Rainbow 6 Siege is a tactical first-person shooter featuring destructible environments. Players can breach walls, floors, and ceilings to gain tactical advantages. The game pits two teams of operators - attackers and defenders - against each other over the course of multiple rounds. Operators have unique abilities to aid their team on attack or defense. Maps are based on real world locations and can be altered through player interactions with the environment. Communication and teamwork are key aspects of gameplay.

Balancing is a problem seemingly no one exactly knows how to tackle. Should you calculate it all? Should you tinker with values until you're satisfied with every detail? Should you turn to focus tests? I aim to propose a different approach and treat balance as something inherently systemic. I'm going to talk about structuring systems and content around a balanced framework. I will elaborate on my experience with such an approach in Phantom Doctrine, focusing on solutions we utilized and effective techniques required to master the balancing of a lengthy campaign in a complex game.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2. Setting and Gameplay
Rainbow 6 siege is a tactical Fps based in the modern day that draws a
lot of feachers from its's predecessor game. (rainbow 6 Vegas 2). This
can bee seen with the breaching and tactical overview of the game
although. It is a completely different game when you see it in action.
Taking from games like battlefield and other Fps shooters. With a new
type of game idea forcing 2 teams in to close quarter combat with a
map that can be destroyed as easy as ripping paper. Having objectives
like; Save a hostage, secure and area, defuse a bomb. With the maps
being based around terrorist situations that the objective fits too, a
special operative team (you and 4 others) may have to engage.
This game has no set difficulty for its multiplayer its just go in and see
how you can compete if you want to be agenst people your level you
can try competitive although that where most pro players will be and it
will be hard to compete for an average gamer.
3. Similar games
Battlefield 4 is a good example
because it seems like a rainbow 6
siege on a massive scale with whole
buildings being destroyed and mas
destruction on a whole new level
maybe not as much and easy as siege
though, with wall requiring explosives
more than just gunshots.
Another game it is similar to is the ghost
reason franchise. Another “Tom Clancy”
game. It should be a lot similar with the
tactical aspect. With teamwork and good
communication being the main part of the
game.
4. Graphics
Rainbow graphics for a 2015 game is really good and only keep
getting better with a huge 2017 update to improve facial
feachers of each characters. Making them look less of a “potato”
and have more character and look to the face instead of a rally
scary/ funny looking model. Also sorting out the lighting so you
weren't blinded every time you looked outside. And as well as
the lighting reflecting off your gun. With minor adjustments to
the look of the scopes on the game too.
The game can run at 60 fps on xbox one and Ps4 but for the Pc
the recommended settings and stats are:
• The official Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege system
requirements recommend that gamers equip their systems
with a GeForce GTX 670 with 2GB of VRAM. As you'll see in
this guide however, Rainbow Six Siege features high-
resolution textures, high-fidelity graphics, and NVIDIA
GameWorks technology that enhances anti-aliasing and
ambient occlusion in each and every match.
• For a system capable of enabling these effects and making
of the most of the PC-version's graphics you’ll need to
build your new PC, or upgrade your old system, with the
GeForce GTX 960, which will enable a High level of detail
with HBAO+.

5. Audio.
Rainbow has a soundtrack but its not herd till the menu
screen and this is the only time you will hear the official
sound track throughout the whole game (or a long
version of it). The idea behind not having much music is
to make the player listen to footsteps and enemy
weapons more. Certain weapons have a distinct sound
and this can give away to the enemy team what
characters they're using from a simple gunshot. As well as
being able to use the sound to your advantage in a gun
fight. Being able to hear the footsteps of your enemy's
having a slight idea of where the enemy maybe. Or where
the enemy is planning to breach.
6. Rainbow 6 Siege (World)
Rainbow 6’s world had defied gaming. With
destructible environments like in the battle field
franchise although perfected and focused on in CQC
(close quarter combat). With most surfaces in a
map distractible. Being able to make lines of sight
across a corridor by blowing up a wall or creating a
new entry by breaching a window with a breaching
charge. With Architecture / tarrain being the frame
of the map, and the rest of the walls being more
like objects that attackers and defenders can
interact with.
7. (World)
This is a screenshot from a pro league game. Where it overlooks the defenders placemat/ position
although this is a perfect example of showing how the wall can be made in such a way that the map
can change dude to placement. The reinforced was a destructible wall. But now cannot be destroyed
by players ,like solid walls, Although certain characters can counter this. (I will go over that later).
• Destructible
wall
• Reinforced
wall
• Solid wall

