school. Younger immigrants say they fear discrimination over jobs and educational opportunities. The negative effects of Brexit have already began to show as nativist sentiment increases and the pound continues to lose value. It is safe to say that this referendum will be marked in history as it continues to change Britain in the future. Bastille Day Terror Attack: Terrorist ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The population of active assets included in the oversight project as of April 30, 2016 was 88. As of October 31, 2016, there were 59 active assets included in the project. Days in REO for active assets increased to 231 days in October 2016 compared to 214 days in September 2016 When removing the 1 Rhode Island asset ("original" population addressed in more detail below), Days in REO for active assets declined to 198 days As of October 31, 2016, 24 assets in the REO oversight population had more than 200 Days in REO. 5 of these are from the "original" population and 19 are from the MABS population Compared to the "original" population, the MABS assets are more geographically disbursed and were not as heavily concentrated in states with an extended redemption timeline (e.g., Nevada, Michigan and Minnesota) or located in states with extended timelines for confirmation/ratification or states with extended timelines for the foreclosure deed recordation (e.g., New York, Illinois, Maryland). • 11. Google Glass : A Poorly Designed And Distracting Augmented... Emma Duncliffe COMM 3545 November 3, 2016 Google Glass: A Poorly Designed and Distracting Augmented Reality Device According to the New York Times, from the time of it's release in 2012, Google Glass went from being the hottest new wearable technology item, to one that users complained about and didn't really see a use for (Bilton, 2015). Google Glass is an augmented reality device, which refers to virtual representations super imposed on physical objects or locations, that is primarily used by early adopters, deemed by Google as "Glass Explorers", which allows for access of text messages, directions, and even the use of a camera (Fox, 2016; Glass Explorers, 2015). According to the Technology Acceptance Model, adoption of a product can be predicted by two factors. The first factor is the perceived usefulness of the product, which depends on the person, and the second factor is the perceived ease of use of the product (Fox, 2016). Google Glass was removed from shelves in 2015, indicating that it was not necessarily perceived as useful or easy to use. Because of it's complicated, confusing and unattractive design with unnatural mapping, as well as its risk as a distraction, Google Glass is not a well–designed product. The first thing we noticed after opening the Google Glass box was the lack of directions that came along with the product. We were surprised to find just a small piece of cardboard with a few "simple" steps. When we removed the glasses frame from the box, we ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There is a worldwide threat of machines beating people out of jobs that many have invested time and money to acquire. As leaders and positions of management we are the soothsayers to those masses. What can we as leaders be prepared to do to satiate the worried minds of the ones that depend on the existence of these positions? Would it be more detrimental or beneficial to society to reduce the human workforce and put so many bodies out of work? Does protecting the bottom line conflict with social responsibility? how management can incorporate a more utilitarian approach and stay in the game? Our goals for 2016 are primarily focused on increasing shareholder value." As I watched many of my colleagues being escorted out of the building on a Wednesday morning in March 2016, my thoughts wandered back to those words spoken at our most recent employee forum from the previous month. Our CEO was on his annual tour of the country speaking to thousands of employees along the way. The message was a positive one. Success in2015! Projects completed, money saved, and improved customer satisfaction. All of these accomplishments made possible by the innovative and hardworking staff working both behind the scenes and on the frontlines. Now, it was time for new challenges. The message was clear as our CEO transitioned his discussion from our past achievements to our future goals, "We are focusing on shareholder value". My phone rang. It was my young, now former, colleague. He had left some personal items behind but he was no longer permitted to enter the building. I grabbed his items and headed out of the building to meet up with him. When we spoke, he struggled to hold back tears as he explained that Human Resources and Management indicated that in a cost–saving effort, our head office had decided to reduce staffing by 1/3rd. Truth be told, he was one of the hardest working employees in the department. But the decision was made at a very high level and wasn't ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

E. coli O121 and O26 are toxin–producing Shiga–toxigenic Escherichia coli (STEC) that are gram–negative and rod–shaped as can be seen in figure 1 below. Although most E. coli are harmless and are found naturally in the gastrointestinal tracts of mammals, however, E. coli O121 and O26 are pathogenic, meaning they can cause illness. Figure 1: Microbial Structure of a general E. coli bacteria. According to the bad bug book, the incubation period for these pathogens range from 2 to 8 days after consumption of the contaminated product. After consumption, symptoms such as diarrhea and abdominal cramps develop which are often overcome by healthy adults within a week. However, the most susceptible and vulnerable of the population, immunocompromised people, may experience more severe consequences such as hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS). In this particular case, due to the nature of the product, the long shelf life of flour and the tendency for consumers to store the product for long periods before consumption, it is most likely that ... • 20. Should Voting Be An Informed Voter? Many may concede that voting (I am choosing this example) is a civic duty; however, researching