Introduction Adolescent Fatherhood has become a common occurrence in today’s society. The challenge of motherhood and teen pregnancy has been looked into in depth. However, most of research programs mainly focus on teenage pregnancy which means that the girl child is given more priority than the father of the child in such situations, researchers and government agencies suggests that fathers are absent. The lack of attention given to adolescent fathers by social workers, health-care practitioners, and Adolescent Fatherhood is not researched adequately which means that the industry should put more effort in providing adequate information about these young fathers. The lack of focus has made the teenage father face many psychological problems without help from the society that has bred them(Mollborn, & Lovegrove, 2010). Thesis This paper will address the critical role played by the social workers and community leaders in helping the adolescent fathers deal with the problems they experience at their age. The Psychological issues will be properly addressed as they affect the behavior of that father. Moreover, the relationship between the adolescent father and the child will be put into context. Adolescent fathers Adolescent fathers are the young boys who become fathers when they are still in their adolescence. The reason adolescent fathers have been previously neglected is the lack of concern with the role a man plays from infancy to childhood. There are also some social prejudicial and social-structural factors that are particular to adolescent fathers that have led to their neglect. Since adolescent fathers are not married at the time of conception and birth, they end up being excluded from taking part in the birth and early care of the child. Some of the factors that are related to the increased risk of adolescent fatherhood include poor academic achievement, being born from a teenage mother, early initiation into sexual activities, and low-income. Psychological and social issues faced by adolescent fathers Adolescent fathers suffer from anxiety and depression due to the burden of having to deal with their new state of fatherhood. They are expected to provide for their children and the mothers of these children yet most of them can barely take care of themselves. The society has branded adolescent fathers as being sexually reckless youth who do not take responsibility for their children and their mothers. Adolescent fathers end up being disowned by their parents and treated as outcasts by the society. Environmental factors that affect adolescent fathers There are some environmental factors that affect adolescent fathers. One of these factors is educational and occupational barriers. These barriers limit the male capacity of these adolescent fathers to assume their parental responsibilities. Utilizing a community-based participatory research approach, 239 African-American youth surveys were collected during 2013–2014 in two urban public housing developments with low socioeconomic profiles. Over half (52.3%) of the sample was in high school and female (58%). 65.3% reported living with their mother while 38% reported being employed. Bivariate analysis revealed significant correlations between depression and maternal substance abuse, paternal monitoring, parent-child relationship, and family time. Results from the regression analyses indicated that higher depression scores were significantly associated with youth who reported poor parent-child relationships, low levels of paternal super- vision and high levels of maternal drug abuse. These findings provide support for claims about the importance of parent-child relationship and paternal monitoring as a protective factor for depressive symp- toms, particularly during adolescence. Moreover, findings suggest that interventions which are targeted towards urban African American youth should address parental factors as a pathway to decrease depression among this population. How Teenage Fathers Matter for Children: Evidence From the ECLS-B. Journal of Family Issues, 3-30. Mollborn and Lovegrove point out that there is not much research undertaken on the relationship between teenage fathers and their children and how this relationship can affect the development and health of both parties. The authors used the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study-Birth Cohort (ECLS-B) to determine the effect of teenage fatherhood on children. They discovered that majority of the children with teenage fathers experience a multitude of social disadvantages at home and at school. They also found that there was negligible difference in father-kids relationships between adult and adolescent fathers. In addition, the authors suggest some policies to be implemented in order to curb the increase in teenage fatherhood around the world. .

