Jamun, also known as Java plum or Indian blackberry, is a fruit that grows on an evergreen tree native to India. There are several varieties of Jamun trees that produce fruits of different sizes, colors, and tastes. The two most common varieties in India are Ra Jaman, which has large purple fruits with sweet pink pulp and small seeds, and Kaatha, which has small and acidic fruits. Other varieties exist in other parts of Asia under different names.
