This document discusses open budget initiatives in Ukraine. It describes a website called Open Budget that visualizes Ukraine's national and local budget expenditures and revenues in an effort to increase budget transparency. The site allows users to view budget data by category, such as total education expenditures or detailed secondary education institution costs. The document notes that the open budget software could be adapted for use in other countries. It also outlines a new public finance law in Ukraine and plans to create a public finance web portal to further increase budget transparency.