Nature and scope of child abuse and neglect Child abuse is a devastating social problem in society. While the legal definition of child abuse and neglect may vary across different states, there are four recognized classifications of child abuse and neglect. They are sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional maltreatment, and neglect. They neglect medical, educational, and other forms of neglect. Almost 700 000 children are abused every year in the United States. That is about 1 percent of the total number of kids. In 2019, it was estimated that 1770 children in the United States died because of child abuse and neglect. However, the data is incomplete because there are likely to be a lot of unreported cases (Krugman & Poland, 2019). The most prone victims of abuse and neglect are the youngest children. That is children who are in the first year of their life. WWW points out that in 2019 children of 3 years and below experienced a mistreatment rate of 16 per 1000. For children aged 4 to 7 years, the mistreatment rate was 12 per 1000 population. For 8 to 11 years, the mistreatment rate was at 8 per 1000 population. This study investigated the influence of social networking on the psychological adjustment of students with hearing impairment in Oyo State, Nigeria. The study adopted the survey research design. A purposive sampling technique was employed to select adolescents with hearing loss. A simple random sampling technique was also used to select adolescents with hearing impairment who were thirteen years and above from both the junior and the senior secondary schools in Ibadan, Oyo State. 6 research questions were generated and data were collected through a structured questionnaire tagged “Social Networking (Social Media) Scale” with a reliability coefficient of 0.74. Data were analysed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics of Pearson Product Moment Correlation, Multiple regression and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The study revealed that adolescents with hearing impairment uses Social Networking (SN) in order to access information, sustain relationships and because of its affordability. The finding also revealed that use of SNS has a positive significant relationship with emotional intelligence (r = 0.601, p<0.05);><0.05)>0.05) among adolescents with hearing impairment. The study concluded that use of Social Networking (SN) have a great influence on psychological well-being, access to information, sustaining relationships, self expression among adolescents with hearing impairment. Based on these findings, it was recommended that adolescents with hearing impairment should be actively involved in activities with their hearing peers. These activities will help to boost the self esteem and emotional intelligence of persons with hearing loss while it will eliminate issues of social isolation and facilitate social inclusion. The adolescent stage is a period of turmoil marked with enormous vibrancy, discovery, innovation and hope and also the time when many of them initiate sexual relationships and involvement. This can be a challenging time for young people who are becoming aware of their sexual and reproductive rights and needs, and who rely on their families, peers, schools, media and health service providers for affirmation, advice, information and the skills to navigate is sometimes a difficult transition to adulthood. The subject on sex has been surrounded by mystery and beclouded by dark silence as neither parents nor teachers are ready to discuss it with teenagers despite unplanned pregnancies, dropping out of school by students, Sexually Transmitted Infections among teenagers. The study investigated influence of teen contraceptive use) on academic achievement among public secondary school students in Bungoma South Sub-County, Kenya. The study adopted Albert Bandura’s Social Cognitive Theory postulated in 1986. A descriptive research design was used with target population of 3774 Form 3 students. A sample of 400 students was selected using, Miller, L.R. & Brewer, J.D. (2003) mathematical formula and stratified randomly from 52 schools and conveniently selected equally between boys and girls. Data was collected using structured interview schedule and questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. Results highlights most students were aware about contraceptive use with females slightly more than males and media was the major source of information on contraceptive use while parents/guardians had no significant contribution since teenagers rarely receive their first information on sexual matters from their parents. More than half of the sexually active students used contraceptives though it still interfered with their academic performance. This paper points at sex education curriculum in schools, setting up reproductive health institutions for the youth and distribution of contraceptives among teenagers which has a bearing on students’ performance.

RESULTS: Overall life span (LS) was 2252.1±1742.5 days and cumulative 5-year survival (5YS) reached 73.2%, 10 years – 64.8%, 20 years – 42.5%. 513 LCP lived more than 5 years (LS=3124.6±1525.6 days), 148 LCP – more than 10 years (LS=5054.4±1504.1 days).199 LCP died because of LC (LS=562.7±374.5 days). 5YS of LCP after bi/lobectomies was significantly superior in comparison with LCP after pneumonectomies (78.1% vs.63.7%, P=0.00001 by log-rank test). AT significantly improved 5YS (66.3% vs. 34.8%) (P=0.00000 by log-rank test) only for LCP with N1-2. Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: phase transition (PT) early-invasive LC in terms of synergetics, PT N0—N12, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells- CC and blood cells subpopulations), G1-3, histology, glucose, AT, blood cell circuit, prothrombin index, heparin tolerance, recalcification time (P=0.000-0.038). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and PT early-invasive LC (rank=1), PT N0—N12 (rank=2), thrombocytes/CC (3), erythrocytes/CC (4), eosinophils/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), segmented neutrophils/CC (8), stick neutrophils/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10); leucocytes/CC (11). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (area under ROC curve=1.0; error=0.0). CONCLUSIONS: 5YS of LCP after radical procedures significantly depended on: 1) PT early-invasive cancer; 2) PT N0--N12; 3) cell ratio factors; 4) blood cell circuit; 5) biochemical factors; 6) hemostasis system; 7) AT; 8) LC characteristics; 9) LC cell dynamics; 10) surgery type: lobectomy/pneumonectomy; 11) anthropometric data. Optimal diagnosis and treatment strategies for LC are: 1) screening and early detection of LC; 2) availability of experienced thoracic surgeons because of complexity of radical procedures; 3) aggressive en block surgery and adequate lymph node dissection for completeness; 4) precise prediction; 5) adjuvant chemoimmunoradiotherapy for LCP with unfavorable prognosis.

Adaptation Towards the Sense of Smell: Rapid adaptation within the first second, with further slow adaptation. Psychological adaptation greater than receptor adaptation, involving feedback inhibition from the central nervous system.
