2. Initial Reaction
I am deciding whether I should do Print or Video games. The print is appealing
because I enjoyed doing it before, in addition I also have a good idea for what I could
do for it. On the other hand, I have just completed the video game rotation, so that’s
more recent, and I enjoyed doing that as well. The only issue with print is that I don’t
want it to be too like my print rotation magazine/website. I feel as though doing video
game could certainly be more original, well to a certain point anyway. I think I will
most likely do a video game animation, as I think I will be able to make something
more creative and genuine. This I think will be the best option of the two, neither is
more difficult, both are just time consuming. Although, video game is definitely more
time consuming, based on my previous animation. I imagine it will be less time
consuming as I have had a good amount of practice on it.
6. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected?
Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• Yes. I tried to collect images for 3 areas. The first was the games which inspired my
original ideas in the mind maps. These games were Fallout 4,Thief and Assassin’s
Creed: Chronicles. The next was colours, this was any images from games that
used colour in a way that I liked, and thought might be good for mine. The last
was styles, this was any images that I liked the style of, and I thought I might use.
How will your mood board influence your final product?#
I think that the images I have collected will help me to really visualise what I want at
this stage, and help me in future stages to see any differences in my goal for this
animation.