the candidate you vote for is necessary to be an informed voter. I would include that as an obvious corollary to the basic duty. However, one shouldn't conclude that voters with whom one disagrees are necessarily ignorant and uninformed. I'd much rather have an apathetic non–voter than an apathetic voter. I am not talking here about people who don't vote on principle, but for people who are not voting because they have no interest in political social issues. We overcome apathy by staying informed. Reading a local newspaper, following social media, or watching the news on television helps to build the connective tissue between us and helps to reinforce the words in the Constitution that "We the People" matter; that we are indeed a "we" and are all in this together; thereby, that "we" are responsible for speaking up in the face of injustice. In regard to gathering information or transparency, the 2016 election process taught us that the mainstream media were no longer the watchdogs that we rely on for uncovering errors and wrongdoings by those who have power; ergo, journalists climbed into bed with those they are supposed to be watching. Apparently, many in the media are grappling with their own souls and journalistic integrity. Recently, Obama accused FOX News for the Democratic Presidential defeat stating that, "Fox news in every bar and restaurant in big chunks of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is the creation of Satoshi Tajiri who combined his love of video games and his childhood hobby of collecting bugs. However, the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe whose lands the pipeline would cross, as well as other indigenous groups, and allies including scientists, have urged the Army Corps of Engineers to reconsider this judgment. Perhaps due to this pressure, the Army Corps of Engineers has since delayed the easement, to the resistance of Energy Transfers Partners (ETP), who say they will build anyway, even without the permit (Heavey). Moreover, regulators cannot afford to prevent these leaks, as they are underfunded (Becker, 2016; Groeger, 2012). In other words, leaks from DAPL are extremely likely. This lack of regulatory funding not only increases the chances that leaks will happen as, for example, pipelines degrade over time, but it also puts the burden on companies to self–regulate, thus leading to underreporting or not reporting incidents (Becker, 2016; Groeger, 2012). This lack of reporting might increase the chances that people consume oil–polluted water following a spill or leak, possibly endangering public health–– though these health impacts often go unmeasured according to Dara O'Rourke and Sara Connolly (2003, p. 601). Furthermore, while companies stay silent to avoid being fined or penalized, any other environmental degradation might continue as well. This situation is not simply predictable; it has happened, as recently as 2013 in North Dakota when Tesoro "spilled more than 20,000 barrels of crude oil in a wheat field in Tioga" (Becker, p. 21) and went undetected over eleven days (Bell, 2014, p. 14). Dara O'Rourke and Sara Connolly point out that in part because pipelines are "highly prone to corrosion" (2003, p. 601), these undetected leaks and small spills are common and cumulative (p. 598). Summer Exam 2016 Lauren Bilkis, Shelbie Charley, Yasmyn Collazo, Taylor Mazur AICE General Paper/Bilous Winter Exam 2016 – Inquiry Research 19 December 2016 EXPOSITORY "'Tourists are rejecting the traditional holiday vacations in favour of experiencing different places and activities.' Why might this be?" Family vacations used to be the go to trip for any given time to travel, but as generations advance the destinations of holiday vacations have evolved alongside society. The mindset of the world today has caused people to reject traditional holiday vacations for new experiences. These new experiences can range anywhere from going to exotic places like Jamaica to Greece to just staying home. There is a reason for all of this change, such as the lack of financial stability, the increase in technology and social media, and different kinds of people with their diverse views. Traveling is expensive, and financial issues have begun to cause the downfall of most vacations. People cannot afford to go and see their family, so they stay home on "vacations" known as staycations. These staycations are a new experience for a lot of people because they are not going anywhere on their vacation time, which is unusual for them. One reason for this is that student loans have gone up tremendously in recent years and before people can worry about going on vacation, they must pay back these debts. These loans can last a lifetime, and instead of worrying about them forever they postpone their vacations, so ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They would have known that he had finally saved enough and just bought his first home one month prior. They would have known that he takes care of his elderly mother. If it was attached to a name they would have known that he came to Canada to find a better life and was in the middle of a two–year application process to sponsor his wife to move to Canada. By outsourcing some of the work to a firm from China, the company could potentially save millions of dollars in Operating Expenses. At the end of the day, really, management was making a calculated decision to place "shareholder value" over the value of their employees. When making decisions, it's tempting to not attach names, to not attach faces, and to get caught wearing blinders with your gaze solely focused on bottom line figures. They did this by describing that the number of students who would actually carry on campus would "be small" and it would be "older community college students" ("Fernandez," 2015). Public opinion also helped the bill pass because Texas is a conservative state with "850,000 license holders" ("Fernandez," 2015). They wanted to make the public happy by passing the bill because the number of people for it outweighed the ones against it. The opinion of people such as the "university's chief of police" spoke out about not being worried because it never had "been an issue" ("Fernandez," 2015).
