THANKS FOR OUR VISITORS – November brings Thanksgiving Day, when we thank God for all he does for us. We
are thankful for those who visit our worship services to celebrate our Lord and ask that you let us know you were here;
please fill out the Fellowship Pad (it‟s in the hymnal rack) with today‟s date, your name, address, phone #, etc.
2011 OFFICER/BOARD NOMINATIONS NEEDED – Please notify President Mike Charles to nominate someone for
one of the following positions: President-Elect (3 year term); Treasurer (Gay Pivonka is willing to stay); Evangelism
Board Chair (current chair is leaving); Stewardship Board Chair (Rich Ryman is willing to stay); Trustees Board Chair
(current chair is leaving). The President Elect serves 3 years (Elect, Current and Emeritus); all other positions are 2 year
terms. (NOTE: The election is scheduled for December 12 at 10am; please put it on your calendar.)
MITE BOX SUNDAY – If your box is already filling up (they hold a lot!), bring it to church on November 14. We will
collect mites on the second Sunday of every month. Every cent counts!
NURSERY AND SUNDAY SCHOOL ARE OPEN – Sunday School registration forms are in the office hallway; please
complete and send it to class with your child (children age 4 to 6th
grade are dismissed to class after the children‟s sermon
at the 9:15 service). The nursery in the basement is open 9am to 10:30am for those toddling thru age 3; ask an usher if you
need assistance. Check out our new pager system which will quietly alert you of any issues while you are in church.
2. SUNDAY SCHOOL NEEDS - 3 pre-k / Kindergarten and 1 Fifth Grade teacher needed – If you are able to help out,
please contact Julie Rusch at 406-9077.
2011’S THEME – As mentioned last month, our theme for 2011 is “His Love–Our Response”. If you would like to lend a
hand to assist with events and accessories to this theme, let Pastor Dave know.
COME TO YOUTH NIGHT! – Wednesdays at 3pm on Confirmation Class nights. Confirmation students (and 6th
graders) stay until 6pm. Senior High youth can stay until 7:30pm. Have fun, get homework help and eat a $3 meal.
VOTER’S MEETING – December 12 at 10am: Come to elect Council positions and church officers. We all need to be
reminded that this is our congregation and His church. We are called to be good stewards of it, and part of that is our
joyful participation in its governance. We hope to see everyone at this brief but vital voter‟s meeting. See you there!
BUDGET – ITS FAITH ABOUT THE FACTS – Soon you will be able to see the 2011 proposed church budget. It will
be posted on the bulletin board outside of the church office two weeks before the voter‟s meeting. Please study is close
and all comments and suggestions are welcome!
COME TO THE FISH FRY – November 12 from 5-7pm. Bring family and friends. Carry out available. Tell your
relatives, friends and neighbors! Better yet, bring them with you!
LOYALTY SUNDAY – On Loyalty Sunday, November 14, we make our annual re-commitment to the Lord‟s work here
and our sacrificial gifts toward that cause. Pledge forms can be found in the bulletin today and the November issue of The
Voice. We have a faith-based budget, therefore what the family of Our Saviour places on their pledge cards plays a role in
crafting the church budget.
BAPTISM SEMINAR – All new and expecting parents who desire their child to be baptized at Our Saviour are asked to
attend a Baptism Seminar (Preferably with your child‟s intended sponsors) on November 13 from 10-11am. Please call
468-4065 to RSVP to attend.
PANCAKE AND PORKIE BREAKFAST SUNDAY NOV 14 – Plan to eat with us in the gym from 8am-11am. Enjoy
a great meal and fellowship on Confirmation Sunday (bring your out of town guests). A free will offering will be taken;
all proceeds will be used to purchase new kitchen equipment. It will be another great meal…we don‟t let you down!
CONFIRMATION DAY – Join us for Divine Worship on November 14 at 10:45am when our Confirmation class of
2010 restates and personally confirm their Baptismal vows.
CHRISTMAS EVE HAS 4 SERVICES! – We are pleased to announce an additional Praise Service at 1:30pm on
Christmas Eve; this is in addition to the regular 3:30pm (Praise) and 5:30/7:30pm (Traditional) services. This will allow
more options for traveling families or those with an early evening event.
WORSHIP ON DECEMBER 25/26 – Our (Saturday) Christmas Day service will be at 10am. On Sunday, Dec. 26, we
will hold three services as usual at 7:45, 9:15 and 10:45am. There will be no Sunday School or nursery on this day.
CANTATA – N.E.W. Lutheran High‟s Cantata is coming to Our Saviour. Come on, crawl out of bed early and fill the
house for this special concert-like worship service! December 5 at 7:45am
ORDER A LUTHERAN STUDY BIBLE – The order form is on the bulletin board in the office hallway. Savings on
various covers, styles, sizes, etc. Orders are due by November 30. Bibles make great special occasion gifts!

ZION-WAYSIDE - MISSION FESTIVAL – Hear Pastor James Lamb, executive director of Lutherans for Life on
Nov. 7 at the 8am and 10:30am services. Pastor Lamb will share the mission opportunities that life issues bring and hold a
special presentation 9:15am. A Pancake Breakfast will be held after both services and anyone is welcome to attend.
