SOBORNOST
For The World
Foundation
A group of ordinary people
unified in Heart - Mind - Soul
working for the common good
Why Sub-Sahara Africa?
 14 million children were left orphaned
after the AIDS pandemic
 1 in 5 children under the age of 5
would die from malnutrition & disease
This was all we needed
to know
Sobornost Sent Peggy To Zambia
 Peggy McDermott is a
certified teacher with
an advanced degree
in Education.
 She was the right
person for the job!
Then She Went to Kenya
 Peggy had a dear
friend in the Peace
Corps named Evan
 Evan invited
Sobornost to come
to Kenya to see
what he was doing
there
Sobornost Now Supports
 Kenya: 250 pre-school orphans have
food for the day at the school
 Zambia: 25 high school-aged orphans
receive food for family & school fees
 India: 26 orphans - fed over the year
 India: 3 middle school children
receive support for school fees
Now There Are Happy Children
What Can You Do To Help
 $25 feeds 1 child
in Kenya for month
 $30 feeds 1 child
in Zambia for
month
 $20 feeds 1 child
in India for month
What More Is Needed
 A few more
structures for
schools would help
What About Teachers
 There is always a
need for teacher
advancement
Let’s Dream
 We could provide a cafeteria …
 We could provide more sleeping quarters …
… if we had more funds