points
8. (World)
Looking at the image you can see how the gameplay plans out with the
idea of breaching being a key part using a breaching charge may give
your team the advantage you need in battle and give a new line of
sight onto a room. This is because the world is more like an object you
can make into a explosive playground.
9. Characters
• Rainbow 6 has 34 operators that are placed in two
sets of different types of characters that go into 2
categorizes. These are, attackers and defenders, these
2 types battle it out in multiplayer games. Taking
turns on defending and attacking an objective using
the operators for that preferred line of work.
• Attackers
• Defenders
• Highlighted
operator
(player is
hovering
over)
10. Attackers
Attackers are the people who will be pushing an objective on a certain mission that is given to them. This could be getting a hostage or securing
an area. while it sound simple its not so much because the players on the enemy team will be trying to stop you from achieving this by wiping
out your team. This is where the operators come in. Every operator (apart from recruit) has certain skills to help them in the attack. For
example Jackal, he's an ”anti roamer” character that is meant to counter people that runs round the map and try's to pick you off from an
unexpected angle. He does this by scanning footprints and then proceeding to track enemy's down(this is his use mainly, but you player control
him, if you don’t chose to use the ability you don’t have to, its just a perk of using him).
Another operator is Thermite. He's the counter to the enemy reinforcement. Being able to breach though those surfaces by a thermite
breaching charge. This will create a new entry into the CQC battlefield.
11. Defenders
You can think of these operators are just the castle defense game type. These guys jobs are to defend
the objective the attackers are trying to get to / achieve . Or just eliminate the attackers. Like attackers
you have a selection of defenders with special ability's to aid them in defending. One of these defenders
are, Rook. His ability consists of deploying an armor bag where witch defender can take one armor plate
to defend the torso from incoming damage by 20%. This would give the defenders more time to react
when attackers are breaching meaning they may just get that edge in battle.
Next character we see is tachanka witch is a low mobility defender like rook but has a special ability to
place a high caliber turret in a position of his choosing meaning that the attackers will have to get past a
big gun and the Man himself to get anywhere near the objective.
12. NPCs
• There are little to no variety when it come to siege when facing
these type of characters. Are only available in the “terrorist hunt”
or “situations” mode. Where you will face them for small amounts
of xp. With verity's from the base model with different guns to
enemy's in bomb suits. That will effect gameplay and how u handle
a situation.
13. Perspective / Avatar
Rainbow 6 is in a 1st person perspective with 3D graphics, where you are the
character you play as and pick at the start of the match. Main defense you
could see is the weapon choice you are given and what weapon your holding.
With the other players on your team able to see what your character looks
like from there perspective.
14. Cut Scenes
Rainbow 6 isn't a story based game therefor you'd think
they'd not have any cut senes in the game? Well there are. On
the 1st start up of the game or situations you'll be greeted by
a video describing why “rainbow” was pulled together and
why these people are so special. This is only to put context
behind the PvE mode and not so much the PvP. As well as
every base operators as a a into move to tell you about the
character you bought in, in game credit.
15. Interface
• Rainbow 6 is available on all platforms but I've only played it on Xbox so I'm
only familiar with these controls the most. With vibrations from the
controller happening every time you shoot, take damage or do an action
that requires a lot of force like falling or sometimes reloading.

The box art also shows the extra
