This document contains Kennadie Johnson's portfolio which includes 10 projects from her Comm 130: Visual Media course. The projects include a spiritually-based photomontage, an instructional Prezi presentation, a magazine cover introducing herself, a logo and business card, an infographic on a trending topic, a promotional brochure for Christmas lights, a basic website mockup, a flyer demonstrating Photoshop skills, and an attempted coding project. For each project, Kennadie provides a description, date, programs used, objective, and process.

3. Montage
Description- A spiritually based
photomontage that blends two
images to convey a message.
Date-October 19
Course- Comm 130: Visual Media
Instructor- Sister Transberg
Programs Used- Adobe Photoshop
Objective- Blend two photographs to create visual flow
throughout the piece using layer masks and filters.
Process- Found past image at the Tetons and a photo
of the Boston Temple. Blurred the tetons, cropped and
added the temple, changed the vividity of the temple
and blurred the edges to help blend the two images,
added typography and applied a color scheme.

4. Prezi
Description- An instructional
presentation using frames, graphics
and a catchy title.

Programs Used- Prezi
Objective- To persuade a client
that Prezi is a viable presentation software
to use for an upcoming campaign.
Process- Sketched out my ideas of a layout, added
content and brackets, found images that applied
and imported them, created map and timed the
process.

5. Magazine

Description- An engaging piece that
will communicate your message to the
target audience, introducing myself to the world.

Objective- Communicate to my audience who I am.
Process- Sketched out my ideas, Created a Shape
Map, Placed my main image, added typography.

Card
Description- A logo and business card
for a company that will be used also on
letterhead.

Description- A trending topic in the media
to inform a wide audience of said“trend”.

Objective- Create a infographic that will intrigue as well
as inform an audience through graphics.
Process- After choosing my background I created the
graphics/icons and placed them accordingly, added color
and typography and then added icons.

8. Brochure
Description- A promotional brochure for the Salt Lake
City, Temple Square Christmas Lights.
Date- November 23-30
Course- Comm 130: Visual Media
Instructor- Sister Transberg
Programs Used- Adobe Indesign, Adobe PhotoShop
Objective-Createafull-bleedfoldedbrochurethatcon-
tains textwrapping, a logo, and high-quality images.
Process- Created landscape layout, chose my color
scheme, applied photos inside of shapes to add detail,
after which I applied my lofo and typography.

Mockup
Description- A basic website mockup
Date-November 16
Course- Comm 130: Visual Media

Programs Used- Adobe Photoshop
Objective- Create a web page layout for a new compa-
ny website to communicate the executive committee’s
vision to the web developer.
Process- Sketched out my ideas, applied images and
shapes to the shape map I had already created, ap-
plied typography and added social media Icons.

age into photoshop, followed tutorials on balancing and
enhanching colors. Applied shapes and typography in-

Programs Used- TextWrangler
Objective-Create a web page review at a poten-
tial employer requests.
Process- Did not follow a process because I was
unable to complete this project.
