- The Radboud University Medical Center in the Netherlands has established 18 Technology Centers to provide technological expertise and resources to researchers. - The Technology Centers have over 250 dedicated staff and serve over 1,600 internal and external users through around 140 consortia. - The goals of the Technology Centers are to maximize the use of technical capabilities, drive innovation through collaboration, and increase external funding. - Lessons from the Radboud model could help inform a potential "DTL 2.0" by defining networks of expertise, obtaining joint funding, and establishing a focused strategic vision and infrastructure.
